What would be really nice is if someone got a video of the entire 14 apparatus. Its hard to do with the marine unit and batallion chief, but I'll settle for these two and the ladder
13 is located on annie st. its directly behind the police station thats across the street from busch gardens. its the second busiest station in tampa. sry for not knwing the exact adress
Hillsborough County Fire has neon green rigs. the city of tampa fire rescue has red and white rigs. pasco county has red, white, and yellow rigs. polk county has white and blue rigs.....and pinellas has 17 different departments for all their cities, and all of them are different colors.
ISO has zero to do with ems services. Whether you're ALS,BLS or nothing, doesn't matter. My department is a class 2 and does run ALS engines but they told us it didn't help us one bit when they last evaluated us a couple of years ago.
yeah alot of florida calls their ambulances rescues. even if they were rescues, alot of florida depts also assign the truck number by the station they are at so rescue 14 would be the rescue at station 14, and rescue 1 would be the rescue at station 1, there wouldnt have to be a rescue 2-13.
well now all fire departments requires all FF's to be EMTs too so they can help them out... over here our trucks goes with the squad everytime they go on a call
@quantumboy87 Not at all cultural. An engine, even a ladder, a heavy rescue... They could send out any type of truck for a medical. The truck is there to provide support for the patient. And if they get there first, (which is their goal), then they stabilize the patient until the medic arrives.
man, love it when they come out like just flashing the siren, then all the sudden its like all hell breaks loose and it sounds like 4 trucks coming.lol
there are several gays in my department. But, you wouldn't know it unless they told you. Don't let that be your reason not to be a firefighter. If you wanna do it, do it.
well thts true. I didnt know TFR was like tht towards gays. And they're no such thing as an amatuer interst towards firetrucks, when it comes to it everyone is a 8 year old boy.
im 20, so at this point id be a little old to do such a thing. becoming a firefighter would be an interesting route to take, but it has been my experience (and i tend to get the feel) that TFD or any other department isnt exactly embracing of homosexuals. i love firetrucks, for reasons unknown to me...and im afraid it will always be an amateur interest.
do you have any videos of the new rescues

yeah, i guess its just for more manpower..

in florida engines are generally first out on medical, even if there is a rescue unit (ALS ambo) nearby. just a cultural thing, i guess.
quantumboy87 4 years ago
@quantumboy87 Actually, the engine usually gets to the scene first to stabilize the patient & provide extra support.
