I had the pleasure of seeing them last night in Sydney, Australia. We have waited a long time but they were truly wonderful. Clearly decent folk singing about important things in life. i feel a better person for having seen them - and that's all you can hope for in life. man, i love this song! it captures california just as i remember it. i got to see the decemberists about a year ago in atlanta with the atlanta symphony orchestra. 'twas a very cool show.

I have seen the Decemberists twice. Once in Toronto in 2005 and once in LA in 2006.

Oh, lucky you! Most of the tours around here were cancelled this past year due to illness of one of the band members. I hope to see them next time around. I have more of the concert to post eventually, it was fantastic!
