Moon rock story was busted long ago. Apollo 11 astronauts gave away Moon rocks sealed in Lucite spheres, the rock in question was not, it was petrified wood and not the rock that was awarded by the Apollo 11 crew. The real Moon rock is still in Dutch hands, I've seen it.

Firstly there ARE satelllite phpto's from JAXA, LRO. etc. that show the remnants of the missions, including their footpaths (discerned by the color change of the surrounding dust they kicked up). While curators at the Dutch Rijksmuseum Museum examined this rock, no one asked if there was any record of any rock being given to ANY other Dutch leader other than those kept in Lucite as part of a display kept at the Boerhaave Museum down the street. It was a classic case of stupid reporting. The thought that NASA would give a huge moon rock away, less than a year after finding it, w/o ANY documentation or packaging is ridiculous. NASA had nothing to do with that rock.

Only what you imagine.

"Is it possible?" is not a very convincing evidence. If Nixon did so poorly keeping Watergate secret, how did he do so well at hiding some hoax? "Could have been" is a worthless, cheap conjecture. A remote control spacecraft could NOT have been launched without detection during the cold war. Not a single record of such a US craft exists. If Apollo stayed in LEO, explain live TV transmissions of men in weightlessness in 1 seamless shot then showing a full earth bobbing outside the window.

@BjornPalmen I dont think you understand what i am saying,I know that there are pictures fom the moon that are vital to the scientific community,But there are pictures that are of no use whatsoever,The pictures of astronauts posing around their vehicles and flags are of no use to science.I did see a calculation about the amount of pictures taken on apollo in comparison to the time spent on the surface of the moon,It worked out that they would be taking a photo every second or two.

Photos taken in space are always valuable. It is impossible to say in advance what information they may contain.

Belief that the moon landings were a hoax is bad thinking, ridiculous suppositions and utterly wrong science. I won't subject you to all of that here; it would take hours to write. But, for example, why aren't stars in the Apollo pictures? The Sun is low off the horizon, since all the lunar landings were done at local morning. How do you set your camera exposure? A nifty demonstration of the shadow filling was done by Ian Goddard and can be found by googling.

Pt.4. We now know the whole story about the "fake moon rock." (Never mind the hundreds of samples which have been examined by geologists all over the world, not one of which has ever been called into question.) Drees' family found a label of some unnamed gift from Apollo and quite separate from that, a piece of petrified wood. THEY made the incorrect connection. See philwebb59's fine videos on this.

@rayscuba No manned mission has ever gone anywhere near the ocean depth that the Trieste went in 1960. Does that make it fake? We sent 9 missions to the moon. Six of them landed. There was no need to go back any more. They could not justify the expense and risk of future manned missions. There were MUCH more valuable things for NASA to spend their money on.
Why is it so difficult for hoax nuts to get this? I mean, you're all supposed to be so smart, right?
