I remember when they brought it to Okinawa in the early 2000's. I want to say about 2002. The owner of Signal told me that with the single turbine (circuit trim) it makes 700 hp. With the twin turbo set up it's making over 1000hp. If you all ever get a chance to see it in person, I'm telling you, you will be impressed. It's an amazing car. I was blessed to have lived in Japan and known the owner of a shop that knows Signal's owner.
Now imagine if that imbecile crashing into the Supra.... That would truly hurt my feelings... R34 & Supra destroyed.. Thank G the R34 is AWD because i can only imagine if it weren't.

Yeah it is. Its an exact duplicate of the shop car they have in japan. I would have them HKS Mine's MCR or even Esprit build my GT-R (I wish) But I wouldnt have decked it out like the Signal r34 thats too much for me. Like to keep it simple. Well i was sadly dissapointed with the video quailtiy as for the cameraman just did a horrible job capturing the video. But the R34 owner needs to make more videos maybe even a demo run of his car. I still say the gtr would have won

Unless you drift I still don't see why do people even bother buying a GT-R and turn it RWD? If its known for its prowess in AWD mode then why bother? The 3kGT was AWD I hear not one person turning it into RWD. Just my thought.

Out of the Toyota Supra, Nissan Skyline, and Mitsubishi 3000GT the Supra is the slowest out of the three and the Skyline being the quickest (just saying for all the Supra fan boys)
Maybe in japan. But US spec mkiv supra turbo is faster then a vr4 stock vs stock. Just takes a lil more skill to get the supra to do it cause it's rwd instead of awd.
Yeah, cuz a supura doesn't hold the fastest standing mile street car speed at 242mph or anything. Supras owners/fanboys might be cocky as hell, but their cars have ALWAYS backed up their mouths. Skylines are always hit or miss, and even then top end supras lay waste to all competition.

answer to all of you...both GTR n Supra are fast. but 2jz > rb26 is true. reason why ppl think GTRs are faster n can do low 8s with mods all coz of its 4wd. on the drag, unless Supras on full slicks, its too hard to get t off the line with good launch, but once Supra starts roling, we say BYE BYE GTR, on a straight line that is. but overall, GTR is a slightly better car with all round performance.
2jz is can get more power...that doesn't mean it's better...supra aren't that good of a car..i have a mark II WIT a 1jz...n i'm beating supra's at da track..

Check out Titans car squaring of against the domestics in 10.5 outlaw. And it's in the running for the championship. RB is an awesome motor but The 2J takes the cake
Its been proven that skylines are faster BS. Let me just put this into perspective the 2J has gone 6.40@220. The fastest nissian engine is actually the VQ at 6.6X. The RB has been surpassed by the Z motor sooo. It's funny the 2JZ actually single handedly destroyed the Pro drag circuit.
what u CAN see from that video, is that BOTH cars were getting off the line with equal strenght... and there was no winner declared either, so dont make assumptions... the skyline is an awesome machine and because it came out when toyota ended there production of the supra in 98, it has more advanced capabilities... but even with all that said, aint no RB motor thats as bullet proof as the 2JZ and no tranny stronger than that of a 6spd Supra...

well well well... yeah horsepower wise u might be right but when it comes to laying that horsepower down to the ground and getting that edge over the competition whether on a staright or a circuit the skyline is clearly faster.... i ll show u a vid with an 800hp skyline against the 1000hp supra and clearly the skyline wins why???? because it had the ability to lay the power down that quick.... this video is just a good example of how hard it is to control such power coming out at the same time.
In drag racing a properly set up RWD car will dominate an AWD car everytime. Circuit I cant argue there you got me. I dont have a good example. But Drag racing the supra is setting all the records. The fastest 6speed, fastest import engine and fastest car in the standing mile. And Im not bashing the skyline at all. I've just been a supra fan since 1996
Big deal when turned into a "drag car" the supra is better.
When they are more street car based which is how they can should be compared the GTR shits all over Supra. Pretty sure the fastest GTR on street tyres and registered is still around a sec faster then the closest supra. We have them here in the mid 8's.
If you were from Trinidad and knew the cars you would know that the Supra at that time Supra was tested at just over 700hp ( Now 875 and running 10sec). So don't assume you know anything to make people feel you know what you are talking about when clearly you have never seen any of these cars in your life and you are whistling Dixie out of your ass!!!
A GTR Skyline (RB26DETT) is not faster than ANY TT Supra. Handling may be better in a skyline because they're lighter, and some are AWD, but that doesn't make them better. Just different with different classes. I've been in both of the cars, equally modified and the supra was much faster in a straight.
When it comes to street cars (which is what matters) GTR is always gonna be faster.
I totally agree 2j is the better engine but there is nothing that great about the supra itself. The supra you mention doing 6.40 is quite abit more modded then the 7.37 GTR.
In complete street trim we have GTR's here doing 8's. I think a low 10 is still the fastest supra using radials here. I realise you probs have faster ove there but still doubt they are doing low 8's.

Ok I finally admit that the 2JZ is a better engine than the RB26, but consider this toyota had to take their engine project
(the 2JZ) to an Independent German company so that they would engineer it.toyota did have to do with the construction but it was mostly the german company work. I think of the 2JZ as an ultimate blend of German engineering and Japanese Construction. The RB26 is only Japanese engineered and built. Toyota did a similar partnership with yamaha when constructing the 2ZZGE.

This is a good match japans top cars racing.even taugh you can see it wasent fair cause the skyline had a late jump and in the middle of the race the skyline was going sides to sides. They should seriosly have a rematch.

Not really a wannabe, but whatcha say is true, alot of people cant handle fast cars at all, not to say 8's or 9's. I like Skyline's better, cause of the All Wheel drive, but I'd had Either,if I have a choice I take Skyline myself.

answer to all of you...both GTR n Supra are fast. but 2jz > rb26 is true. reason why ppl think GTRs are faster n can do low 8s with mods all coz of its 4wd. on the drag, unless Supras on full slicks, its too hard to get t off the line with good launch, but once Supra starts roling, we say BYE BYE GTR, on a straight line that is. but overall, GTR is a slightly better car with all round performance.

Everyone was bitch oh this and that. they pretty much stopped competing if they didnt have a 2J. There is only one japanese engine fighting the doesmestics in there respective class and thats the 2J. Check out Titans car squaring of against the domestics in 10.5 outlaw. And it's in the running for the championship. RB is an awesome motor but The 2J takes the cake

Its been proven that skylines are faster BS. Let me just put this into perspective the 2J has gone 6.40@220. The fastest nissian engine is actually the VQ at 6.6X. The RB has been surpassed by the Z motor sooo. It's funny the 2JZ actually single handedly destroyed the Pro drag circuit.

what u CAN see from that video, is that BOTH cars were getting off the line with equal strenght... and there was no winner declared either, so dont make assumptions... the skyline is an awesome machine and because it came out when toyota ended there production of the supra in 98, it has more advanced capabilities... but even with all that said, aint no RB motor thats as bullet proof as the 2JZ and no tranny stronger than that of a 6spd Supra...

well well well... yeah horsepower wise u might be right but when it comes to laying that horsepower down to the ground and getting that edge over the competition whether on a staright or a circuit the skyline is clearly faster.... i ll show u a vid with an 800hp skyline against the 1000hp supra and clearly the skyline wins why???? because it had the ability to lay the power down that quick.... this video is just a good example of how hard it is to control such power coming out at the same time.

In drag racing a properly set up RWD car will dominate an AWD car everytime. Circuit I cant argue there you got me. I dont have a good example. But Drag racing the supra is setting all the records. The fastest 6speed, fastest import engine and fastest car in the standing mile. And Im not bashing the skyline at all. I've just been a supra fan since 1996

Big deal when turned into a "drag car" the supra is better.
When they are more street car based which is how they can should be compared the GTR shits all over Supra. Pretty sure the fastest GTR on street tyres and registered is still around a sec faster then the closest supra. We have them here in the mid 8's.

If you were from Trinidad and knew the cars you would know that the Supra at that time Supra was tested at just over 700hp ( Now 875 and running 10sec). So don't assume you know anything to make people feel you know what you are talking about when clearly you have never seen any of these cars in your life and you are whistling Dixie out of your ass!!!

A GTR Skyline (RB26DETT) is not faster than ANY TT Supra. Handling may be better in a skyline because they're lighter, and some are AWD, but that doesn't make them better. Just different with different classes. I've been in both of the cars, equally modified and the supra was much faster in a straight.

When it comes to street cars (which is what matters) GTR is always gonna be faster.
I totally agree 2j is the better engine but there is nothing that great about the supra itself. The supra you mention doing 6.40 is quite abit more modded then the 7.37 GTR.
In complete street trim we have GTR's here doing 8's. I think a low 10 is still the fastest supra using radials here. I realise you probs have faster ove there but still doubt they are doing low 8's.

lol AWD all wheels drive 4WD 4 wheel drive the skyline have 4 wheels so its the same things its not a tank dude and sowwy but the skyline is more heavy :) r34 (kg) 3672 and the supra 3620 (including a standar size driver) :F those 52 kg are huge when you build a drag car :F and most of those kg come from the AWD thanks you and now stop talking about what you are unsure please :F

Ok I finally admit that the 2JZ is a better engine than the RB26, but consider this toyota had to take their engine project
(the 2JZ) to an Independent German company so that they would engineer it.toyota did have to do with the construction but it was mostly the german company work. I think of the 2JZ as an ultimate blend of German engineering and Japanese Construction. The RB26 is only Japanese engineered and built. Toyota did a similar partnership with yamaha when constructing the 2ZZGE.

This is a good match japans top cars racing.even taugh you can see it wasent fair cause the skyline had a late jump and in the middle of the race the skyline was going sides to sides. They should seriosly have a rematch.
