The reason the shark bit him obvious if you didn't notice your an idiot he just speared a fish shark smelt it and rushed in to eat it and as he tried to get out of the way the shark saw something move rather quickly AkA his arm so it grabbed it, and the shark let go for 2 reasons one it didn't taste like fish at all and two the swim suit has a nasty taste to sharks so it just spat him out pretty much and he was lucky the shark was not in a rage from fish blood or his arm would be gone!.
