  • You have a VERY deep voice. LOL

  • @awesomelightning ~~~>Well, Juju..I am quite a few years on you((how I wish I weren't- though))....but tell me this...how did you LIKE the 3/5/08-video? Good? Fair? Medocre? I've notice you like to keep your comments short nowadays...maybe you have very limited time on your computer......also, Juju....I have yet to see your own newlymade Tstorm-videos from last January and February.....but if you ***rather*** not upload them...I can understand...your ongoing time constraints..

  • @LuvsTstormTapes I quite liked the videos, but, I like LIGHTNING storms. In terms of wind... XDDD makes me want to have a hurricane. The vidoes? I am waiting for spring break. I have around a hundered and fifty videoso still to upload, and I am working on a project for now, a Tesla COil. So once I do that, those vids will be with them and I will send them to you seperately. My computers been slow so... yeah. :P short comments because i am doing a lot of things on the comp thse days.

  • Very cool storm you had there, James. Nice and windy :)

  • nice video. Question? did it snow 10 days later?!?!?!?!?!

  • TYSVM, my new YouTube buddy.....I'm glad you liked what I got..I don't recall any major snow right after this Tstorm..as 2007-08 had little snow all winter after the 12/13/07-huge snowstorm.... BTW.,...recently, my place had over 6 hours of thunder...on WEDS 7/1/09......hope to add some to YouTube soon.....

  • The reason I ask , there is an old saying and it appears to be highly true for us in North Carolina, that if you have any type of thunderstorm activaty, it will snow 10 days later... just wondering tho.. again great vid..

  • rockland was under a watch in the early morning hours on 3/5/08

  • Oh James I think this one has hail--very mysterious. I'm fighting the urge to get under the covers just to feel cozy--Too Much!

  • Great thunderstorm there James. Nice work. I love your commentary during your videos.

  • Where did you get your CG-bolt detection beeper from?

  • My older sister gave it to me as a nice Xmas gift 12/25/07... not sure exactly as to where she ordered it from, though...but I promise once I find that out, I'll gladly inform you via YouTube message. Alas..my beeper's not working that well anymore...sadly to say. BTW..last few days..FRI 5/23((Drew Carey's very 50th birthday)) and SAT 5/24..incredible tornadoes out in OK, KS... as 2008's been a very banner year for the avid-tornado-chasers. Hope you like my video thoh.

  • Oh yeah..love all your vids...check out my hailstorm vid and my first lightning capture vid..i think i did pretty good xD

  • Do you have any photo or video with this beeper? It inspired me, I would like make it too :-)

  • TYSVM for subscribing to my videos, ''SkyWarnCZ''... well...as for the 'lightning beeper'' I last used it on my 6/23/08-Tstorm, IIRC. Alas...since late-June 2008, it has refused to work properly..so...I, instead, use any AM-radio ''sferics'' to detect lightning. BTW..the 'lightning beeper' only detects CG-bolts rather than IC-lightning...which the ''sferics'' is quite audible on my Tstorms of 5/29/05, 4/15/06, 7/23/08, JTNAF. Again, TYSVM for the comments to you and everyone. ((2/26/09))

  • I think it isn't problem that it can't detect IC strikes. Their detection is much more difficult than CG detection. In professional lightning detection networks CG detection efficiency is about 90-95% and IC just 25-30%. ICs have weaker spheric and if you want detect more ICs you will detect even large number of interferrence unfortunately:-((

  • TTYTT, my new Tstorm bud...since I used my ''lightning detector beeper'' on 6/24/08...it has malfunctioned...so..I now turn to any AM-radio to listen to the ''sferics'' that way...and how the AM-radio sferics really work...you can even HEAR it on my 4/15/06-Tstorm video..... TYSVM for viewing this one anyways....for a 3/5...it was a real good one...! My last Tstorm here was on 8/10/09....good distant thunder from nice lightning.

  • As long as you're inside a sturdy building and not on the phone((except cordless, modems, and cellular)) or inside a car/bus/truck/train/plane --you're pretty safe from CGs. Best wishes on your videotaping any expected good Tstorm you were expecting. I always videotape mine from a partially opened window... enough to keep the wind-driven rains out while allowing the nice thunder rumbles/peals/claps to seep in so my camcorder and CTRs can capture the sights and sounds.

  • this is kool.

there is a bad server T-strom heading my way tonight. I love storms except the lighting. Why beacuse lighting can kill you. but i luv storms.

  • i love blizzards, ice, snow, freezing temperatures

but severe t-storms are unique and fun to be in too. the rushing wind feels good when it blows though your hair and face and the rain puts me in a peaceful sleep with the blue lighting

  • Wooow, that beeper is awesome, i want that too :D ... how did you make it ?

  • Wow, what a storm. I love to speed it up and watch the dark clouds moving in this one. I'll bet those sirens were chasing some lightning of their own. It's amazing to hear them predicting sunny weather on the TV. This video had great dramatic elements, for sure. Wow!

  • Great video my friend. You've gotten some storms while here in Chicago we continue to freeze. I hope I see some storms soon!!!!

  • Great vid James. It's amazing that you've gotten some storms already yet here in Chicago we're still in the deep freeze and snow . I WANT STORMS HERE DAMNIT!!! I"M TIRED OF THIS WINTER WONDERLAND CRAP!! AAAARRRGGGG!!!!

  • TYSVM, also George,((plus your own video response..which I'll check soon)) ''Momotous'' Mikey, Billy, Tony..for awesome comments on this coolsomed video.. TYSVVM for your watching this early-season severe Tstorm video from 3/5/08 at 630am. WHAT real topsy-turvy weather today, 3/8/08 120 pn EST.. my place here in southern RI: Rain and mild... yet lotsa snow and cold where some of yous are right now...

  • James, its almost 10 minutes long

  • Another GREAT video James, and great commentary as always! That was a lot of wind, too. We're in the midst of a massive blizzard here in Columbus today... :)

  • Geat video James. That squall line line came through my area of western Long Island around 4:30 in the morning. I was sleeping and didn't have my weather alert radio set. I woke up when I heard the strong winds gusts but by that time the squall was almost over. I had no thunder here at all. Winds gusts were recorded up to 61 MPH at Kennedy Airport just a few miles to my west. I really like that lightning beeper. I going to have to get me one of those.

  • More classic video from you. Expecting some severe action here tonight and from 9am to 12pm tomorrow morning. I have my video loaded up. Gonna be my first storms of the year really. HOpe i get something.

    SCM

  • We get winds like that here without the storm.

  • Wow, that was a heck of a storm blowing thru. There was some interesting cloud motion and the wind was screaming!

  • Great video, James. Thanks for posting this! Newport we had 66 mph at around 6:54 AM. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to video it myself. Great video James, I appreciate all the videos of Thunderstorms you Post. I say 2008 is going to be a stellar year for us Thunderstorm fans!

  • Just a quick question, Oral...did you remember any of the Tstorms from past March-es in my **unreplied-Email**? I did include THIS 3/5/08-Tstorm when I've listed the past Tstorms we had here in southern RI here in March since 3/1/87. BTW..prepare for some real UGLY snow/sleet/ICE wintry mix come 3/1/09, ugh!!! I especially DREAD freezing rain! I prefer ''tornadoes'' over 'freezingrain!!!'
