  • @greenz34

Dude need your assisstance. I have an mpc 2000xl, Digital mixer, record player, records, and speakers. Whats next, to get me on my way. Im trying to record/ produce without using a computer. Could you help Please.

  • @thatguytrynadosumn just start chopping up samples, then lay some drums first or vice versa. you need a pc to export your beats to. only the 4000 has a cd drive

  • @thatguytrynadosumn sounds like you just need to start making beats. you need a computer to track the beats too, besides that you don't need one.

  • good video ..

  • hey separated his drums on seperate tracks, do people put all their drums on one track? cus when i think of track muting i never see anyone hitting like 4 pads to mute the drums. idk tho im real new to mpc's

  • Go Make Rap Beats Online.

    Go to: MAKEINSTRUMENTALS.ℕET

  • quantization is so bad

  • Hi! What is a good usb audio interface (DAC) for mpc2000 classic and mac (or better without inteface?) ? (and a good mic?)

  • The beat in your intro is the TRUTH.. RESPECT if you did that.

  • Man it sound nice, dont listen to all this motharfuckas who dont know what is RESPECT, continue like this

  • dont worry about the method u use, at the end of the day the beat is pretty dope, keep doin ya thing, forget these other dudes

  • whats easiest way to import/export samples to and from the mpc2000xl? i read it cant connect via usb

  • @InspectaMorze

u can use a cd or a floppy disk with .WAV files on it, or a compact disk (with an optional called SCSI driver).it's the digital way...or u can use a mixer with a turntable or ANY other source connected on ur mixer.it's the analog way...

i hope it can help.xcuze my poor english.

  • i know how to save files but im having trouble what to do when i load the files like what is the next step so i can hear the stuff i saved?..

  • @1garrettbro

well...when u save your work, u must save it as a .APS(for the sounds and programs) AND as a .ALL (for the sequences and songs)...if u did it, then start ur mpc, and load them both. it should be assign to ur pads and ur sequences (just as when u leaved ur work) so u can play it instantly. i hope it helps...xcuze my poor english

  • how do you save sounds and things on the mpc and how when you go to shift three can you get those saved files and how do you get them to play and be out back on the pads?...gay question i know and i worded it like a 5 year old but this is serious lol

  • you do realize to go to the next track you dont need to stop the recording just jog wheel to the next track

  • Kanye sent me here.

  • I heard it was possible to install a device to enable use of a flash drive.

  • @JuggB ya bro its true that got a bunch of shit for the mpc 2000 an xl

  • mpc's are alot more then sequencers.. you will come to that once you relize how amazing that machine can actually be! good stuff homie keep at it..hardware user's are a dying breed!

  • how do you get samples and sounds?

  • @KCI9x1H If you dont know homie you need to buy one and figure it out,, it's the best way to learn/.

  • @crizsle haha ite dog thanks

  • hip hop in 3 steps. Love it

  • there's a lot of beat snobs leaving comments on here. If your shit is hot, i don't care if you used a sp, mpc, fruit loops, reason, asr, whatever. and i really could give a shit if you used vinyl, cd, tape or mp3. you vinyl snobs really kill me. nigga, i'll sample off a vhs if the shit is hot. using vinyl don't make you hip hop!

  • i think fl studio is batter of making beats...i like mpc is very cool but

i think fl studio is cheeper

  • @SIMONDUKEN exactly cheap. FL is Cheap. a cheap way to make beats. you said it. FL is fucking wack.

  • @CAallday209 it doesn't really matter that much, with dedication you can get a lot of sweet sound out of anything, and if you don't have any clue what you're doing, then your beats you make with your mpc aren't less wack that what you'd do in fruity

  • i luv that freda....she's so smooth

  • juss blaze can teach me

  • first step shouldent be the drums...

  • @KanyeisBest815 what should it be

  • @mrorendoff i always start of with sampling....i make a simple drum pattern to have a beat going to see what my sample patterns are going to be..i sequnce the intro verses and choruses and outro..delete the simple drums..find drums and make a couple difrent patters for about 30 minutes..than at the end measure all the volumes and use the mixer to fuck with the sound..for base I eather use a boobase or i filter out my samples and clown them and make it have a base sound,,mabey synths on top

  • @KanyeisBest815 good lookin out you know where i coulkd buy a cheap mpc

  • @mrorendoff yea i would say get a mpd but ther horrible..i tried the mpc5000 it felt so easy..thers like some 500 dollar ones on ebay...thats the cheapest MPC2000xl you could get...mpc 5000 are like $1000-$2000..the rest just search on amazon

  • @KanyeisBest815

How can u say the first step shouldnt be this or that? Personally I tend to start with melody alot but not always, u cant limit things to a particular order like certain things should be done before others.. its just about what feels right at the time.

Although no offense but the beat in this vid.. maybe the 'melody' should have been left out totally...

Thing is the horrible chops could have worked, if used less with space and open drums between. Space is something forgotten

  • Get a RS7000, its million times better, better filters, inbuilt quality effects and a samplingsequencer that kicks the mpc ass... Aaaand not to forget he onboard synths.

  • Thanks for taking time to share the info

  • UHHHH OK...BUY A DESK YOU DIRTY ASS

  • @saesoek417 your a fucking bitch

  • I love shakers so much they complete a beat

  • nice one man

  • i could see tis being really stressful

  • thberes no way to get the timing perfect so does it syncro your shit ?

  • can you do step recording? is there a step recording grid on the screen?

  • add more swing to it! it should sound better!

  • @ Apexbeats

DJ Premier also uses that sample for AfuRa's song called Voodoo Child (Dj premier remix)

  • ayo do u have 2 load ur drum kits from disks or do they come preloaded im lookin into a mpc1000 so im tryin 2 find everything i can about these dope ass machines holla back

  • RZA uses that sample at the start of the video on the 8 diagrams album, shame it wasnt as good as his earlier stuff...

  • lol kajmir sampled that song at the beginning and fucking murdered it.

  • i need some new drums to play with...anyone know any songs were i can sample some plain clean sharp drums in edison..tell me some names and ill share alot

  • COol samples - drums is booty tho.

  • i paid $ 300 for one today

  • good price . good luck with it!

  • @LilTight90000 nice deal

  • my mpc has no sound help me

  • not bad

  • drums....boo

    rythym....boo

    beat....boo

    but thx for the tutorial

  • I have fruity loops and fruity loops producer and I really havent used either one. I bought mine though and I should have invested in a MPC long ago cause I've always wanted one. Im gonna get one eventually cause to me i can just have more fun trying to bang a beat than using software. Ive got a cpl of keyboards and a drum machine as well. I use crazy excuses not doing what i wanna really do cause im married with kids and thats no excuse either . But im gettin it 2gether and make sum music.

  • I paid $200 for one. lol

  • Don't know who you are bro but, shit is Tight

  • i paid $900 for one.

  • Comment removed

  • Did you get it??

  • Comment removed

  • @Pieperson277

without the ugrades it wil cost you at least another $400 fx,8 outs,32mb,cardreader..etc..

  • more :):)

  • yo every mpc tutorial is maddddddd whack.

  • @dropzBiG cause nobody takes the time to actually learn the machine

  • nice breh

  • with out that time correction youd be assed out.

  • @loopwholetube lmaoo true

  • @loopwholetube switch that around... BECAUSE of the time correction, he chose to ass out. give him the benefit of the doubt, man.

  • best tutorials to get on dvd is supreme...producer of sonz of man & wu-tang. check out his youtube tutorials ''supreme7g''

  • i watched all of em twicee they're dope

  • thats right!

  • Thats a Freda Payne Sample. Been There. Done That like 5 years ago.

  • so how do u make it into a mp3 file or etc r u recording it with a music program like fl studio etc.

  • can't wait to get an mpc pad how much you got urs i seen wun in a store for like 300-ish, mpc pads r much easier to use den fruity loops n etc. but since im poor ima stick to fl studio until i get da mpc pad. dey're so easier to use den those complicated programs i jealous

  • try to lay down your hi hats down without time correction, it sounds way more natural

  • Nice one man

  • hahaha ghetto how u have ur mpc on a chair. i have that exact same chair an i used to play nintendo with a tv sitting on that chair as a lil kid.. crazy

  • Comment removed

  • go to program then find the samples you want to cut each other off and select PARAMS and turn the VOICE OVERLAP on MONO... get it?

  • yeah i shouldve removed that comment. i figured it out. it was something that i was just skipping over for a while.

  • bump this video. you're a good teacher.

  • can you show how to bring a sample on to an mpc and just other basic things like that bro?

  • The REPEAT BUTTON repeats your sample based on your "QUANTIZATION" setting, NOT your BPM (beats per minute) which dictates the "TEMPO" or speed of your overall sequence.

  • uhhh okay...thanks for the correction im still pretty much a noob

  • @greenz34 dont wanna be a dick but if your still a noob why do a step by step tutorial your only going to bring other people down its better to be good and master what your are doing and then teach it

  • @greenz34 Can I make a suggestion "Greenz34"? Its is Logikbomb (DC Producer). Turn your "Full Level" button OFF, if you do this, your HiHats and Shakers wont sound so STIFF.

  • @greenz34 how do you import samples in it

  • @greenz34 why would you make a tutorial if ur a noob?

  • @furiousjorgemusic beats per measure bro =\

  • hot shit ! i used the same sample to yo intro song and i came nowhere close to yours..real good beat..check out my new joint ''D-Ghetto - My Eyes Are Broken (Instrumental)''.

  • if your on a budget get the mpc1000 if you got your parents money? 2000XL but be

prepared for accessories that are seperate pain -in the-ass!

  • Thanks.

  • Hey I'm a newb to MPC's & beat-making. And I just was wondering what the best MPC for starters is? And any info/tips. Thanks.

  • ey man you should leave some of your drums unquantitized... it gives it a more relaxed feel.

    Stay up

  • Not everyone wants a "relaxed feel".

People need to mix and match their shit. Make some beats quantized and some unquantized.

Lot of cats been acting like quantizing is somthing bad just because Dilla made unquantized drums popular.

And for a lot of cats (not all), it was only after his death.

    :\

  • thanks for this. The beat was dope man. You helped me out in my beat making.

  • Thanks for this video bro.

  • can u save beats made on the mpc to zip disks

and then use them to transfer it to your computer

  • My Mom would be proud how Freda Payne was freaked on that break.

  • Comment removed

  • u need an adapter to use headphones and nahh there is no cd drive

  • Yo man UR beats go hard hit up my page PEEP the BEats

  • @911beats dude, you dont need CD's. just need a turntable and dig for some good vynil samples. thats how its done

  • yeaa u rite.. i jus c alotta ppl do it datz y.. i do it dat 1 2.. but where u get yo samples 4rm??

  • old soul records

  • great video!

  • how do you add samples, what file format do you need and how is it done?

  • well if u adding the samples through a floppy or whatever you using....u gonna need to use WAV. files....and u just load up the sample like you would any other sound

  • you're going to die.

  • i dont use an mpc but it was cool to see how you arrange. i like that you start with the hats cause the metronome be killin me. where you from yo! oh yeah, where do you get most of your samples? records or other sorces?
