Corrupta.

  • If you're against gay marriage than don't marry a gay person, simple as that.

  • Greetings from the Philippines, I applaud Mrs. Kirchner so much for this great achievement towards human dignity and fairness! It's time. Hope my country, and the U.S. would follow such steps. 6 states in the U.S. already legalized ssm. Viva Kirchner 2011!

  • May American gay/lesbian trans bi folk are voting with their feet, and leaving this oppressive society, or wanting to leave it. The machismo, violence, war culture, heterosexist and homophobic attitudes are just over the top. Oh yes, its a lot worse in a lot of places, but actually increasingly there are better places for us to live. What's sad is our govt. is more conservative than the people. The elites just want to use fear of healthy sexuality as a means to control the population...

  • It is wonderful to hear a political leader speaking like this. No bullshit, no sucking up to the religous types. She is telling it like it is, and the fact that it is a woman saying this makes it even more powerful. Religion has been done nothing but terrorise and subjugate women and minorities. We make logical allies in the fight against it.

  • I think the world of her because she doesn't back down or just given in to the critics she follows in a great line of world leaders like Mrs. Thatcher, Indira Gandhi, Benazir Bhutto, Hillary Clinton and of course Eva Peron not only is President Kirchner beautiful but she is smart she has the whole package and is looked at as a TRUE LEADER here in the US and abroad for sure!!!!!!

  • @SexyLiLLeilaniMya Please do not put my president in the same line as Tatcher. It is against Cristina´s ideology. As you may know, We Argentinean continue to dispute the Sovereignty over the Malvina Islands(falkand), and that Tatcher has had not a small part in the diplomatic issues between Argentina and Great Britain. I say this in a good way, and as an informational comment :)

  • Cristina 2011

  • She´s a really bad person. She and her husband has stolen millions and millions and they are making ignorant people. i live in argentina.. well .. i´m argentinian. When i see cristina kirchner i feel a terrible shame. i´m Sorry about my english.

  • @33219987 When I see our president, I feel proud of being Argentinian.

    saludos, Che!

  • She, the best president. But many people don t see it. I am proud of her

  • @atenarose Thank you very much for your assistance. Much much appreciated

  • @atenarose I am so impressed by the energetic society of Argentina. It´s so differenet in a sense from the other Lat Am countries. I got an interest in the trends and torrents of the happenings of Argentina and other Latin countries. Por eso, I am learning Spanish for first hand info of the current affairs. The President got the boldness and guts to take the challenge, to face the challenge at least. Grateful if you know the first hand docu sites, thanks so much for your transcription.

  • @mirarpilar hi! i'm sorry i don't understand what you mean with "first hand docu sites"

if you explain me, may be i can help you :)

  • @atenarose Thank you. I find some interviews, speeches of the President, scattering in the internet or youtube. I wish to reach some interviews of her, giving her personal views of some critical issues, and some speeches...with the original spanish text. I find some translated pieces only.

  • @mirarpilar casarosada.gov.ar enter to "Discursos"

  • The best speech I've heard so far from a head of state on this issue. Shines a bright light on stupidity. I like Obama, but I have to admit he has been a little spineless on this one (especially since I think he agrees.) Argentina should be proud. Hopefully, other leaders will follow suit and finally close the book on the Dark Ages so the world can focus on real problems.

  • Do not be so easily fooled by politicians people. This is the only good thing she has EVER done in her entire administration. For someone seeing her for the first time in this she might sound awesome, but the truth is, she is very corrupt and doesn't deserve half of the praise you are giving her.

Btw, this was the same project that she STOPPED herself in 2009 back when it wasn't convenient for her agenda.

  • @EvilRyuGuy Untrue. She's done a lot. I suggest you to visit the blog Logrosdelgobierno at Blogspot.

  • @oickif I must admit, the current government has done many good things, but they screwed up a lot too. I mean, legalizing gay marriage but threatening freedom of speech at the same time?

  • @Fucklesticks Threatening freedom of speech? Please elaborate.

  • @oickif it's about an issue that's been going on since last year here in argentina. there are some major laws about media ownage being discussed, passed, then revoked, being passed again, and so on. google it, since it's way too long to explain here. on my part, i don't think it's threatening freedom of speech, but the complete opposite. but that's just my opinion. sorry for any spelling or grammar mistakes, i am not an english native speaker. anyway, thumbs up for my president!

  • @TheBuenosAiresShow ¡Soy argentino! And yes, I agree: It's the complete opposite.

  • @Fucklesticks seeks the following in youtoo ( "Lo que tenés que saber sobre la ley de radiodifusión"), the map of media of ARGENTINA

  • @Fucklesticks

Christina Kirchners goverment doesnt necesarally threaten freedom of speech.its more about giving the goverment that right, and limiting huge private institutions like Clarin that own newspapers,tv channels, magazines that already do so.Same shit, diferent name.

  • i'm very proud of my President!!

  • I never thought she was so amazing!

  • Great speech by president Cristina Fernandez. Proud of having her as president.

  • VIVA ARGENTINA!!

Leaders of the world should listen to this stand from Argentina President!

  • CFK 2011!

  • Well done to La Presidentia for taking such a strong and positive line on what is a positive subject: the affirmation of people's right to live together and be recognized by the law on the land of which they are the citizens: THEIR land. And more kudos to her for pointing out the ugly tenor of the language used by the Vatican and its offshoots: the language of war, of death and or oppression, not to mention the language of centuries-old barbaric superstition. Devils and demons: infantile trash.

  • She is amazing!

  • Where are you people from? I mean, in which country are the videos from Blabbeando known?

  • She is so brave.

  • Just imagine president Obama telling those tea partiers they want to bring the USA back to the time of the inquisition.

  • she is very intelligent, gay people needs the same rights as everybody else. hope one day in the USA gay people can get marry love dont hate

  • this woman and her communist country are DARK SIDED and yall can expect these perversions against GOD to be LEGALIZED and PROMOTED in B.HUSSEIN OBAMA'S AMERICA. Its time TRUE CHRISTIAN AMERICANS stand up against the islamoarxism that threatens all our FREEDOMS!

    RON PAUL 2012

  • @MAdk1p Chill out, take your meds and go to bed.

  • @MAdk1p You know that islamomarxism is a contradiction in terms right? Calm down, maybe the red fog will clear from your mind.

  • @MAdk1p argentina communist???? hahahahahahahahaha

  • she's coolio <3

  • At last a political leader with intelligence and willpower.

  • Thank you Madame President.

Show your support for Argentina's stand by visiting......its a great country!!!

  • Very refreshing words. Good luck with the vote, Argentina.

  • What an intelligent and amazing woman! Love her! <3

  • god loves argentina

  • Proud of my country today!!!

  • @estagaruto Proud of your country too! Congratulations, Argentina!

  • Sensible, level-headed statement that I wish I could hear from Washington.

  • What an incredible head of state - she is so eloquent and actually knows the history of her country very well. I couldn't be more impressed with her comments here. Brava Senora Kirchner!!

  • @StewNWT THANKS!! cristina's government has been the best since Perón (1946 - 1955)

and this is said by two public workers daughter, who attends to a public university..

  • It's great to see people in power reduce the credibility of the church in matters regarding hate and '-isms' (sexism, recism..etc) go argentina :D!

  • President de Kirchner, like Paul Martin of Canada, has now earned my respect for simply speaking her mind in defence of human rights and a more civilized world. That's all it takes. From the little I know of the Kirchners, it seems that their policies (like those of Mr. Martin) have generally been poorly thought out and destructive; but I think that the basic common sense and human decency demonstrated here will do a lot to help future generations look favourably upon Ms. de Kirchner.

  • She makes that one they call Jesus smile, for she has fights for his will! She exudes blunt reason and bravery that Washington cannot even facade. She leaps to equality while America saws its legs off. A wonderful day for Argentina; may the world take note.

  • Felicidades, Cristina! Thank you for making a cultured statement on equality.

  • The problem is I KNOW Obama personally may want gay marriage to be legal but he like most Democrats not from progressive cities is afraid of making it an issue because they think that the Republicans will use it to win like they did in 2004. The rest of the modern world is moving towards marriage equality while US watches. As always, US is the last to do these things. US was among the last to make slavery illegal, among the last to make segregation and discrimination illegal etc.

  • "Or at least that's what they've always said in their statements" -

wow, when is the US going to get a leader like this?

  • @viciousna I'M SO FUCKING PROUD OF MY PRESIDENT!!!!!!!!! I LOVE CRISTINAAAAAAAAA

  • I wish all of the world could take example, not just the United States. I wounder what it would be like if gays had this right. Maybe they woudnt have to stay in the closet anymore!

  • She rocks! I wish we had someone like her down here in Italy.

  • Cristina Férnandez de Kirchner should be commended for taking a stand. I believe it's the strongest statement in favor of marriage equality by a Latin American president ever and people are right to say that even Obama has yet to stand up and say similar words. Having said that, though, Kirchner stayed absolutely mum on the subject until 3 days before the debate as the church increased the attacks.

  • @Blabbeando She got in there when it was most crucial and most politically dangerous for her.

  • @Blabbeando :: I live in Argentina, and you might be missing some facts. President Cristina Fernández did a LOT of political maneuvers to get this law passed. She was heavily criticized by the mainstream media by "inviting" 4 Senators to go with her in the official trip to China. Those senators were opposing the bill. Then, she timed the trip to China, to have the Vicepresident taking her seat. As you know, the Vicepresident was going to vote agains if there was a tie.

  • @pittgraduate Yes, she was... "heavily criticized by the mainstream media" i want to put in italics these words "mainstream media".... Clarin and La Nación (mainstream media) are to Argentina what Fox is to US.

  • @pittgraduate She's doing what she has to do. With the almighty Clarín against her, with a bullshit opposition eager to seize power *no matter what*, this is the only way. And you know what? She's managing amazingly well and within the confines of the law -- most of the time, at least.

    This battle is necessary.

  • @Blabbeando @Blabbeando

Hi! I'm Argentinian. Let me show you a video in which Kirchner Néstor (her husband) said he was in favour of equally marriage.

    1.35 starts the dialogue

-would you accept that a gay couple adopt a children?

N.Kirchner: why wouldn't be able a gay couple to adopt? what do a heterosexual couple have, that a gay couple not? nothing!

AND HE SAID THAT IN 2003!!

  • 678 - Matrimonio igualitario ¿quiénes están de cada lado? (1ra parte) 08-07-10

THIS IS THE NAME OF THE VIDEO, i don't know why i can't post the link :S

  • If only Obama had half her cojones!

  • Talking about woman with balls!

  • Fantastico! ella es mi campeón. Fergalito

  • President Kirchner has more political courage in one of her finger nails than all the politicians in Washington combined. Few of them have the capacity to run a superpower, let alone make moral choices about individual rights. I envy the citizens of Argentina for having such a modern and intelligent government.

  • @iraz82

Im argentinean, and while I was very happy and proud that this became a law,one small law doesnt make us truly advanced. There is ALOT that still needs work.

  • @iraz82 Thanks.. I'm argentinian and i totally support my government, which has been lately "attacked" (i don't know the correct word in this case) by the mass media corporations..

i'm so happy reading this kind of opinions, coming from foreign people

    best wishes

    from an argentinian

  • @iraz82 - Oh believe me you don't wanna be here in Argentina :\ ...

I'm Argentine, and I have to say, that this is the only thing that I'm agree with this woman.

She try to close all the Private Media (Papers, Radios, &c)... That's not democracy :\ ...

She is everything I hate as president.

You really gotta be here, to see what she does. :\

I envy America as a country, 'cuz everytime you guys fall, you know how to stand up.

We Argentines are stuck in a 1940 policy n' you envolve every year. :\

  • @aaaronaguirre Blind idiot detected! If you don't like Argentina, feel free to leave this country. You are so idiot, you can't talk about your country like that. I hope you could not reproduce to avoid IDIOCRACY. Cheers!

  • @aaaronaguirre It's a lie what you say. First "she " did not try to close any private media. If you refer to the media law, I tell you it was a comprehensive law passed by MPs and senators. And it looks you do not know the law, because it does not say it must close the private media. And in addition to newspapers madeno mention, is audiovisual media. Clarin has more than 70% of media in the country. Does that seem right? The law seeks to diversify media voices to be heard all.

  • @aaaronaguirre oh my fucking god you must be retarded don't to know that the U.S is living from loans of china and their name ? they are in the crap, how can you say that they evolve ? also the U.S is one of the most racist countries in the american continent unequal in terms of human rights and they're government supported military regimes in our countries and through the I.M,F putting pressures to our nations so they can control us that's the us for you, no offence for the common citizens.

  • @aaaronaguirre Attacking his own country whilst fawning over foreign powers: typical middle-class right-wing Latin American.

  • @aaaronaguirre Te respondo en ingles también para que lo puedan entender los otros: You Us fan N°1! They know how to stand up? Do you know they are in recession? they have the greatest external debt in the world!! The fact that they have a façade of success doesn't mean that they have overcome the crisis! On more national matters, name one, only one privet media corporation that has been closes or even censored by this administration. You can't, know why? cause what you say was a lie

  • could you put subtitles pleasee??
