  • It's actually "Jai Guru Deva Om". It's Sanskrit and it kinda defines Indian spirituality and religious thoughts.

  • @sebanti1963 Maybe it can mean anything you want it to mean.

  • i love this song... it is imperishable u know? nothing is going 2 change my world

  • Does anyone else realize how different the Beatles were then any other band on earth? The truth is hidden in their songs.

  • What does Jau guru deva om mean????

  • @CassandraRosengard do you hear the oooohmmming through the whole thing...it's the presence of the universe. He tries to make it like the universe . Jau guru deva om means

I give thanks (victory) (salutation) to Guru Dev (or heavenly teacher), om".

He's giving thanks to (Lord.) Although he was said to be athiest...but i guess not, eh?

  • @pinknoses101 ahh thanks for the clarification. Its one of my favorites so far and it makes more sense now. You should visit the "Truth Contest" website and read "The Present", it is a free book about universal truth. There is a whole chapter devoted to The Beatles and the truth that is in their music.

  • @pinknoses101 isnt he giving thanks to his guru or teacher, which would be a real teacher. John struggled with depression and mood swings... In my opinion John seems to be connecting himself to the universe which stabilizes him. It seems to me this song is a result of Johns meditation. he could still easily be athiest. pretty cool. THis song is oddly relatable

  • @askice77 Sometimes people over analyze things, but I do agree with you....

But I was looking for the translation and it said...Heavenly Teacher.

I don't know; the translation could be wrong...and he did have a hard life...:|

  • @CassandraRosengard thanks guru deva!

  • I started crying so much I couldnt even sing
