How to trade or battle Pokemon while using an emulator

I still can't get the continue option on the second GB. I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

for some reason, im trying to do red and yellow, but yellow on the GB2 will have its save state but red on GB1 is telling me to start a new game... all im trying to do is get the pokemon that cant be caught on yellow and get them from red.... and blue once i get this figured out

youe vidio has actually helped me alot. the vba doesnt connect pokemon games but the tgb did it easily, but i still cant connect gba pokemon games. im stuck with pokemon gold and silver for a while ._. ;J

@ChraMoXGaming To view and change extensions, go into folder options in the control panel. Go into the view tab and uncheck the "hide extensions for know file types" box.

Here's how to trade using games that were originally used on the VBA:

1. Copy the ROM files of the games you are trading between into the media folder of TBG Dual.

2. (Make sure you have actually saved the game, not used a save state) Copy your .sa1 files into the save folder of TBG Dual.

3. Change the file types of your .sa1 files into a .sav file and a .sa1 file. (Actually change it, not just the name.)

4. Continue as the video says.

5. When done, change the file types back to the originals.

6. Move the files back into your folder with your VBA ROMs and replace the old .sa1 files.

7. Open up VBA -> File -> Open -> (insert ROM here).

8. There will be an error message. If, at the end of it, it says continuing then you are good. Allow it to continue, and load your game like a normal gameboy game.

Hey, i have been playing pokemon blue on a VBA emulator and have both .sav files and .sa1 and .sa2 saves from using VBA. when i open TGB and run the pokemon blue rom it doesnt come up with any saved data. how do i run pokemon blue on TGB with my saves from VBA?
