(just checked this up) the M1 Garand was the only semi automatic rifle in service (other than the m1941 - which looks nothing like an M1 at all, mind you) with the United states military during World War II. It was manufactured by Winchester during the war, and was chambered for the springfield .30-06 round. It was designed by John Garand, who WAS working at springfield armory, but the springfield he's thinking of is probably the M1903, which is a bolt action rifle. Kid needs to LRN2WIKI.

USMC Rifleman use the M1 Garand

USMC Infantry use the M1928A1 Thompsons

USMC Scouts use the Springfield M1903A4

KJM Rifleman use the Type 5 rifle, a copy of the M1 Garand

KJM Scout use the German Kar98k. It's not an Arisaka because Dice (developer of the game) hadn´t enough time to create the weapon, they already had the Kar98, so they had to go with it... this is it
