@Brandonlcosta they started the same. bmx will win at first, then the road bike will win in the end where it counts. the one who really won is the dude on the mountain bike, he gets the hardest workout.
haha...if that lazy guy on the road bike would've start on the highest gear and off the saddle like the bmx guy... you know the end...suzuki hayabusa vs ford
I have a mountain bike and thought I was the the fastest thing on 2 wheels without an engine. Until, that is, I got a decent road bike and it is just so much faster. With proper gear shifting the mountain bike is quicker accelerating to about 15 miles an hour but beyond that the road bike will ease ahead without any problem. Single speed BMX can be given a good beating and hence why it gets away quickly, but without gears or thin tyres it didn't stand a chance.
I have a 43 pound schuwin Mountain Bike and it takes very little effort for me to get upto speed. i have gotten upto 25-30mph with ease, and have topped 30 with almost no trouble.
one speed vs one speed that was unfair comprison,if the the bmx had a 3 speed with a shift kit
in an eigth mile race it would have won!

Only one who tried was the kid on the bmx bike..

Smaller wheel means faster acceleration. Why? Because accelerating a mass with a smaller radius is easier.
Bigger wheel means slower acceleration but higher top seed and easier sustained speed.
That is if they are using the same gears.

Elambechapa 2 years ago
