Another defeat at Wimbledon for Roger. Finally, tennis has more talented players around to show that Federer is not as 'super' has people used to say he was, when he played against the likes of Henman and little Hewitt haha.
Roger got lucky 7 years ago, he was only untouchable because there was so few top players around in the mens game to test him.
Great video and great poem though, gives you goosebumps!
@Barkermush well , would you say now that Djokovic is a better player than Nadal coz he beat him 6 times this year and Rafa couldnt beat him in any of his 1-1 meetings with him? I admire all players , Rafa, Roger, and Novak but lets not say Roger won because there was no one else..
Roger cry like baby and is SHAM, always overact like cry baby. no credit to Rafael give by roger. Rafael made to no enjoy win. Rafael knee tendinitis still beats roger. true classy man rafael. roger is smelly no teeth. nadal is true class. love nadal.
Federer's time as gone now. Much better players around now than a few years ago[some players have matured etc] so he can't dominate like he used to.
He's been losing to a fair lot of players now not just Nadal, he only just scraped through the 1st round at Wimbledon if he was playing a better player he wud ave been knocked out in the 1st round.
Finally lost to Berdcyh who was then destroyed by Nadal... lost to Soderling in the French.
Ranked World Number 3 now, & miles behind Nadal on points
@LCfoxes While this is all great to know, it has nothing to do with this video. Listen to Kipling's words and realize that he doesn't speak about stature or legacy.
This is just beautiful - these are inspiring words put to the ever-blossoming career of a truly inspirational man. Rudyard Kipling's words are timeless
It means that if you are willing to give everything you got and are willing to put yourself through the pain for one minute, you can do anything and achieve any dream; hence the, "Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,"
It simply means that in life...we should make every moment count. If you have 60 years to live, let every year be worth your while. Or in a smaller scale, if for example you are running a 100 meter dash race, you should give 100% of yourself in every second until you finish the race. Win or lose, if you have given it your all, you´ve earned your reward. Sort of like a Carpe Diem thing.
"IF you can keep your head when all about you. are losing blaming it on you"...Federer did this at Madrid 09...he sharaped all spanish and Nadal to sayed to him that he will preparace for the French Open
It was on his land he sent him back the package. that for having took his title on his ground, he shall strike him back in his own courtyard in front of his men.
What a chock! He even gave some of his as he broke his heart when he had the chance; like when he received a slap, he took him down to see him loose his title. But, this time, the smallest stayed smaller and didn't even made it to the top.
Nadal got Federer at FO before Wimbeldon. Roger got Nadal there before FO.
You know I still come back to this video when I feel bad after a loss in the league or when I feel like I want to cry but I can't , and after hearing this poem a few times I feel 100% better and ready to kick some arse!!
What a beautiful tribute you've put together here. I've always loved the American Beauty score and it fits perfectly here.
As a huge fan of Roger it's been difficult watching him struggle against Rafa who is indeed a classy and worthy champion. Maybe Roger will in time find a comforting peace and tranquility no matter what happens in his future battles with Nadal.
Thanks again for putting this up. Great work and congratulations on your thoughtful video.
My fav poem too ever since Roger read it out. Is it possible that Roger read it a lot more beautifully than this guy did? (And ahem...*sarcasm*...even more beautifully than Nadal?) ;)
I loved this video, thank you. It's great when the poem says "and treat those two impostors just the same", and we see Roger crying of victory and loss, i think it's a brilliant solution.
if he had won al him slam finals, he had 18 of them now. thats an big if. but the fact that he has already reached 18 slam finals on his 27th, says enough. i think he is the greatest player that ever lived
i'm not even gonna attempt to write a long explanation for what I feel about this vid ('cause you already know how i feel). drawn out explanation will do it no justice. but what i will say is, no lie, this almost made me cry. and as someone already said, after the aussie open final, this vid was much needed.
i don't even log in much to youtube because i don't have a reason to make comments usually...but this video is epic....well put together, appropriate, and moving. i root for federer not because i think he's a great person or because i'm a fan. i root for him because he's the definition of tennis and his game is an artform. nadal is a great guy, but he's not federer.
OMG this is amazing!!! Have you done this? or is it a famous advert? Either way I loved it. I hope Roger can see this, is really touching, this Kipling poem fits perfectely with Roger's moment. I hope he's better now.
I am watching this because Roger lost yesterday to Nadal!I wish Roger can come back!
