  • Aww, it burns!!

Nice level ;) and the difficulty is good.

  • thumbs up for skill

  • Very awsome

  • I like this level/music but... the lava doesn't seem, well, like lava. Not because of orientation but because of color. it just looks like mud because the ground is the same general color

  • @KirbyY15 It's an SNES remix of the board Bowsers Magma Mountain from Mario Party 1 :)

  • can anyone tell me the name of the music?

  • not into the chicks! it birds!!!!

  • I would like to ask a question. In a level with custom music in,my emulator just freezes when the level is finshed!I mean Mario goes through the checkpoint, but no music is played, and it just freezes! Can someone help me?

  • I like the music and the colors

  • how did you put in bowser's magma mountain or any custom song into the game?

  • @LonewolfCrystal look around for AddMusic tutorials (like that)

  • Ah man I bet that rom hack rox

  • awesome level!!!

  • Virtual boy is more red, and yes, it burns :D

Nice, too bad it doesn't exist anymore (i guess)

  • Comment removed

  • go to the blue star on lunar magic and you can edit the colors there

  • He Edited Either Palette Or The Graphics Itself.

  • looks really good but not so easy ^^

  • The colour loooks rather fashionable.

    Red is definitely my favourite.

  • Very nice level.

  • how do i add custom music to my hack? PLZ TELL MEEEEEEEEE

  • The music sounds familiar... Isn't it a remix of something? If it is, what? It's driving me crazy not being able to pin it down. XD

  • Its "Bowser's Magma Mountain" from Mario Party 1

-which originally is a remix of Bowser's Castle from Super Mario RPG

  • "This level reminds me of the Nintendo Virtual Boy... huh."

    Because it's red, duh.

  • White-skinned Mario is stomping on dark-skinned Koopas.

    Underlying racism much Mario? :P

  • AH DON'T THEENK DAT DERE LEVAL ES GONNA GEEVE YAH SEZURES UNLAKE DA VURTUAL BOI! I talk in dededeehz, you can understand it.

  • you got that name from ganon who said it buuuuuuuuuurns!

  • love the cd-i Ganon reference XD sweet level man

  • this will also sound like a dumb question but how do you make the level taller and wider? because im pretty sure thats not the default hight of the level

  • This is the default height and width for horizontal levels. I do not know if it is possible to change them.

  • interesting, my levels are set to default. want to send me the link to a *.smw

  • This may sound like a dumb question even for the fact that Im good at Lunar Magic. How do you flip the lava around. Thanks it will help me alot. Anyways I love this level. 5/5

  • You can use the 16x16 map tile editor to create a new tile. Just paste the regular lava into it and flip it.

  • oh wow

  • SMW only support 8 sound channel, but it's not like if they just used 8 channel. The super famicom only has eight sound channels

  • Awesome!

Best custom SMW level I've ever seen!

Some of the best music, too!

How did you make the music sound like it was 16-bit?

  • The music is in-game

    (He wrote it himself)

  • nicee level and nice run

  • 1:11 the insanity begins there! nice level!

  • you know what burns the most my eyes....

  • nice!

  • What's the music?

  • how about reading the info before commenting next time?

  • hey dude whats the music and how did he give it that effect reply back in comment on this page

  • "Bowser's Magma Mountain" in the original Mario Party

(it says so under 'more info')

  • not sure ill try to find out

p.s if find out post another comment

  • killer stage

  • it's hell

that's where mario goes each time he dies in the game

  • 0.o i love the level desighn i love your levels now i really hope you finish an overworld

  • As for your music, I think it behaved normally. It seemed like the music that was in the game, with certain parts cutting out during sound effects.

  • Hey IncoherentGuy, when you're finished with your ROMHack, can I try it out? I've got nothing else to do.

  • that red liquid is lava or strawberrie jam? xD

  • lolwut

  • Oh man! That level looks pretty hard. It would be a good place for an 8th world.

  • When the Koopas are walking on lava, it reminds me when (AzureBlaze, I think?) Did an LP of a level and had to jump off of Yoshi to avoid a lava slope, and this line came up: "I despise your shoes."

  • Azureblade49, but it's actually ProtonJonSA.

  • So it was PJSA!

  • Lava on the ceiling...Mario is defying gravity once again.

  • Oh,How useful a fire-flower can be in a fire world T_T

  • Nice level though!!!!

...I would laugh till my eyes pop outta my head and drip blood over the ground to know if this level would be in a fan-made GBA version of Super Mario World if anyone would care to make one that doesn't involve a dinosaur carrying a baby around....

  • awesome work

  • Not into the pit, IT BUUUUURNS!!

  • Finally someone who knows how to put a custom level together and not make it difficult and dumb.

  • I agree.

Finally somebody who found a balance between those noob levels, where you can find 6 power-ups per level segment, and the mindscrewing insanities kaizo mario (also known as a**hole mario) and the mother of all insanities a**hole mario 2(!).

  • Hey, the enemies aren't acting right. They don't sink into the lava, like the game. I guess it doesn't matter, though. Great level.

  • He turned sprite buoyancy off. (I think)

  • Oh, thanks for explaining that to me....

  • sprite buoyancy couldn't have been off in this level. if so, the podoboos would have caused the game to freeze.

  • It's the lava slopes. they just act weird...

  • winner winner chicken dinner

    CASE SOLVED

  • That was some serious skill my friend.

  • That was some serious skill my friend.

  • hehe virtual boy style

  • This looks more like a cave of blood.

  • y is There ALL LAVA'D?

  • Well, the level's called "it burns". self explanitory, moron.

  • I like you charbroiled koopas XD

It was kind of weird when they walked on lava, though. Maybe you could say they adapted to the environment...

I'd make the foreground more orangey if I were you. But your level design is inspiring, as usual. (You must've had a lot of fun with the skull raft part.)

  • Change the colors a bit and it'd be perfect.

  • Hmm... The level design was awesome, as usual, but the eye candy not so much. Do something to the palette; the background colors need tuning, and you need to add more orange to the foreground. There are some graphical inconsistancies with the terrain layout; fix them.

I love the lava on the ceiling. That part looked delightfully brutal.

Four stars. Keep up the good, though not QUITE perfect, work. :)

  • Hey, actual constructive criticism. Awesome.

I agree about the palette - there's red and black and... nothing else.

I never see the graphical errors I make until it's too late, so I've tried to keep a closer eye on them since this level.

  • The background music sounds like it's based on the Bowser's Magma Mountain Board from Mario Party.

  • Isn't that what the description says? Lol.

Anyways, how did you get custom music on a SMW hack?

  • Search for a program called "addmusic". It's a bit complicated to use - it uses DOS and .txt or .mml files to insert music into the ROM.

  • Sweet! The palettes make it look like hell, lol

  • What lovely music and graphic!

  • Yes, another great level. These videos are one of the top best. People should be definitely viewing your videos.

  • this rock how u customize the music

  • Use Addmusic

  • Very nice. I suggest though that you make the lava and background a little brighter so all the colors don't look the same.

  • Nice level AGAIN.
