Seems to have some promise.

I've been doing my research on this game for a few days.

To compare it to skyrim in its entirety, is silly.

This game does remind me of the fable series though, I will not deny that fact.

Simply put, I think this game has potential. I dunno about "game of the year" (the year Juss started people)

But.....it looks worth the buy. In my opinion anyways...

This game is actually an Elder Scrolls meets Forgotten Realms. Story and world is written by RA Salvatore, gameplay is a lot of Elder Scrolls with some FM in there. And if you have Salvatore, you can't go wrong. (Hint: He created the Drizzt character)

hurray for equipment that just appears in your hands at an instant! -> sarcasm intended. The worst possible combat style to date... and people just dont learn to make it proper. Just like weapons that magically float on your back, or heck- don't ever show on your character at all. This is my only problem with this... beside that it looks fantastic. But so did Alice Madness Returns which ended up really crap to play.

@clojap While I wouldn't mind another installment for the Kingdoms of Amalur series on the next-gen consoles, I would rather they work more towards Project Copernicus, the MMO they have planned set in the world of Amalur.

One of the lead devs is Ken Rolston who was the lead dev on both Morrowind and Oblivion, and the art and animation is being headed by renowned comic artist/award winning animator Todd McFarlane.

Add to that their combat is a hell of a lot more exciting than Skyrim. They have nothing to fear. The fact is the game is not finished and they are taking their time.
