  • I know a girl who's a vocal major at howard payne. I go to TCU, and I have to play this for my barrier in about an hour lol

  • Try using some rubber mallets.

  • Really nice playing. I particularly liked the contrast in dynamics. I only have one criticism: Make sure that the melody is heard throughout. It could just be the recording, but it was difficult to hear in some places. For example, the second group of sixteenth notes at the beginning. I played this piece many years ago and if I remember correctly, the melody is oftentimes in the right outside mallet. You may want to consider a harder mallet there and keep the She-e Wu's for the other three.

  • A bit too slow, for me. Nice mallets; they're the She-e Wu's, correct? Nice phrasing too.

If you kept the musicality and gave it 12-16 clicks you'd be golden. Well done.

  • Im glad you did not take this too fast. It was musical and you seemed relaxed. Congratulations!

  • Awesome, that looks like a marimba one? I always love "Nagoya Marimbas" it is really influenced by gamelan music. Keep up the good work

  • Yes, it is a Marimba One. We got it about five years ago. Yeah, that is a very cool piece. I would like to learn more about gamelan music. Thanks!

  • very nice sounding song! what mallets are those?

  • Thank you! They are the Shee-Wu signature mallets (hard) by Malletech.
