@rakesterheadshot Fire On High was the intro music used by CBS Sports before their horse races in the 70's when Secretariat raced. There's plenty of other videos of the race without music. Why post the same old thing?
Im in my late 40s and this has been the best horse in my Lifetime maybe the History of Horse racing in America Sea Biscuit was a great horse in his era
I missed Secretariat by a year --my first Derby memory is of Cannonade in '74-- but I did meet Ron Turcotte in 2004 when he was at my local track fundraising for disabled jockeys.
As a matter of fact, I arranged for him to do a live interview with my local sports-talk radio station who were out there for a live remote broadcast.
I liked it. Hope to see more from you. I saw Secretariat at Churchill Downs when in 73 when I was 5. For years, I thought I'd coined the name "Big Red" for him. Cause I told my Dad to bet on the Big Red Horse.
You're so lucky to have seen him in person. It's amazing that such a great horse came along at such a young age in our lives and all these years since none else has come close, not even the 2 triple crown winners....Big Brown actually was who inspired me to do this video after such a disappointment at the Belmont.
I hope to post more videos, on various topics...Working on my video creating/editing skills right now. Don't know when my next will be.
why the hell add music to this?
