@CarsonsClub Sorry that you did not find it on any Carson anniversary show. Probably then it was on a regular Tonight Show show where they were replaying some clips from past shows to illustrate nervous guests. I know I saw it on a tv broadcast in the 1980's or 1990's before there was an Internet or before access was widespread. Also it would be after 1983 since my interest in Tanya developed primarily after her appearance in Beastmaster in 1984. I do know it was her. Wish I could help more!
I checked all Anniversary shows, I'm not sure which guest you saw, Tanya Roberts wasn't there. Maybe you saw the upload I mentioned on youtube in 2007. You should check if you downloaded it by accident and stored it somewhere forgotten. I described in the video how the 2 parts were named. I sadly never found it on any compilation or best of set, cause it is probably not considered as a legendary glorious moment. It's neither on the Carsons Comedy Classics aired in the 1983 season.
I would love to have this interview too. I did not see it when it originally aired but I am rather certain I saw clip from it shown on one of the later Carson anniversary shows illustrating a guest who appeared to have nothing to say (obviously she was VERY nervous!).
So I'm glad for any tip where you might have seen this
