That's because America has been exposed to that BS for so long that it's shell has had plenty of time to harden. People don't buy it as easily as they used to, so advertisers have no choice but to use subtle tactics. In China, it's not been as long since they're bombarded by ads from the corporate world, so they can still afford to use "older tactics". If you think this one is not subtle, you haven't seen anything yet.. ;)

I may sound like Captain obvious but I think the panda was lonely and wanted a family like the little girl so he followed them and realized how much more he wanted his family so he found a magic Coke Cola bottle and the two...(Insert word here[I.E Genies, etc.]) gave him his which and he was happy =).
I still remember this ad ; I loved it .. found it so cute (as everyone) ; Choosing Chinese virtual people characters makes it even more valuable as choosing a panda, a China symbol , and not a pig as many other brand did. AdmanGo China

So the US versions for the holiday use polar bears, the Chinese version simply copy the same ideas but with panda...hmmm, I guess that's ok.
