Matt the oak knows, Garage is amazin. The mature sound woud've carried it in the right direction, Not that new age garafe isnt good but you would've found 'Real Garage' would be played a lot more and a lot more crassic tracks would've been produced.

@MattTheOak its because this is speed garage, the uk garage scene that came along afterwards was crap so ppl think all garage is shit, when really the early stuff is nothing like what people think of when they think of garage

@MattTheOak Garage music came about from the NY house music scene and is also origanally a US style of dance music much the same as house music is, DJs over here (UK) started palying it, but played it at a faster tempo, then producers atarted producing there own garage but at the faster tempo of which the DJs played out the US garage, hence the name speed garage, I am very aware of dance music genre history.

@MattTheOak I can understand people calling it underground though or underground garage i have also heard it been called 4x4 garage. Whats in a name lots of people still call that sub genre speed garage, because it separates it from 2 step, Narrows it down more to the 4 beats a bar style more than just saying the word garage. I just find it sad that when i say garage to mates they think so solid crew pffffft.
