  • is there any drone while cruising at normal highway speeds?

  • @padi621 Hmm... if by drone your're talking about the exhaust being audible I would say there is a little yes but I'm not bothered by it.

  • elliot: 'Nerds, nerds, nerds!"

  • Oh I didn't realize you had the cabrio. You might still have the popping then since it still is similar to the first gen car. An aftermarket exhaust would amplify the sound I'm sure. I had both my pulley and exhaust installed professionally.

  • hehe, it was my pleasure. You shouldn't have to worry, since in 2007 they remodeled the car and changed a lot of things internally, such as the move from a supercharger to a turbocharger. As far as I know the popping sound is muted if not gone altogether.

  • well, i still have a supercharger in an 07...mine is a

cabrio S. lucky they still had the old body style for that year. anyways, did u do ur own pulley work? how about ur catback?

  • why so much popping?

  • It is a "feature" of the 2005 MCS which my exhaust system amplifies even more. Google ( motoringfile MINI cooper exhaust popping ) and read the first website article from the motoringfile website that comes up.

  • thanks for the info, i'm about to order the same system but didn't care too much for the popping....hope my 2007 MCS doesn't do it as much.
