I was just starting to like boys, lol, for a quick moment i close my eyes and be right back there, Only thing was I liked college men, now my grandson has a couple of years before he goes of to college....Like the younger people say, this song is the LICK !!! lol
I was 21 and having fun until I heard this song. I fell deeply in love with a lovely lady. Sadly twenty one isn't old enough to know which way is up. Thanks for posting this wonderful memory.
This song is as fresh as the day it came out. It's so clean and crisp. The lead is restrained like a woman that wants to scream but suppresses it; and the background harmonies are feminine and delightful. Love it!!!
datz right keep it oldschool 24/7.. we gotta keep bumpin these jams around da kids so they can grow up with these songs just like we did... i bump 50's 60's 70's sum early 80's and datz it...oldies, soul, doo wops thatz how i roll... no lady caca or lil wayne getz played in these home..
This is real romantic music, listen to the beautiful lyrics and the smooth and soft sounds of the band, and the girls in the background "blowing". Wow, makes me want to cry thinking of the beautiful times people had in the 60-late 70's.
Wow....this song took me back to a place i never thought i could go back to. Thanks for posting this, you really gave my heart and soul a lot of joy. This is the stuff those basement parties were made of back in the day.
In my estimation, music from this era' was filled with not just passion, but it dared to be brave enough to reveal the fragile emotional condition of the human soul. Much of the music today, like much of our modern love relationships, tends to hold back on revealing it's sensitive nature. What has happened to our culture today, where now it is a negative to show that you have an ability to be tender and emotional, even musically?
RIP, summer of'71..you can almost remember the smells,remember way the grils looked in those"HotPants"lol. Vaughly remember how her lips felt,and tasted...Remember ?? PEACE2U all. StonieDog(st.louis) ;-}
I LOVE OLDIES TO MUCH I SHOULD HAVE BEEN BORN WHEN MUSIC WAS REAL IM AN 80S BABY AND I LISTEN TO OLDIES MORE THEN ANYTHING NEW A YOUNG MAN WIT AN OLD SOUL.
@MrCADILLACMACC Ahhh a thing of beauty, an old soul that is... Music was real then...and there was so much of it... Just real good stuff...no fluff, just talent, real instruments, real singers.
@MultiplicityMe2 I KNOW THATS RIGHT I JUST LOVE THE REAL INSTRUMENT SOUND THE STRINGS, HORNS, BACC UP VOCALS, EVERYTHING EVERY NOTE IS HIT WITH PERFECTION AND WHEN ITS ALL PUT TOGETHER IN A GRAND WAY YOU GET THIS! REAL MUSIC!
Wow! I have so much good memberies with this song back in 1971 when i was in JR High School and use to go to the partys at the school on friday nights, having a nice girl in my arms, grinding 2, I love you for all seasons, Wow! thoughs was the days!
Every now and then I have to come on Youtube and listen to this beautiful song. It is hard to believe that I fell in love with this joint as a kid and now I'm fifty one and those sweet vocals and that awesome melody still give me chills bumps. I know many of you are feelin' me. This is a classic.
This song is soooo sweet. They sing with high vocals (is it tenor?) with the strings swirling around them. The drummer, guitarists and organist create a slightly gritty tempo. This song is very simple and effective. When they recorded this song, I wonder if the Fuzz sang with the drum, bass and organ first, and added the strings last to sweeten the song. I love the simplicity or this song. It definitely doesn't sound like Philly because Thom Bell would have added horns and other instruments.
Seriously!! I'd forgotten just how GORGEOUSLY beautiful this song is (OK, I was only 12 years old at the time . . .). Anyway, I'm PROUD to have lived during the '70s, when this lovely song first became a SUPER-hit!!
I think this song took my niece to be an entertainer I used to stand with a 'mike' and just sing this and she'd watch me. Then one night, she turned this song out at about three. She was so cute but she said that me and her mother, which was my sister, inspired her because we were such cute young women that she admired. Those are nice things to hear, instead of people leading children wrong.. :D
As a 12 yr old boy, I used to sing this song and always get the words wrong. I would sing "I don' know how to explain, those tears on your face". I thought she was singing about trying to fall in love with a guy, but was actually making him cry by accident. That does happen sometimes, maybe someone should write a song about that theme. I loved the passion in this song and the music too.
I had to come back LOL!~ these Girls Harmony was tighter than TIGHT!~ Love Unlimited copied Tried to emulate this!~ close but not quite!~ This is one of the tightest 3 Member Black girl groups Harmony wise EVER!~ EVER!~and the lead singer Killing it!~ Does anyone have better pictures of the Girls~ other than the silloutette ,just wondering~
FOR MY HUSBAND DAVID MICHAEL SALDANA AKA GARFIELD FROM YOUR WIFE GINA MARIE SALDANA MY LOVE FOR YOU NEVER CHANGES. THIS SONG IS BAD AZZZZ. I LOVE YOU DAVID....
When the Fuzz came up with this song, "I Love You For All Seasons", it seemed to be a total hit. The song played on the radio constantly and on record-players. The Fuzz made it happen for the that year.
Harmony at it's best!
