@TVWriterGuy yes this was recorded by myself..I always carry a portable recorder with me. This was played by myself and two wonderful musicians at the funeral Mass for a priest here in Dayton. Lovely music for him to go home to.
This is BEAUTIFUL! Thanks for sharing with us on youtube. I loved it so much decided to post it on my facebook wall. Thanks for sharing! Keep up the great work...and May God bless you!
For those of us that are Catholic, let's just share our faith with one another, praise God, and thank Him for all He has done for us in salvation history. Let the Protestants protest, it is what they were born to do.

I am convinced that Mary because of her special role is held in very high esteem by the Most High. I do not, however, believe that she was a virgin until death. It is clear to me that Jesus had siblings and that would be expected. Anyone who thinks that Joseph was married to Mary and did not have relations with her is misguided in my opinion.
ok so enough of a response from me on the debate - go out this Christmas and do something kind for a stranger. See the face of Christ in that person. Reflect on how amazing it is that Mary gave birth to Our Lord and God. Christmas is a miraculous time. Buy a cup of coffee or a sandwich for a non Christian man or woman who is homeless on the streets. They will understand the love of Jesus through your act of mercy

My friend, I do not deny that Mary was a virgin or that she was blessed but there is nothing in scripture to tell me that she is held in greater esteem than any saint. The traditions you speak of in 2 Thess are also in the word but remember that they did not have the complete word at that time. You do.
It is unfortunate but the Catholic "traditions" contradict that most holy word.
It is clear too from the word that you and I whom accept the FREE gift of salvation are as blessed as Mary.

Ask yourself this: Was Mary a Christian? Was she a complete Christian? Did she adore herself or God? Did the people around her adore her or God? She herself admits to needing a Saviour. So wasn´t she a sinner saved by grace like the rest of us? Don´t get me wrong. I love Mary. When I get to heaven I am going to give her a big hug. I do not say that joking. She is my favourite sister in the Lord. I do agree on this. Love your neighbour at Christmas and always. Blessings
Martin Luther - In this work whereby she was made the Mother of God, so many and such great good things were given her that no one can grasp them. ... Not only was Mary the mother of him who is born [in Bethlehem], but of him who, before the world, was eternally born of the Father, from a Mother in time and at the same time man and God. (Weimer's The Works of Luther, English translation by Pelikan, Concordia, St. Louis, v. 7, p. 572.)
@guarneriviolinaddict What is your final authority. Do u put the bible alone and its entirety or the societies interpretations of what the bible says.
@carmine200 Please read my channel comments- this is not a place for debate. If you are a biblical scholar, theologist, or of similar education and wish to debate then do so in private please and allow those who visit here to do so in peace
John Calvin - It cannot be denied that God in choosing and destining Mary to be the Mother of his Son, granted her the highest honor. ... Elizabeth called Mary Mother of the Lord, because the unity of the person in the two natures of Christ was such that she could have said that the mortal man engendered in the womb of Mary was at the same time the eternal God. (Calvini Opera, Corpus Reformatorum, Braunschweig-Berlin, 1863-1900, v. 45, p. 348, 35.)
Ulrich Zwingli - I esteem immensely the Mother of God, the ever chaste, immaculate Virgin Mary ...; Christ ... was born of a most undefiled Virgin. (Stakemeier, E. in De Mariologia et Oecumenismo, Balic, K., ed., Rome, 1962, p. 456.)
The more the honor and love for Christ grows among men, the more esteem and honor for Mary grows, for she brought forth for us so great, but so compassionate a Lord and Redeemer. (Zwingli Opera, Corpus Reformatorum, Berlin, 1905, v. 1, pp. 427-428.)
hmmm... I don´t think the real mother of Jesus would be too pleased with all this attention. She wouldn´t go against her own God by letting people pray to HER.
first of all, it is a bit presumptuous to think you know what Our Blessed Lady would think. Secondly, you know nothing of the theology behind the devotion to the Mother of God We pray for Our Lady's intercession as would ask any friend to pray for us as she is alive in glory before God's throne.
Actually it is not presumptuous of me at all. The bible is God´s word with a warning in the last book which curses anyone who adds to it. I know more about the devotion to "Mary" than you think. If you take the time to read God´s word, and forget everything else you will find that there is only ONE INTERCESSOR between God and man and that is Jesus himself. The only time Mary asked Jesus for help was at the wedding and at that time she said "do as He tells you". If you love her so much, OBEY.
I know more than you think about the worship of Mary.
Constantine found that with the Roman Empire being so vast, expansive, and diverse not everyone would agree to forsake their religious beliefs and instead embrace Christianity. So, Constantine allowed, and even promoted, the "Christianization" of pagan beliefs. Completely pagan and utterly unbiblical beliefs were given new "Christian" identities. Some clear examples of this are as follows:
The Cult of Isis, an Egyptian mother-goddess religion, was absorbed into Christianity by replacing Isis with Mary. Many of the titles that were used for Isis, such as "Queen of Heaven," "Mother of God," and "theotokos" (God-bearer) were attached to Mary. Mary was given an exalted role in the Christian faith, far beyond what the Bible ascribes to her, in order to attract Isis worshippers to a faith they would not otherwise embrace.
Many temples to Isis were, in fact, converted into temples dedicated to Mary. The first clear hints of Catholic Mariology occur in the writings of Origen, who lived in Alexandria, Egypt, which happened to be the focal point of Isis worship.
These are historical facts which the Catholic church do not deny.
Well I hate to see my videos be an object of debate, but I'd rather not become a censor either. So let me provide some intelligent commentary for both Roman Catholics and those with different beliefs
The fact that the early church worked to replace pagan and other cult rituals with those of Christianity is a fact in history and irrelevant. Caligula's obelisk sits in Vatican Square, not to identify with pagan solar beliefs, but to show victory over them. A true cross fragment rests at it's top
The concept that written words in what became the Bible are the only mechanisms of propogating the faith is a contradiction. In fact the Bible itself contains this passage in 2 Thess 2:15 " Therefore, brothers, stand firm and hold fast to the traditions that you were taught, either by an oral statement or by a letter of ours" Any references to the Virgin Mary do so as a reference to Christ, the source of all truth, sanctity, and devotion
Relative to the Virgin Mary herself. If we read from Lk 1:46-49 "My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord; my spirit rejoices in God my savior. For he has looked upon his handmaid's lowliness; behold, from now on will all ages call me blessed. The Mighty One has done great things for me, and holy is his name."
I may be wrong, but I do not know of any other woman that will be called blessed for all ages according to the Holy Bible.
Even the Protestant reformers gave special consideration
On this day O Beautiful Mother On this day we give Thee our love Near thee Madonna fondly we hover Trusting thy gentle care to prove. On this day we ask to share, Dearest Mother thy sweet care Aid us ere our feet astray Wander from thy guiding way On this day O Beautiful Mother On this day we give Thee our love Near thee Madonna fondly we hover Trusting thy gentle care to prove. Queen of angels deign to hear Lisping chilrens's humble pray'r
