  • Well, it really helped, eventually I understood how chain rule works in implicit differentiation!

  • Good as a summary...bad as an intro...an intro should explain a bit more on the use of the d/dx simbol and explain why is it kept at the first step.

  • If g(x) = y and f(x) = x^3 then f[g(x)]=y^3.  In order to differentiate y^3 or f[g(x)], you use the chain rule.

  • I dont understand why you used chain rule in step one. It's not (2x^7)^23
