  • I like the little "Bumper" at the start. ( 0:00 to 0:05 )

  • @Bus7777 me too

  • Best weather network song by far.

If they released a CD with all their themes I would buy it (It's one of the few audio things that I would actually buy and not just download off the internetnet!).

You guys want to make a petition?

  • sure is not like that here in the west were it gets really freaking cold.... like today for example Dec 13 2009 Temp in Medicine Hat Alberta: Its -27 today with wind chill of -39... lucky ontario.. its always warm in the winter there

  • Forget the HNIC theme or even O Canada, this is best known song in Canada.....

  • This was the best winter EVER (Winter 2006-2007) it was freakishly warm, snowless and very short... i LOVED it... ugh 2007-2008 winter was horrendous

  • lol @ the radar, I was in Sault Ste. Marie a few weeks ago (I had the exact same radar).

Of course, I live all the way in fucking Arizona, so it's pretty rare that I get to see TWN forecasts in person.

  • I hate now that they cut the beginning off. >:(

  • the acoustic beginning sounds different compared to today

  • Ahh I remeber that and fuck I hate global warming it just sucks you know.

  • I love this version of the song and the background they had i wish they could put it back

  • didn't the acoustic beggining came out at 2009?

  • I guess they have brought it back, but it was in the original version of this local forecast back in 2006.

  • This was the best version...Unfortunatly, Météo-Média haven't brought it back... :(

  • @Rlentle2s It came out in 2008

  • I LOVE this MUSIC!!!

  • When was the acoustic guitar portion (at the beginning) of the song removed? I know it was sometime in 2007, but I don't remember when.

  • I think it was around the first to second week of february 2007 that it was replaced with a 4 rhythmic guitar mix. Which version you like best this one or the one today? i like this one.

  • Me too I like more that first version of all...Now its fells like the beginning of the song is missing...

  • @Intelliguy I think it was actually April 2008.

  • When in 2006 did the music on the local forecast change?

  • I think it was in the last week of July 2006 that it changed to this. At that point, the music change button was encased in cement.

  • lol I know but they better change it eventualy

  • And that was also 11 degrees above normal.

  • wow for the first day of winter those tempatures sure dont seem winter like

  • Of course, December last year wasn't winter like. This year is much better.

  • Well that winter of 06-07 was indeed warm in the beginning. Down here in New York on January 6, 2007, the high temperature was 72 degrees Fahrenheit which is equal to 22 degrees Celcius,

  • the first part of this theme is missing today darn it its missing, oh well. the music sound from 0:05 to 0:11 its gone forever grr!

  • I actually have this song, almost the exact same, but it too has voiceovers :( give me a message if you want the mp3 ;)

  • When was the video recorded?

  • December 2006

  • @theSameRetroWindsor so at that time sponsored ones had the violin/acoustic and the non-sponsored ones have acoustic?

  • @theweathernetwork111 I think they dropped the acoustic ending when the intro and background were changed in 2008

  • Why do u torture me with these cold weather forcasts from the past. DAMN THE COLD! lol.

  • bring the this one back please!? ;(

  • sigh! same old tune, like omg when are they going to get a new one going, anyways it be sweet for them to bring back that kick ass tune from 98 i think it was it had a funkybeat to it,anyone know what tune im talking about?

  • Ya, I think I know the one. That was on the Weekend LF in 1998.

  • i like this verson of the local forcast better than the one we have now

  • I wish they made an album of all the local forecast music, it's awesome music. I especially like the 2005 song.

  • very nice

  • i like this music

  • i agree

  • Does anyone know who this song is by?

    i've been searching for months!

  • If anyone knows who created this one or the previous one, would love to know.

  • it was made by the TWN guys and is not avalibal to the public

  • So, that means that unlike TWC (The Weather Channel), TWN creates their own music? They must have their own composer in order to have that music played during their LF.

  • Not quite. TWN gets music from production libraries like DeWolfe or Network Music, etc... This song would have been created by one of those production companies. TWC did use Network music earlier in its run.

  • I've been searching the De Wolfe music libraries for hours, but I still can't find it. Since the song is about 2 minutes 17 seconds long, I try looking for songs that are 02:17. But I still can't find cot pick. :s

  • ArcticWoldLover: it may not be 2:17 in a music library. Perhaps it's a longer song for which TWN only uses a smaller portion.

  • ArcticWoldLover: it may not be 2:17 in a music library. Perhaps it's a longer song for which TWN only uses a smaller portion.

  • Hmm, you do have a point ;) It could be in any library, from DeWolfe to...to...to...Westar?

  • Either its created by TWN or it comes from a production/stock music library

  • God that's so interesting (seeing what a Canadian variation of a weather channel is like verses ours). Did like noticing how the CGI overlays don't always frame well with the video backgrounds due to the automation but it's rather fascinating seeing how it's done here.

  • do you have the 2005 one with the old music i have been looking everywhere for it and i only found half of it so if you could put the full one up i would be very gratefull

  • Well, I'm not Canadian, so I can't help you there since you replied to my comment first.

  • o sorry that was for the user who put this video up not for you

  • I've been looking for some of the Local Forecast music from 2004 to present, haven't found anything but recordings from TV
