Part 1 is about the beginning of the end of the world.

Part 2 is about us sending astronauts to other planets so that they can populate the human race there, hence the words "Spread our codes to the skies, you must rescue us all"

Part 3 is about us realizing that it's hopeless and that we are all going to die and we're asking God for forgiveness and a second chance
