some people says many successful businesses are started during depressions, like disney in the 30s. how many started in the weimar republic when it hyperinflated? i dont think this recession will be like any other. the only good investment will be gold. hope for the best but expect the worse.

this shit cracked me up. Edmund Phelps is one of the most arrogant Keynesians out there. Poor guy spent his life studying a pile of moot. I'm sure he cried during the stagflation of the 70's. I can see him cursing at a painting of Keynes, "you said this could never happen!"
