I really respect the NZDF but when the hell are we going to get some decent equipment seriously? At present we unable to stand on our own two feet which is a little sad to be honest.
@jomardomingo77 According to the MBT wiki ( shows the mbt's of countries around the world) New Zealand does not have one. Either that or no one knows. Considering they no longer have Strike fighters , it wouldnt be hard to imagine they wouldnt have tanks either.
Holy shit how much skydiving and aerobatics do you kiwis want to do and how many times do you have waste ammunition into nothing!? no wonder there are barely of you in afghanistan ... (obviously not the reason for this)
New Zealand and Great Britain has stood against Tyrany, oppression and evil little dictators. We have and always will stand shoulder to shoulder in the name of freedom and democracy. Both our great nations have a magnificent and proud history. Our armed forces ensure our freedom and liberty and preserve our way of life. haha ANZAC's mate but one stupid decision was to cancel ur order of 24 F-16s reducing your fighter capabilities to well..... 0 but DW AUS will always have ur back.
funny video u should look at "Gruen transfer pitch invade New Zealand"
@hangout4eva , We have brand new ships (australian/NZ join venture), we have new land vehicles (not US) and we are getting new choppers (not US), we do have some old choppers that date back 40 years, and some older air craft that are US
@haienbleurgh Currently it doesnt, but a few soldiers in the infantry have their "wings". The NZSAS conducts most of the "paratrooper" type operations in the NZDF along with the New Zealand Air Force.
@haienbleurgh No not that I know off, there are'nt enough soldiers to form an actual Para unit. However I may be wrong. At the most a Coy of Paras which would combine all units within the Army e.g. Infantry, Armoured, Artillary etc.... But I doubt the Army would pull these soldiers away from their parent units. Besides we are a peaceful nation. There is hardly any need to form such a unit.
@pjezierski we are the best friends you folk in the U.S. will ever have. When we disagree we commonly have the respect to tell you, and when we agree with your cause we stand to the death. We are true friends not yes men.

@Vladimirovich89 See the NZ in ANZAC Bro? We are not nor will we ever be against ourselves. As for the rest, my grandad's unit apparently spent a lot of dangerous time trying to bury Americans properly at Casino. He felt from his experience they should take more care as soldiers he told me. He also told me friendly fire was always an issue with them. Just one recounted view , Bro. He was though a gentle and quiet man but served with honour in both world wars.
@Vladimirovich89 , Not anti USA, just don't like nukes in our waters, not anti ANZAC, I think you mean ANZUS which was Australian, New Zealand United States pack, fell over when New Zealand told the USA they had to tell us if their ships had nukes or were nuke powered, the USA have a policy of not stating, but the two countries have very shared values and back ground

Police accused of being fearful in tackling culprits over citys growing toll of racial assaults THE number of white victims of racist attacks in a Yorkshire city has risen 30 per cent in a year to more than 300 and police have been accused of being afraid to take on the culprits
I love New Zealand. You guys are definitely part of the English group with the US, England, Australia, Canada and Great Britain. Respect. One of the best places to vacation. From an American!
Jeremy. Don't insult New Zealabnd. It is not part of the "English group". New Zealand has more in common with Scotland and Australia than England. The New Zealanders like the Australians feel grateful to the United States for saving them in WW2. They owe England nothing. England and the United States enjoy the Special Relationship. Most Australians and New Zealanders don't trust the English. Maybe you do.
2. What I meant by English was that they are part of the pact of English Speaking Nations. I'm pretty sure they are in the UK/USAlliance I read about on Wiki where we share intel and stuff.
But if they are close to Australia, wasn't Australia settled on by British people?
Jeremy. Australia was settled mainly by poor convicts in fetters, many from Ireland. Their English captors, the whipping bosuns, governors, admirals, etc. settled there too.
Out of roughly 160000 - 170000 transported to Oz only about 26000 were Irish and many of them were free members of the convicts family. The overwhelming majority, much to the chagrin of contemporary popularist Aussie historians, were English which explains why their accent is built on Cockney foundations while ours (NZ ) has its roots in a Scottish brogue. The English were far and away the majority convict population.
biggest. The average person in England things that New Zealand is part of Holland. When asked what was the capital of New Zealand, an English quiz person said Cape Town. That is how stupid they are.
Mate I have just returned to NZ after 18 years working in the Northern Hemisphere (I have Irish citizenship as well) in roles as diverse as professional deer hunter, yacht skipper, construction management, plumber, pipefitter, business owner blah blah blah. I have met a broad spectrum of the UK population and would recommend you try to find a superior product to peddle because what you just tried sell me was, to put it mildly, complete crap. As a country we are, sadly I have found, the dummies.
biggest. OK. I'll put my hand up. You often have to counter crap with crap on youtube. I think that I would get on well with you - I would certainly not talk crap - especially if you had that rifle on you. :)
Good on ya mate. I am definitely not looking to have a barney with anyone but I am anti the history paintbrushes that come out so quickly from characters on you tube. I have read your posts before swanningaround and you're obviously not an arsehole but youtube sometimes makes us all do involuntary impersonations.
Exactly. I saw what Jeremy wrote too. It is pathetic when Americans come in with good will and have their country rubbished. I have been to NZ too, and found that most people there are very pro-American.
@Jeremy1281988 We don't want to be "part of the English group". New Zealand has close relations with South Africa and Australia. It also owes the US big time for WW2. New Zealand has lttle in common with England. We don't even like it.

We in Britain haven't forgotten the support our friends in NZ gave us back in '82 when we needed help in getting the Falklands back.
To paraphrase Simon Le Bon In the Duran Duran song 'Ordinary World', "where are your friends when you need them most?"
Well, we know where New Zealand was - standing shoulder to shoulder with Great Britain. Thanks.
