Just to clear up some things, if you have only played ff7 dont ask how ot use limits or anything. most handheld versions dont have limits or trances, etc. Also it probably runs on ATB[active time bar] such as most newer versions.

ff9 is the best.

IT is 3D. The DS just isn't as advanced as the PSP in terms of hardware. Yet because of it's restraints it is an actually well polished looking game.

This is an old video. You aren't quite as close to the enemy as it looks, but they tried to keep the screen resolution low so that they could fit more monsters on the screen. Remember ff3? You could only fit 3 monsters on at a time. This one has a lot more.

Also, yes the bottom screen is where the hp/mp/atb etc are located. There is very little stylus action in this.

ps. I've played and beaten this so it's reliable info :P

What are you talking about? I just said that the statistics are located on the bottom. The tp[ screen is where the actual battle takes place and the top screen is where you input battle commands.

haha its true but its because he's a magical being who is a genius serving as the guidance character and also is the machanic for most the flying ships. Cid has shown up as many different races of Final Fantasy characters too so yeah.

Second screen is making use of the menu and status windows.

From what I've heard, they aren't making much use of the stylus, instead, they are putting more focus on utilizing the second screen.

If that's the case, that kind of downplays the significance of that part of the storyline - at least as it existed in the original (throwing away the darkness, facing and defeating his former darkness, etc.). Or perhaps this is just a demo with random characters thrown in. Time will tell, I guess.

I'm going to agree with you. i think all Final fantasy games from 1 - 9 should be remade on the Wii and PS3, simply because the series started out on Nintendo and because it continued it's life on the Playstation. The games need to be remade for the younger generation who constantly hear about how great say FF7 was but never had the opportunity to play, this stuff is like a myth to some people, actually make the games again Square Enix, it's the right thing to do.
