perfect "period looking" video with one exception....it's much better than those awful 80's videos....

By listening to this you can see that early techno/house music often just associated with originating in Detroit and Chicago derived partly from UK synth pop and Italo disco, yet many people never associate those styles with having influences from Europe.

Interesting to see all the interest in this record from Chicago!
I wonder was this track an influence on the House scene? I mean, this is 1981 so it's a few years before House started.
Be interesting to know, because I think European dance music was as much an influence on House as Hi-NRG and Disco were.

I used to dance to this in Chicago around 84'. My cousin had a dj set with two turn tables in his basement, and he would play two of these records at the same time. Then he would slightly change the speed of one record and it would cause a "phasing" sound like a jet was flying back and forth in the song. I miss those times.
