This is fake.. 2 reasons: One: I've been to the E3 and seen the model for myself. And the model that was shown on the GC in germany.. Both of the models show a slide on the top screen of the 3DS on the side. Not on the bottom. (for the 3D effect)

two: if you browse a bit (for example on wikipedia) you can see that this model is a fake. A good fake, but still a fake.. Too bad though... I think I like the model shown in this video even better then Nintendo's... "this" 3DS is slick!

Actually the final design was a aluminum casing. Imagine a mini Mac Book. But that mad it rely heavy and all kinds of problems. So They came up with a new design! They mad a ruff draft of it and showed it a E3. And the final design is what the REAL final design and will go on the shelfs of stores But this would be cool too

@Dubzoomember the problem not only what doopyx said but you have to sit in just the position, meaning for like a family to use this tv would be impossible becuase there is only one spot to see the 3D from, where as on the 3ds the user is sitting in that spot. i read a magazine about how it works and basicaly 3d enhances your eyes bye giving each one an attribute it cantusually see( that would be the 3d glasses) but on the 3ds they build it inside the screen they made it a special way.

800 million pixels per second to each eye = 1.6 billion pixels. Besides that, the GPU in the 3DS is capable of shaders and bump-mapping. The Wii isn't capable of either of those which is why the PS3 and 360 games look good, shaders and bump-mapping. Hideo Kojima stated himself that the 3DS can make character models and textures look exactly like the PS3 models in MGS4. I have yet to see the Wii do that.

That's not it! friggin troll on IGN, you can really see it if you watch the Nintendo E3 press conference. The specs he listed are correct though except There are no books. the real one looks very similar though.(The 3D slider is on the top screen)

The word gimmick is a gimmick it inself. It's just a overused word people have learned and somehow use for anything they are sceptical for. 3D has never been a gimmick, its just been very underperformed and not something that technology could do with good results yet. "DS is a gimmick, motion control is a gimmick" and im sure there is about a 100 other "gimmicks" on snes/n64/ps1. :P It remains to be seen if its a gimmick or not, me, i look forward to it.

Analog sticks were never a gimmick, Period. They've been around since the early years of gaming with Atari, then picked up with Dreamcast and N64, then Sony with Dualshock 1 and dual analog which on its own revolutionized the basics. Sony did it later for obvious business reasons, but they always had it planned.

@NewAgeRetroHippie96 Something that is really as small of a screen as it is, won't be like the 3D effect that's the same as what you experience like Avatar in movie theaters, so the immersiveness will be extremely off due to outside light sources. Dark areas are helpful greatly in this type of thing, just as bright and colorful clothing is for Kinect, Lol. How can anything pop in your face when it is as small as it is? Its effects will be hindered easily to be nothing special.
