  • hi lots, this sounds like picnic style i tried bit b4 but i look better now in face w/ body than then strictness so priorities are best precise by optimal propulsion some say proper yet in shift. slight am pm activity 's nudged by food's rhythm of naturally tender or ized not just eyed has major hormonal momentum for other needs, but assisting in obscure tick tock w/ polite snack of not just knack is as getting grain from stalk in travel on no harvest but spirit of law's to be by our parameters

  • hi's not done, goal here's solid unforced rather incorporate for it past pendulum filling only mind to nullifyin. as raw food's passion explanin skipped stove observin animals w/o controversy @some use blender not by inspiration. so out of conditions modification claims keepin something. my mini wild ferments stimulating ingredients another level is noticeable vs hg stripping to dh who yet perfects bedtime more but plus consistent stress gut. synthesizin each is not ours but strive by harmony

  • Eating at night is deff not bad. Read the warrior diet and you will learn alot of very good info. Info that is correct. has been helping me alot.

  • @nutral84 I am the same way in regards to eating less in the day and most in the evening. But still I think maybe theres something to going to bed on a completely empty stomach.. who knows everyones an expert

  • I disagree, if you consume a certain number of calories a day... it doesn't matter when you eat. It is all processed the same.

  • Did not eat past 6 for 2 years and found I lost weight gradually, steadily, my skin cond. improved, I felt more awake in the mornings, and...my boobs got bigger. Went off this regimen and it contributed to my worst episode of eczema ever, my weight yo-yoed even when eating raw/vegan, I felt sluggish, and...my boobs got smaller.

  • I agree. I used to stop eating at 5pm but I'm not that strict anymore. That was also when I was eating the s.a.d. diet. I'm a high raw vegan and I try to not eat too late. I can feel such a difference when I eat late and not so raw later at night and then in the morning I feel gross. It's amazing what raw food can do for your mind and body

  • I don't sleep well on an empty stomach at all. I totally disagree with this guy. I adhere to the warrior diet ideology.

  • I know I should NEVER eat at night. When I do, I get terrible, fearfully, paralyzing nightmares! So scary that I'll wake up shivering, sweating, heart racing. If that's not a sign, I don't know what is.

  • I´ve actually had the opposite experience.I have been following a mostly raw Warrior diet the last months and I feel great.I´m stronger and more energetic, my workouts are great, and it´s really timesaving not having to worry about eating every few hours.

    But hey, whatever works for you...

  • I read recently in yoga journal in that ayurveda says the same thing, and says to eat your largest meal between 12-1:00 because the digestive fires burn strongest then. And it also said to eat several different times throughout the day to keep those digestive fires burning. Love this Paul Nison guy.

  • Continued from last comment...I am now used to an empty stomach and not feeling the need to stuff it. When my body needs nutrition again for energy it will let me know in the form of my new hunger feeling. The old feeling was simply, Hey my stomach is empty please fill it. That's a wrong feeling. Once you get use to an empty stomach going to bed on it actually feels good and now your boady is 100% free to detox and repair at night the way it was designed. Not to digest at night.

  • One thing that hinders our ability to not eat at night is the fact that we seem to have to feel food in our stomachs to feel good. We should only eat after our stomachs are empty and we have completed digesting the meal. That means we must get used to not eating as soon as the stomach is empty. Thats when the last stage digestion starts. It's just a conditioned habit that myself and most peaple are into that we must keep food in our bellies all the time.

  • I don't eat after 8pm, that's my cut off time, but usually I stop eating long before that time, maybe 6 p.m on most days.

  • yeah that's how I feel too, i've seen info to suggest this is good, I feel the problem is more to do with eating too close to bedtime.

  • Wow he should be on commercials! lol. I really hate sleeping with a full stomach (it's uncomfortable, and I wake up groggy with a puffy face and swollen hands), so I don't eat at night :P

  • Figs are a really high alkaline food! I think why a lot of people eat at night is because when we get tired our body craves food to get more energy and then we eat and can't get to sleep.

  • Well, I eat at night if I've been unable to eat for a while. It's impossible for me to sleep if I'm hungry.

    But I try to eat easily digestible foods if I'm eating late.

  • Hmm, how does this work here in Alaska when its daylight most of summer and dark most of winter?? I mean 3 hrs of dark in summer and 3 hrs of light in winter??? Cant see how it relates in hemisphere extremes (the light relationship anyway).

  • wow... trying to rear a child partially cooked probably means the parents will have to cook, right? That was the toughest part for me trying raw b/c my husband LOves his hot meals & i either felt really bad I was feeding him "junk" and things i wouldn't eat.. or feel terribly left out :(

  • You don't have to feed the kid "junk" just because it's cooked food. There are plenty of healthy cooked foods.

    I see where you are coming from though, I cook for my girlfriend and make raw dishes for myself.

  • i agree. And my husband really appreciates that i still cook for him cause he identifies social eating with personal care (how attached we've become to cooked!) But at this point our budget is really tight so we're Only buying a couple raw staples while finishing off the rest of what's canned/frozen. Does your girlfriend have a hard time accepting that you won't eat the same foods w/ her at the table?

  • If you can't eat your food at night, then juice it and drink it ;-) And that wouldn't be considered cheating, because that digests within 15-20 min.

  • I'm unable to sleep if my stomach is empty. I consume massive amounts of oatmeal and milk before I go to bed.

  • People eat at night time just like any time ... if you are hungry or need some comfort in your life ... then eat. But in moderation of course, I tend not to eat before bed myself however.

  • I used to eat before bed just because thats how my parents raised me. That was snack time.

  • very informative. I hear so many mixed messages about eating at night. One moment it's the worst thing, the next it's all a myth.

    I'm going to try to stop around 7 and see how it works for me.

  • I'm going to try it b/c I'm going from veg to vegan in an effort to control my weight for life. So far I'm gaining.... so maybe this is something that's really plaguing me. If I eat once a day I save that meal for 9-10p and probably snack again @ 2a before bed.
