Why? It would be much more reliable. The electric motors can take the bumps because there is effectively one moving part! Inefficient combustion engines have so many moving parts you cant list them!

nah this thing is better, it has 999Nm per wheel... giving it around 3000 foot pounds of torque

I saw this car in Geneva, simply clever! but using a 1.6 gaz engine as generator is exagerate.
I don't know how many Nm has the mini qed from pml, but the technology is the same so I think also the torque must be similar.

I heard it will do 230km, not sure but I was told it can do 0-60mph in 9 secs. That is not to bad since most economical car do that as well.
