@LaMaraca61 you can, i'm a hairdresser and we are told that you can never cut at and angle.... the whole idea is to create a straight line you can cun into the hair as this person is doing but only when a style has been achieved..

Aha, yeah that part where it said never cut straight across? i did that my hair looked like crap on one side thankfully it was my bangs so I just cut it so it mixed in with my other layers so its good now but I'm never doing that again unless it completely necessary!
