This was one of the most marvellous plots in a movie about the deportations of Jewish people and at the same time a metaphor for all those who did or didn't collaborate. Bien à vous, monsieur Chat-L'Homme.

Je voudrais acheter ce film ! J'aime tellement bien Alain Delon. Quand j'etais un etudiant a la Sorbonne en 1967, j'etais et je suis encore tellement amoureuse de lui.

..Losey tried to set an excellent atmosphere that could remind the books of kakfka and he actually made it possible...i think it is also the best performance of alain delon absolutely perfect for this role...
