HE died for me that I shall have eternal life believing HIS glorious name ,on the third day HE rose again from the dead according to the Scriptures,Hallelujah, Maranatha
With all my heart soul and thoughts I LOVE GOD of Abraham Isaac and Jacob GOD of Israel who send HIS one and only SON the spotless LAMB of GOD to save me a wretched man as I was, and now I am forgiven reconciled to God ,made righteous and I will never perish I have eternal live because JESUS my Savior my Lord and my GOD whom I believed , trust and obey ,done this everything for me dying for my sins
Jesus took my pain and lonliness away. He stopped me from commiting suicide when I was an atheist, as well as He whispered in my ear "I love you" a dead prophet cant do that. plus I talk with Jesus everyday. do you talk to Allah and get a answer back? didnt think so. Jesus answers me each time. He told me im meant to be a youth pastor and He also showed me which college im so supposed to go to. Jesus is GOD Almighty, Yahweh.
jesus decalerd himself god when he said he was 1 with the father fom above and not from this world. he is called god by thomas (this is not the expression ohh my god the greek gramamr doesnt support that) why doesjesus say the father is greater than him because he was god but took on the form of a human servant being obedient to the point of death on the cross (philipians 2:7) afterhis resurection he ascended to the father
You said :"he was god but took on the form of a human servant being obedient to the point of death on the cross (philipians 2:7) after his resurection he ascended to the father" How can he ascend to the father, if they are one ? Only possible if there were 2 gods.
@MrBorris41 dont argue with a man who those not know muhammed was married to a woman who was daughter to a catholic priest and received his visions in a cave just like all the other pagan deities killed the christians off the land and now you have a catholic church and muslim mosque standing side y side and the dont know the catholics gave rise to their religion when its right infront of their face, why you think they kill the christians but not the catholics does not take a scholar to figure it
Maybe there's animals their too! Did you know that a lot of shepards in the bible stories porked sheep? Yep, there's warnings about that in the bible too-who do you think those warning were pointing to-yep the shepards!
You are confused about what Christian believe. No Orthodox Christian believes that Jesus is all of God. That has long been regarded as heresy. No one has seen God and lived. He exists on a different plane of existence than us. He is unknowable. Jesus is only the Word of God. God has something of the same relationship to Jesus as anyone who has made a video of themselves. For example we all have had an experience of Letterman. But most of us have never met Letterman only his image.
God incarnated his image or his Word into Christ Just as Letterman digitalized his image or
Words into a video. Jesus is not all of God is in only of God. Jesus accepted worship of Thomas and others which would have been blasphemy if he was not God's incarnate image. Also, both God and Jesus are identified as the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last in the Last chapter of Revelation.
I've blocked 3 spammers on my page that felt they should put 400 posts on a single video Replying to them selves very rudely and it was all cut and paste from the answers in Genesis web site. Anyone else Got blocked because they Blocked me.
"I also noticed your propensity for lying."
When? Show me an example. I think you're just trying to paint me as a bad person This is an obvious ad hominem attack..
Yes I hope you will smarten up one day TheCountrySquire.
I just re-read my post, and I meant to say that either there's NO difference.... But actually, the way I originally wrote it works. Because there IS a difference, and the RCC DOES contradict itself.
If that were so, the RCC would specify. #100 says "Interpreting the Word of God....." Look at #s 134 and 135:
134 ALL SACRED SCRIPTURES IS BUT ONE BOOK, and this one book is Christ, "because all divine Scripture speaks of Christ, and all divine Scripture is fulfilled in Christ" (Hugh of St. Victor, De arca Noe 2,8:PL 176,642: cf. ibid. 2,9:PL 176,642-643).
135 "The Sacred Scriptures contain the Word of God and, because they are inspired,THEY ARE TRULY THE WORD OF GOD" (DV 24).
Admittedly this is something difficult to understand to a non-Catholic.
- The concept of Communion of the Saints means that every Saint is in a special union with the Holy Trinity, and this is completely true with the Virgin Mary.
- It is known that Jesus is particularly favorable to his mother's wishes (the wedding in Canaa for a biblical example), so her "protection" is known to be something very real.
(1) Phil 2:9-11 - 9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
(2) Mark 9:40 - 41 For whosoever shall give you a cup of water to drink in my name, because ye BELONG TO CHRIST, verily I say unto you, he shall not lose his reward.
(title) Mary, Mother of God #1 O Mary, MOther of God AS YOU ARE ABOVE ALL CREATURES IN HEAVEN AND EARTH(1) More glorious than the Cheribum More noble than any here below, CHRIST HAS GIVEN YOU TO HIS PEOPLE(2), Firm bulwark and protectress, to shiled AND SAVE SINNERS WHO FLY UNTO YOU(3). Therefore, O Lady, All embracing refuge(4) we solemnly recal YOUR SWEET PROTECTION(5), And beg Christ for His mercy. My response in the next post.
(Mathew 16:16-17 made reference to Jesus being God not to Mary)
Please note that God was not created: the Creed of the apostles claims Jesus was conceived, not created. There is no contradiction saying she is above all creatures.
The most popular Marian prayer is undoubtedly the greeting from the Angel in the Annunciation. Never before in the Scriptures had an angel hailed a human being.
Concerning protection: Satan hates and fears the Virgin Mary as he knows she has a clear roll in his defeat.
Thisis where I and the Catholics part company (thank God). There is nothing Biblical that supports the Cathoilic doctrine regarding Mary. Again, She is not listed anywhere in the Bibleas having the station the Catholic church places on her. Mary has no role in defeating satan, other than that of providing the vessel to deliver into this world God in the flesh. If Mary had a role, then Jesus' work was not sufficient. How does the wedding at Cana show Jesus' "favor to his mother's wishes"?
The main role in the bible, and particularly in the New Testament is indeed Jesus, and He is too great to spend those few pages on the Virgin Mary. The Virgin Mary is indeed an instrument but you seem to imply that recognizing her merits somehow diminishes Jesus: it doesn't. On the contrary ... praise for his mother is also praise to his son and to the God that made her for that purpose.
The completeness of the sacrifice of Christ is another subject that protestants don't understand well.
She is not THAT important: we will be judged by Jesus and only Jesus, and Jesus is the Savior not Mary.
See.. protestants only believe what Catholics wrote on the Bible.
But then the Bible says
John 21: 25
Jesus did many other things as well. If every one of them were written down, I suppose that even the whole world would not have room for the books that would be written.
That's well and good. But the importance the Catholic church places on Mary's role leads me to think that God would've allowed that to be in the Bible. And no, I'm pretty much the opposite of what you said. I believe almost NOTHING the Catholics wrote on the Bible, because God's word and Catholic doctrine don't line up. And I believe the Bible is the final authority, whereas Catholics believe the CHURCH is the final authority, more exactly, the Pope.
You didn't understand:Which was first the Church, or the Bible?
Catholics WROTE the Bible: No other Church was in existance during the first 4 centuries. Luther did cut it in the 1400's, but it is basically the same Bible Catholics use.
Furthermore the doctrine that the Bible is the *only* reference to doctrine is unbiblical, in fact the Bible says (1 Ti. 3:15) that "the Church of the Living God is the pillar and foundation of the truth."
As you see, people can interpret the Bible in many ways.
If Catholics wrote the Bible, then it's an even stronger indictment of their doctrine, because Catholic doctrine is opposed to God's word. I never said the Bible is the only source. However, I do believe that it is the final authority. So, if something doesn't line up with God's Word, I take the side of God's word.
Anyway, this will be my last post to you on this. I'm the same as you, I stopped trying to convert people. It's up to each person to search the Scriptures (something ELSE the Catholic church doesn't want you doing) and decide for themselves. We all face God alone in the end :)
That's funny: this "Something ELSE the Catholic Church doesn't want me to do" is my obligation: I am a reader of the Holy Scriptures in my Parish. I even received a special blessing to do it during Mass.
"The task of interpreting the Word of God authentically has been entrusted solely to the Magisterium of the Church, that is, to the Pope and to the bishops in communion with him." pg 30, #100
I have never attended a mass where I was told to turn to Scripture. There were the 1st & 2nd readings, but the rest was ritual. The only thing we were ever encouraged to read out of were the missals. Your leaders don't want you studying the Bible for yourself.
The Church "forcefully and specifically exhorts all the Christian faithful... to learn the surpassing knowledge of Jesus Christ, by frequent reading of the divine Scriptures. Ignorance of the Scriptures is ignorance of Christ."
The Liturgy of the Word is ordered in such a way that the complete Bible is read in three years, and Catholic Bibles (with an Apostille) are common.
Interpreting the bible (claiming the date the world will end, the AntiChrist, etc.) IS prohibited.
Either there's a differnece between learning and interpreting the Scriptures, or the RCC is contradictory. The truth is, your church may want you to learn the Bible, but when you have questions, THEY are the ones to answer them. That's convenient, so if you should question something about Catholicism that is in opposition to the Bible, they are well trained to "interpret" it for you.
There is quite a difference between learning and interpreting.
The Catholic Church has authority: it is the only Church that claims to be founded by Jesus himself.
The biggest issue In my protestant "experience" was the lack of coherence in the interpretations of the Bible, among the many denominations. If the Bible is supposed to be the only truth, then why protestants never agree on so many issues? The Holy Spirit is NOT going to teach two different "truths", so someone has the wrong spirit.
Yes, there is a difference. And your church wants you to follow THEIR interpretation of the Scriptures. But as I showed in all the Scriptures I posted, NOWHERE in the Bible does it say we can't interpret God's Word. I can't say without researching whether or not Catholics disagree with each other, but if they don't, it's because they are not permitted to think for themselves regarding Scripture.
Luke 10:16 (New International Version) 16"He who listens to you listens to me; he who rejects you rejects me; but he who rejects me rejects him who sent me."
pegifu: Actually I did find evidence of Catholics disagreeing with each other.
"One of the most bizarre loose ends was the "cadaver synod" after the election of 896 of the insanely vengeful Pope Stephen VI. He harbored so much anger at a predecessor, Pope Formosus, that he had his corpse exhumed. Formosus' decomposing body was dressed in papal vestments, propped in a throne and put on triall for crimes against church law, including perjury. Unable to mount a defense, .......
That's not a disagreement in doctrine. If some Pope somehow said Jesus is not God, or that the Virgin Mary is not virgin or deny anything in the Cathecism, then that would be a disagreement in doctrine (I know Pastors that have looked for that and gave up).
God can do good through bad ppl.
Popes are known to be sinners, they confess with other priests. Like the Apostles, they can go to Hell or have to stay a while in the Purgatory but the Church shall prevail over the doors of Hell, as promised.
I said it before, but this time I'm REALLY gonna have to make this my last post. You are blinded to all the doctrines of your church that are in obvious opposition to the Word of God, but your chuch has you in such bondage, that it will only be by God's grace that you break away from it. Purgatory, the rosary, the brown scapular, praying to dead people, penance, confessing to a priest, ritualistic prayer, transubstantiation, icons (idols), the Pope.....all used to keep you in bondage. God bless.
"Formosus' ghastly remains were convicted. As punishment, the 3 fingers Formosus once used to bless the faithful were hacked from his right hand. His body was dragged away and thrown into the Tiber River."
*From Papal Pomp, Power & Corruption 1000-1400 ce*
That seems a bit disagreeable! And it brings up a whole other subject about Popes being Christ's Vicar (substitute), anti-popes and whatnot. But I don't even want to get started on that lol
Check the Scriptures regarding interpreting the Bible. Acts 17:11 Mark 12:24 2 Pet 1:20 2 Tim 2:15 John 5:39 John 14:26 John 16:13 1 Cor 2:12,13 Psa 119:11 Prov 7:2-3 1 John 2:26-27 Psa 119:97-99
At Cana, when He said "Woman, what have I to do with thee, mine hour is not yet come", He was making it clear that, now that His ministry had begun, she had to take her place among other followers. Her job was done. Mary was the mother of JESUS, not God.
Are you sure we are reading the same text? Jesus says his mission hasn't started yet, so the lack of wine is not Jesus or Mary's problem. Mary attitude is also clear.. she just tells the people "do what he says".
It is also a Catholic teaching that the Son is cosubstantial with the Father. Jesus is God: not half man half God, but complete man and complete God.
I'm aware of that, too. But I want you to tell me how you arrive at the belief that Jesus had special favor toward Mary, other than that of a son to his mother (and as I said, once He began, or was about to begin His Ministry, He referred to her only as woman. He was being clear that her job was done).
46 While he yet talked to the people, behold, his mother and his brethren stood without, desiring to speak with him.
47 Then one said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren stand without, desiring to speak with thee. 48 But he answered and said unto him that told him, Who is my mother? and who are my brethren? 49 And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren!
Why didn't He say "Whoa, she's here? Briing her to me immediately! OR better, let ME go out to HER!"? Odd way to treat the mother of God. Wouldn't that have been an ideal point to make her status known so there wouldn't be ANY doubts?
Another Catholic favorite is to say that Mary was born without sin. There's nothing other than Catholic tradition to back this up. In fact, Mary herself disproves this in Mark 1:46, 47:
46 And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord, 47 And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour.
If she was born without sin, she wouldn't need a savior. And in order for her to be born without sin, HER mother would have to be, then HER mother as well.
More than a favorite, it's a dogma. (I couldn't find Mark 1:46 .. that looks like the Magnificat which is unrelated to Mary's inmaculate conception).
Orthodox and some protestants share the same beliefs concerning Mary and the Holy Eucharist: what makes a Catholic authentically Catholic is obedience and acceptance of the teachings of the Pope.
The second paragraph is your interpretation, I have my own explanation but it's not Catholic doctrine.
If God was able to allow Mary to be born sinless from a sinful woman, He certainly could've done that with Jesus. Your church ascribes the same attributes to Mary as the Bible does to Jesus, by stating she can forgive sins, save sinners, was born without sin, ascended to Heaven, has a throne in Heaven, is our help, heals the soul, etc. That places her equal to Jesus. With the rosary, you say 1 "Our Father", 1 "Glory be to the Father" and TEN hail Marys. Mary is prayed to 10 times more than God.
Good point; nothing is impossible to God. However in the old testament you see that the Arc of the Covenant is to be inmaculate and only the High Priest can touch it. Mary is the Arc of the New Covenant for at least 9 months. She is Full of Grace so certainly she shares many characteristics with Jesus.
Mary can't forgive sins, she does guide people to Jesus and she does exactly that in all the accepted apparitions.
no, thanks. I don't know if you're assuming I know little about the Catholic faith, but as I said, I grew up a Catholic. It wasn't until God opened my eyes to the truth that I left that church. Mary saved from sin is not found in the Bible, It's a teaching of the RC church. Read Rom 3:10,12, 22 and 23. And in my next post, I will quote out of the RCC regarding what your church teaches about Mary and salvation.
The Rosary was originally meant for people that didn't know how to read the Psalms (only clergy was good at reading). In addition to the traditional prayers based on the Bible, there are meditations which are actually the important part.
Every time we pray the "Hail Mary" we thank God for using Mary and we pray to Jesus (and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus).
Why would we mention Mary at all? Because she is the best example of someone that knows loves, and remained with Jesus always.
"...Taken up to heaven she did not lay aside this saving office but by her manifold intercession CONTINUES TO BRING US THE GIFTS OF ETERNAL SALVATION. . . . Therefore the Blessed Virgin is invoked in the Church under the titles of Advocate, Helper, Benefactress, and MEDIATRIX."512
pg 125 #494 (footnote):
As St. Irenaeus says, "Being obedient she became the cause of salvation for herself and for the whole human race."141
Catholics say they don't worhip Mary, they VENERATE her and the saints. Look up the word "venerate" on Webster's online dictionary and check out some of the definitions of that word, including:
"....kneel to, bow to, bend the knee to; fall down before, prostrate oneself, kiss the hem of one's garment; worship."
Aren't those actions that are attributed to God? And if so, should we really use that word to describe anyone other than God (Jesus)?
John of Patmos was ordered to "write what you see" in the book of Revalation, yet he NEVER mentions seeing a throne for Mary, or Angels ministering to her, or a "Queen of Heaven", or ANYTHING about her. Jesus Himself never referred to her as anything other than "woman". Isn't that a little odd (and rude) that we're to honor our fathers and mothers, yet Jesus calls the "Queen of the Universe" WOMAN? Even from the cross, he said "WOMAN, behold thy son".
This has all been discussed over and over for ages... nevertheless:
You have to remember the Bible was written in old Greek and some words don't translate well. Woman as said by Jesus is prophetic: it refers to THE WOMAN in Genesis which is set apart to crush the head of the snake.
As written on the cross, Jesus is the King of the Jews. In Jew culture, the queen is the mother (not the wife) of the King.
Also, the catacombs in Rome are known to have Marian Prayers written on the walls.
Indeed, Mary has an important role in defeating Satan. There is a reference also in the Apocalypse of a woman defeating Satan. As happens frequently this "woman" is also symbolic of the Church. Mary is the mother of the Church so the symbolism is valid, although difficult to grasp.
I didn't translate woman into queen, Mary is the Queen of Heaven and Earth because she is the mother of Jesus.
38 And after this Joseph of Arimathaea, being a disciple of Jesus, but secretly for fear of the Jews, besought Pilate that he might take away the body of Jesus: and Pilate gave him leave. He came therefore, and took the body of Jesus.
Read the Biblel! There are accounts of the crucifixion in all the Gospels, as well as other places. No, a ghost cannot eat or drink. But Jesus rose from the grave and is ALIVE.
34 But one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and forthwith came there out blood and water. 35 And he that saw it bare record, and his record is true: and he knoweth that he saith true, that ye might believe. 36 For these things were done, that the scripture should be fulfilled, A bone of him shall not be broken.
Ex 12:46 Num 9:12 37 And again another scripture saith, They shall look on him whom they pierced.
Jesus was the "son of god" but this was metaphorical. He wasn't the literal son of god because its impossible for god to have a human son. Jesus was one of the greatest gifts to mankind but he was NOT GOD. I respect anyone's beliefs if that is what they believe I'm just voicing my opinion that no human can literally be god. None the less of course Jesus is the way to God. However he's not the only way he never said he was. This is from someone raised Catholic. Happy Easter everyone.
I'm sorry to disagree with you, but Jesus WAS the Son of God. He became God in the flesh do be a sacrifice for our sins. NOTHING is impossible for God!
John 14:6 - Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
John 10:1-7 (PART 1)
1 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.
2 But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep.3 To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out.4 And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice.5 And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers.
6 This parable spake Jesus unto them: but they understood not what things they were which he spake unto them.7 Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep.
This is not from Catholics. The Catholic religion didn't organize until the 4th century. And the Catholics believe that Mary is also necessary for salvation. Don't EVEN get me started on that doctrine lol. Catholicism keeps it's people in bondage.
i have only one advice which will finally let this conversation come to an end :D.. it was fun
see my friend.. have you ever heard of barnabas?
go look for his book and read it for it was a part of the bible, but the church kept it hidden.
don't read any commented books by people who disagree with that book.just look for book of barnabas itself and then come to your conclusion ,and as God for guidance
Thank you. I enjoyed the back & forth. But the book of Barnabas was never in the Bible. The King James Version was transcribed in 1611 & there was no book of Barnabas that was transcribed. I take the Bible to be the inerrant absolute Word of God.
My impression is that you are anxious to disprove God's Word. But you only research that which supports YOUR view. Please search the Scriptures with an open mind & cross-reference your findings. God's love go with you, brother.
Catholic doctrine (and religion) was there before the 4th century: Pope Clement of Rome wrote his letters at about the same time the Apocalypse was written.
And no, Mary is not necessary for salvation, but neither is the Bible, and loving both doesn't stop anyone from believing in Jesus.
Not only does the Catholic church teach that Mary, too is necessary for salvation, they teach that the church ITSELF is also necessary. May I point your attention to these exerpts from the 1994 Roman Catholic Catechism:
"She (Mary) is inseperably linked with the saving work of her Son." pg 303, #1172
"The Second Vatican Council's Decree on Ecumenism explains: For it is through Christ's Catholic Church alone, which is the universal help toward salvation, that the fulness of the means of salvation can be obtained". pg 215, #816
"All salvation comes from Crist, the Head THROUGH THE CHURCH which is His Body; basing itself on Scripture and tradition, THE COUNCIL TEACHES THAT THE CHURCH, A PILGRIM NOW ON EARTH, IS NECESSARY FOR SALVATION". pg 224, #846
Read what Wikipedia has to say about Clement I, but here is an exeprt:
"Few details are known about Clement's life."
"St Clement's only genuine extant writing is his letter to the Corinthian church, 1 Clement (c. 96), which was a response to strife in the Corinth church, where certain presbyters had been deposed."
It's too long to post it all, so you can read it in context on Wikipedia.
"Holy Church honors the Blessed Mary, Mother of God, with a special love. She is inseparably linked with the saving work of her Son."
She was the instrument through whom God brought his son to earth, but this does NOT imply she is necessary for salvation.
The Church is indeed necessary because Jesus has a special presence in the Church he founded. He also gave the keys of heaven to Peter and he gave the disciples the power to remove or retain sins.
I've taken this journey with Catholics before, and I was also raised a Catholic. The Catholic doctrine is one of bondage. briefly I will say that the church is NOT necessary for salvation unless you believe Jesus' work on the cross wasn't sufficient. Catholics DO consider Mary "co-mediatrix" of salvation. You're comment was that Clement wrote letters, but there is only ONE writing that is considered genuine. The "M" DOES stand for Mary, b/c the Catholic church gves Mary equal status to Jesus.
I've taken this journey before too ... I was once a protestant and I am very aware of what other Christians *think* Catholics believe.
Without the Catholic Church there would be no protestants or Christians as such. It is also clear that there are huge variations in doctrine among non-Catholics, so Catholicism is a necessary point of reference.
- Bondage to God is good.
- The one letter attributed to Clement says enough to support my point.
"oh.. yea everyone can do what ever they like to....-->if they go to church afterwards and repent.. then its all forgiven"
The idea is that when you accept Jesus as your savior, that you won't WANT to do whatever you like, but that you will walk in God's will. The Bible says God is not mocked. He isn't fooled by a deceptive heart.
By the way, I don't care when Jesus' Birthday is. There is nothing in the Bible that tells me I have to know that to get into Heaven. I celebrate Dec 25th as His Birthday, because in the grand scheme of things, that's as good as any other day. The important thing is what He did at Calvary. He died for my sins. And yours.
1.theres proof in the bible he didnt die on cross.
2.how much sense would it make, that God would offer one of His messengers for the sins of WHOLE mankind????? oh.. yea everyone can do what ever they like to....-->if they go to church afterwards and repent.. then its all forgiven.. honestly only God can forgive sins.. and He judges by your deeds.dont you think that makes mor sense?oh .. no yea a priest should also be able to forgive the sins people have in their hearrts..--NO!
2. You're bouncing all over the place trying so hard to disprove the Bible. It makes perfect sense if you study the Bible. You would know the reason Jesus gave His life for ALL mankind. And there's plenty of Old Testament prophecy to support it.
3. I don't know what makes you think I'm a Catholic. I'm not. I completely agree that man should not confess his sins to another sinful man. Jesus' work on the cross allows us to go straight to god and ask forgiveness.
barnabas? a disciple of Jesus pbuh.. whose book has been kept hidden for centuries;)
and Jesus pbuh did NOT die on cross.!
look what day was it he was on the cross?good friday? and the day after that ,which day comes after friday ?->saturday.. and saturday is the jew's sunday, prayer day.
so people were not allowed to hang longer than sun set ,so in the night of saturday..got that?so he must have been taken off!! didnt he appear in front of his
31 The Jews therefore, because it was the preparation, that the bodies should not remain upon the cross on the sabbath day, (for that sabbath day was an high day,) besought Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away.
32 Then came the soldiers, and brake the legs of the first, and of the other which was crucified with him.
33 But when they came to Jesus, and saw that he was dead already, they brake not his legs:
Proverbs 8:22 is not referring to Moses, It's more Old Testament prophecy of Jesus, which is substantiated in the New Testament in John 17:5 where Jesus says:
"And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was."
Do HONEST research, not conspiracy theory research.
also read John 1:1-28 and let me see if you can say that it is not a full testimony that Jesus is God himself. we are all God's sons and daughters but Jesus was different he is God's son and he is God for he is the word of God that is what u'll read in these verses i gave u!!!!!!
i'm sorry but that doesnt make any kind of sense .. you say : God = Father+Son+Holy Ghost???? what?? didnt the bible say holy ghost was a creation of God? and Jesus (peace be upon him) never EVER claimed once in the bible( there's NO quotation from HIMSELF in the bible ,only from John ,Peter etc) that he said I'm God worship me,or I'm the son of God so worship me.you say he's God himself and then you say he's the son of God? sooo .. ahhh .. God made himself? God made himself his own son!
So Paul said whoever does not believe in the trinity is no christian ..right? oh thats good cause Jesus pbuh did not believe that and in fact he was a JEW.the word Jesus is from greek (means the Ointed ) his real Hebrew name is Isso,Issa ,or Yeheshua means the Ointing One
so who is the one who said that he's God and his own Son ?and that the holy ghost is even a Part of himself ?this does not even make sense, cause the holy Ghost cant be a part of Jesus(john14:16-17)
26 And God said, Let US make man in OUR image, after OUR likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
Isn't it just possible He was referring to God the Father/Son/Holy Spirit?
NO my friend.. it doesnt make sense and you tell me that i cannot grasp it.. grasp what?
you SHOULD read the book of barnabas..?barna-who? yea right the church kept his book hidden when paul came.. Paul said God is three in 1.. a HUMAN said it.. so you tell me that i cannot grasp it? of course NOT! because there is no sense to it.. and by the way ,check out Jesus(pbuh) birthday..
By the way, I don't care when Jesus' Birthday is. There is nothing in the Bible that tells me I have to know that to get into Heaven. I celebrate Dec 25th as Bis Birthday, because in the grand scheme of things, that's as good as any other day. Then important thing is what He did at Calvary. He died for my sins.
Look verse 1 has a false statement here. it says the word was God ..? eh?
-->In the begining was the word? ... and the word was God?
you say God has a beginning? that's blasphemic my friend.. God has no beginning nor an end(Quran) ...yea it's right HE is the first and HE is the last.. but you cannot refer time to God Allmighty.. because he created time and space....
You're splitting hairs. Obviously the point he was trying to make woudn't have worked if he said "in the beginning IS the Word, and the Word IS with God, and the Word IS God. Use your head.
Oh no not another muslim who try to teach christians again .Hey you before doing this study the Bible ,come on Proverbs was written by King Solomon NOT Moses ,stop doing this you are ignorant of the Word of God tssk tssk tssk
look.. i'm reading the bible.. and as much as i get is that Jesus(our beloved prophet ,peace be upon him) teaches people to love each other and to understand each other,am i wrong?so to get a better understanding of christians i read the bible.and you should, out of respect for our beloved Jesus pbuh ,read Quran ..then you would know that we love Jesus pbuh .. more than anyone else!
just Read Quran .Muhammad s.a.w. not only teached people to love each other for God's sake but also HOW to treat each other in EVERY kind of situation;)
Mohammad also taught you how to kill people who would leave the islam to kill anyone who won't believe in islam and to kill anyone who does not believe in mohammad. that's love alright
so.. you heard about islam from someone who was never a muslim nor would he have any bit of knowledge about it..dont believe go learn for yourself .. historicans(christians,atheists-->non-muslims) have proven the existence of Muhammad s.a.w. and they NEVER ever killed anyone, besides in wars.. and spain was in muslim hands for over 600 yrs.. my friend nobody ever forced them to become muslims, look .the muslims let always the people of the conquerred regions go.. got that?the families etc. they
the people of that city were free to go where they wanted or stay and live along the muslims, which by the way often happened but they never were treated the way the christians treated them after their"holy cross wars".they always treated them with respect and love.thats why spain is still christian land cause no one ever told them by force to be muslims.cause if someone does not accept God with his heart then its useless for him. instead let him believe what he wants,as long as he does not lie
can god do anything he wants to do ? please just anyone answer me this muslim christian hindu we talk about if the seas where ink we could not describe how powerfull god is so tell me this someone please can god do anything he want or are there boundries to what he cant do ? and how do you know these boundries please help me im lost thanks brothers and sisters
Do you know what I find frightenly funny about these vids and the defensive "christian" posts under them? The Bible is a book of FAITH, not fact. Any clergyman can tell you that. In the Bible if someone heard voices of angels do we believe that as FACT? Hardly, today, we call them insane. It is a book of opinions that was created to try and make a way for people to live thier lives for a better, greater purpose, NOTHING MORE. Faith is whats required to believe, NOT fact.
Jews do not believe in the New Testimine at all, it is just a biassed history book to us. Also, the fundamentals of Jewish prayer on Yom Kippur, the most Holy day of the year is that God is our Father and we are His children
God is called the TRINITY, for Father, Son and Holy Spirit. God takes three forms, seperate but one. Yea blow your mind. Well given the Creator of the Universe, Earth and man, I am sure, God can pull of taking three forms at once.
1 Corinthians 15:3-7 Christ died for our sins and was buried and raised on the 3rd day and appeared to Peter and then to the Twelve disciples and to more than 500 of the brothers at the same time. Mohammad did not die for your sins.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten Son to whomsoever shall believe in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.
1 John 4:14 We have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Saviour of the world.
When Jesus comes again, he will judge the world, and not the Father who will judge the world. John 5:22 The Father judges no one, but has entrusted all judgment to the Son that all may honour the Son just as they honour the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father, who sent him.
2 Corinthians 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ that each one may receive what is due him for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad.
Philippians 2:10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth. vs,11 and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
1 John 5:20 "We know also that the Son of God has given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true. And we are in him who is true-even his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life." Notice the last verse prove that He is God (the true God and eternal life)
1 John 5:11- And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. vs. 12 He who has the Son has life; he who does not have then Son of God does not have life. (meaning eternal life)
Proverbs 8:22 refer to wisdom and not Moses (Wisdom also refer to Jesus)
Adam was created by God. Although without father or mother, he is not without sin as he ate the apple and disobey God. Whereas Jesus is of holy birth born of the Holy Spirit.
Jesus is greater than Moses Hebrews 3:3 Jesus has been found worthy of greater honor than Moses, just as the builder of the house has greater honor that the house itself. In other word, just as the Creator has greator honor than the creation.
I have heard it said Mohammad was like a second Jesus - its just a shame they didn't crusify that bastard as well. All religion is a total waste of time, if there is a Allah or a God and they want their followers to spread hate and violence in their name - I rather take my chances with the devil. He seems the most geunine - of the lot.

Jesus answers me each time. He told me im meant to be a youth pastor and He also showed me which college im so supposed to go to. Jesus is GOD Almighty, Yahweh.

But most of us have never met Letterman only his image.
muncastro 2 years ago 2
God incarnated his image or his Word into Christ Just as Letterman digitalized his image or
Words into a video. Jesus is not all of God is in only of God. Jesus accepted worship of Thomas and others which would have been blasphemy if he was not God's incarnate image. Also, both God and Jesus are identified as the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last in the Last chapter of Revelation.

I just re-read my post, and I meant to say that either there's NO difference.... But actually, the way I originally wrote it works. Because there IS a difference, and the RCC DOES contradict itself.
jensen220 2 years ago

(3) Not Jesus?
(4) Psa 46:1 - 1 GOD is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
(5) Psa 120:5 (from the Douay-Rheims Catholic Bile) - 5 The Lord is thy keeper, THE LORD IS THY PROTECTION upon thy right hand.
Psa 88:19(Also from the DRCB) - 19 For our protection IS OF THE LORD, and of our king the holy one of Israel.
This is just 1 prayer. There are many like it that instruct the person to pray to Mary for these things, Not God through Jesus.
jensen220 2 years ago
Admittedly this is something difficult to understand to a non-Catholic.
- The concept of Communion of the Saints means that every Saint is in a special union with the Holy Trinity, and this is completely true with the Virgin Mary.
- It is known that Jesus is particularly favorable to his mother's wishes (the wedding in Canaa for a biblical example), so her "protection" is known to be something very real.
pegifu 2 years ago
(1) Phil 2:9-11 - 9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
(2) Mark 9:40 - 41 For whosoever shall give you a cup of water to drink in my name, because ye BELONG TO CHRIST, verily I say unto you, he shall not lose his reward.

Concerning protection: Satan hates and fears the Virgin Mary as he knows she has a clear roll in his defeat.
pegifu 2 years ago
Thisis where I and the Catholics part company (thank God). There is nothing Biblical that supports the Cathoilic doctrine regarding Mary. Again, She is not listed anywhere in the Bibleas having the station the Catholic church places on her. Mary has no role in defeating satan, other than that of providing the vessel to deliver into this world God in the flesh. If Mary had a role, then Jesus' work was not sufficient. How does the wedding at Cana show Jesus' "favor to his mother's wishes"?
jensen220 2 years ago
The main role in the bible, and particularly in the New Testament is indeed Jesus, and He is too great to spend those few pages on the Virgin Mary. The Virgin Mary is indeed an instrument but you seem to imply that recognizing her merits somehow diminishes Jesus: it doesn't. On the contrary ... praise for his mother is also praise to his son and to the God that made her for that purpose.
The completeness of the sacrifice of Christ is another subject that protestants don't understand well.
pegifu 2 years ago
But if Mary's role in our salvation is THAT important, I don't blieve God would not have left it to interpretation. He's not a God of confusion.
jensen220 2 years ago
She is not THAT important: we will be judged by Jesus and only Jesus, and Jesus is the Savior not Mary.
See.. protestants only believe what Catholics wrote on the Bible.
But then the Bible says
John 21: 25
Jesus did many other things as well. If every one of them were written down, I suppose that even the whole world would not have room for the books that would be written.
pegifu 2 years ago
That's well and good. But the importance the Catholic church places on Mary's role leads me to think that God would've allowed that to be in the Bible. And no, I'm pretty much the opposite of what you said. I believe almost NOTHING the Catholics wrote on the Bible, because God's word and Catholic doctrine don't line up. And I believe the Bible is the final authority, whereas Catholics believe the CHURCH is the final authority, more exactly, the Pope.
jensen220 2 years ago
You didn't understand:Which was first the Church, or the Bible?
Catholics WROTE the Bible: No other Church was in existance during the first 4 centuries. Luther did cut it in the 1400's, but it is basically the same Bible Catholics use.
Furthermore the doctrine that the Bible is the *only* reference to doctrine is unbiblical, in fact the Bible says (1 Ti. 3:15) that "the Church of the Living God is the pillar and foundation of the truth."
As you see, people can interpret the Bible in many ways.
pegifu 2 years ago
If Catholics wrote the Bible, then it's an even stronger indictment of their doctrine, because Catholic doctrine is opposed to God's word. I never said the Bible is the only source. However, I do believe that it is the final authority. So, if something doesn't line up with God's Word, I take the side of God's word.
jensen220 2 years ago
Anyway, this will be my last post to you on this. I'm the same as you, I stopped trying to convert people. It's up to each person to search the Scriptures (something ELSE the Catholic church doesn't want you doing) and decide for themselves. We all face God alone in the end :)
jensen220 2 years ago
That's funny: this "Something ELSE the Catholic Church doesn't want me to do" is my obligation: I am a reader of the Holy Scriptures in my Parish. I even received a special blessing to do it during Mass.
pegifu 2 years ago
Okay, I'll bite. From the RCC:
"The task of interpreting the Word of God authentically has been entrusted solely to the Magisterium of the Church, that is, to the Pope and to the bishops in communion with him." pg 30, #100
I have never attended a mass where I was told to turn to Scripture. There were the 1st & 2nd readings, but the rest was ritual. The only thing we were ever encouraged to read out of were the missals. Your leaders don't want you studying the Bible for yourself.
jensen220 2 years ago
From the RCC #133:
The Church "forcefully and specifically exhorts all the Christian faithful... to learn the surpassing knowledge of Jesus Christ, by frequent reading of the divine Scriptures. Ignorance of the Scriptures is ignorance of Christ."
The Liturgy of the Word is ordered in such a way that the complete Bible is read in three years, and Catholic Bibles (with an Apostille) are common.
Interpreting the bible (claiming the date the world will end, the AntiChrist, etc.) IS prohibited.
pegifu 2 years ago
Either there's a differnece between learning and interpreting the Scriptures, or the RCC is contradictory. The truth is, your church may want you to learn the Bible, but when you have questions, THEY are the ones to answer them. That's convenient, so if you should question something about Catholicism that is in opposition to the Bible, they are well trained to "interpret" it for you.
jensen220 2 years ago
There is quite a difference between learning and interpreting.
The Catholic Church has authority: it is the only Church that claims to be founded by Jesus himself.
The biggest issue In my protestant "experience" was the lack of coherence in the interpretations of the Bible, among the many denominations. If the Bible is supposed to be the only truth, then why protestants never agree on so many issues? The Holy Spirit is NOT going to teach two different "truths", so someone has the wrong spirit.
pegifu 2 years ago
pegifu:
Yes, there is a difference. And your church wants you to follow THEIR interpretation of the Scriptures. But as I showed in all the Scriptures I posted, NOWHERE in the Bible does it say we can't interpret God's Word. I can't say without researching whether or not Catholics disagree with each other, but if they don't, it's because they are not permitted to think for themselves regarding Scripture.
jensen220 2 years ago
All Churches want their followers THEIR interpretations of the Scriptures, especially when they wrote them :).

If you are an ex-Protestant, then you should know that there is no rule that says the church leaders want followers to believe THEIR interpretations.

Unable to mount a defense, .......
jensen220 2 years ago
That's not a disagreement in doctrine. If some Pope somehow said Jesus is not God, or that the Virgin Mary is not virgin or deny anything in the Cathecism, then that would be a disagreement in doctrine (I know Pastors that have looked for that and gave up).
God can do good through bad ppl.
Popes are known to be sinners, they confess with other priests. Like the Apostles, they can go to Hell or have to stay a while in the Purgatory but the Church shall prevail over the doors of Hell, as promised.
pegifu 2 years ago
I said it before, but this time I'm REALLY gonna have to make this my last post. You are blinded to all the doctrines of your church that are in obvious opposition to the Word of God, but your chuch has you in such bondage, that it will only be by God's grace that you break away from it. Purgatory, the rosary, the brown scapular, praying to dead people, penance, confessing to a priest, ritualistic prayer, transubstantiation, icons (idols), the Pope.....all used to keep you in bondage. God bless.
jensen220 2 years ago
pegifu:
"Formosus' ghastly remains were convicted. As punishment, the 3 fingers Formosus once used to bless the faithful were hacked from his right hand. His body was dragged away and thrown into the Tiber River."

That seems a bit disagreeable! And it brings up a whole other subject about Popes being Christ's Vicar (substitute), anti-popes and whatnot. But I don't even want to get started on that lol

At Cana, when He said "Woman, what have I to do with thee, mine hour is not yet come", He was making it clear that, now that His ministry had begun, she had to take her place among other followers. Her job was done. Mary was the mother of JESUS, not God.
jensen220 2 years ago
Are you sure we are reading the same text? Jesus says his mission hasn't started yet, so the lack of wine is not Jesus or Mary's problem. Mary attitude is also clear.. she just tells the people "do what he says".
It is also a Catholic teaching that the Son is cosubstantial with the Father. Jesus is God: not half man half God, but complete man and complete God.
Jesus IS God, therefore Mary is mother of God.
pegifu 2 years ago
I'm aware of that, too. But I want you to tell me how you arrive at the belief that Jesus had special favor toward Mary, other than that of a son to his mother (and as I said, once He began, or was about to begin His Ministry, He referred to her only as woman. He was being clear that her job was done).
jensen220 2 years ago
Check Matt 13:46-49
46 While he yet talked to the people, behold, his mother and his brethren stood without, desiring to speak with him.
47 Then one said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren stand without, desiring to speak with thee. 48 But he answered and said unto him that told him, Who is my mother? and who are my brethren? 49 And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren!
jensen220 2 years ago
Why didn't He say "Whoa, she's here? Briing her to me immediately! OR better, let ME go out to HER!"? Odd way to treat the mother of God. Wouldn't that have been an ideal point to make her status known so there wouldn't be ANY doubts?
jensen220 2 years ago
Another Catholic favorite is to say that Mary was born without sin. There's nothing other than Catholic tradition to back this up. In fact, Mary herself disproves this in Mark 1:46, 47:
46 And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord, 47 And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour.
If she was born without sin, she wouldn't need a savior. And in order for her to be born without sin, HER mother would have to be, then HER mother as well.
jensen220 2 years ago
More than a favorite, it's a dogma. (I couldn't find Mark 1:46 .. that looks like the Magnificat which is unrelated to Mary's inmaculate conception).
Orthodox and some protestants share the same beliefs concerning Mary and the Holy Eucharist: what makes a Catholic authentically Catholic is obedience and acceptance of the teachings of the Pope.
The second paragraph is your interpretation, I have my own explanation but it's not Catholic doctrine.
pegifu 2 years ago
If God was able to allow Mary to be born sinless from a sinful woman, He certainly could've done that with Jesus. Your church ascribes the same attributes to Mary as the Bible does to Jesus, by stating she can forgive sins, save sinners, was born without sin, ascended to Heaven, has a throne in Heaven, is our help, heals the soul, etc. That places her equal to Jesus. With the rosary, you say 1 "Our Father", 1 "Glory be to the Father" and TEN hail Marys. Mary is prayed to 10 times more than God.
jensen220 2 years ago
Good point; nothing is impossible to God. However in the old testament you see that the Arc of the Covenant is to be inmaculate and only the High Priest can touch it. Mary is the Arc of the New Covenant for at least 9 months. She is Full of Grace so certainly she shares many characteristics with Jesus.
Mary can't forgive sins, she does guide people to Jesus and she does exactly that in all the accepted apparitions.
(I'll explain the rosary later)
pegifu 2 years ago
And in my next post, I will quote out of the RCC regarding what your church teaches about Mary and salvation.
jensen220 2 years ago
The Rosary was originally meant for people that didn't know how to read the Psalms (only clergy was good at reading). In addition to the traditional prayers based on the Bible, there are meditations which are actually the important part.
Every time we pray the "Hail Mary" we thank God for using Mary and we pray to Jesus (and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus).
Why would we mention Mary at all? Because she is the best example of someone that knows loves, and remained with Jesus always.
pegifu 2 years ago
From the RCC pg 252 #969:
"...Taken up to heaven she did not lay aside this saving office but by her manifold intercession CONTINUES TO BRING US THE GIFTS OF ETERNAL SALVATION. . . . Therefore the Blessed Virgin is invoked in the Church under the titles of Advocate, Helper, Benefactress, and MEDIATRIX."512
pg 125 #494 (footnote):
As St. Irenaeus says, "Being obedient she became the cause of salvation for herself and for the whole human race."141
jensen220 2 years ago
"Mediatrix" isn't even in the dictionary, but I take it's meaning to be the feminine of "mediator". The Bible says:
1 Tim 2:5 - 5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
jensen220 2 years ago
The rosary has you praying to Mary 10 times more than to God. Isaiah 42:8 reads:
8 I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.
jensen220 2 years ago
In an earlier post you spoke of old Greek being used and of Jewish meanings. you said:
"As written on the cross, Jesus is the King of the Jews. In Jew culture, the queen is the mother (not the wife) of the King."
So can you tell me where I can research that in either Jewish or Greek translations?
jensen220 2 years ago
Oh, those arere are two different things.
Look for "Kejaritomene",
That Jesus is the King of the Jews was written on top of the cross, the famous INRI.
pegifu 2 years ago
I'm aware of that, what I want to know more about is how "mother" and "queen" relate, and where you found that.
jensen220 2 years ago
Catholics say they don't worhip Mary, they VENERATE her and the saints. Look up the word "venerate" on Webster's online dictionary and check out some of the definitions of that word, including:
"....kneel to, bow to, bend the knee to; fall down before, prostrate oneself, kiss the hem of one's garment; worship."
Aren't those actions that are attributed to God? And if so, should we really use that word to describe anyone other than God (Jesus)?
jensen220 2 years ago
John of Patmos was ordered to "write what you see" in the book of Revalation, yet he NEVER mentions seeing a throne for Mary, or Angels ministering to her, or a "Queen of Heaven", or ANYTHING about her. Jesus Himself never referred to her as anything other than "woman". Isn't that a little odd (and rude) that we're to honor our fathers and mothers, yet Jesus calls the "Queen of the Universe" WOMAN? Even from the cross, he said "WOMAN, behold thy son".
jensen220 2 years ago
This has all been discussed over and over for ages... nevertheless:
You have to remember the Bible was written in old Greek and some words don't translate well. Woman as said by Jesus is prophetic: it refers to THE WOMAN in Genesis which is set apart to crush the head of the snake.
As written on the cross, Jesus is the King of the Jews. In Jew culture, the queen is the mother (not the wife) of the King.
Also, the catacombs in Rome are known to have Marian Prayers written on the walls.
pegifu 2 years ago
According to my research, Genesis 3:15, from which you quote, is a prophecy of satan's defeat. Are you saying Mary will defeat satan?
I cannot locate your translation of "woman" into "queen". Please tell me where I can research this.
As to the Marian prayers, I wold like to show you a few in my next post(s).
jensen220 2 years ago
Indeed, Mary has an important role in defeating Satan. There is a reference also in the Apocalypse of a woman defeating Satan. As happens frequently this "woman" is also symbolic of the Church. Mary is the mother of the Church so the symbolism is valid, although difficult to grasp.
I didn't translate woman into queen, Mary is the Queen of Heaven and Earth because she is the mother of Jesus.

John 19:31-38 (PART3)
38 And after this Joseph of Arimathaea, being a disciple of Jesus, but secretly for fear of the Jews, besought Pilate that he might take away the body of Jesus: and Pilate gave him leave. He came therefore, and took the body of Jesus.
Read the Biblel! There are accounts of the crucifixion in all the Gospels, as well as other places. No, a ghost cannot eat or drink. But Jesus rose from the grave and is ALIVE.

John 19:31-38 (PART 2)

1 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.
jensen220 2 years ago
John 10:1-7 (PART 2)
2 But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep.3 To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out.4 And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice.5 And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers.
jensen220 2 years ago
John 10:1-7 (PART 3)
6 This parable spake Jesus unto them: but they understood not what things they were which he spake unto them.7 Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep.
This is not from Catholics. The Catholic religion didn't organize until the 4th century. And the Catholics believe that Mary is also necessary for salvation. Don't EVEN get me started on that doctrine lol. Catholicism keeps it's people in bondage.

i have only one advice which will finally let this conversation come to an end :D.. it was fun
see my friend.. have you ever heard of barnabas?
go look for his book and read it for it was a part of the bible, but the church kept it hidden.
don't read any commented books by people who disagree with that book.just look for book of barnabas itself and then come to your conclusion ,and as God for guidance
have a nice day:D
salamalaikum , peace be with u
Pua8 2 years ago

And no, Mary is not necessary for salvation, but neither is the Bible, and loving both doesn't stop anyone from believing in Jesus.
pegifu 2 years ago
PART 1
Not only does the Catholic church teach that Mary, too is necessary for salvation, they teach that the church ITSELF is also necessary. May I point your attention to these exerpts from the 1994 Roman Catholic Catechism:
"She (Mary) is inseperably linked with the saving work of her Son." pg 303, #1172
jensen220 2 years ago
PART 2

It's too long to post it all, so you can read it in context on Wikipedia.
jensen220 2 years ago
By the way, Did you notice the lid of Pope John Paul's coffin? It had on it the sign of the cross with a huge "M" included.
jensen220 2 years ago
People write many things on their coffins.
Catholics claim they were all made brothers of Jesus and sons of the Holy Virgin Mary so, yes, that M probably stands for Mary.
That doesn't imply salvation or adoration, simply love for the Mother of God.
pegifu 2 years ago
Few details are known about Jesus' life.: crazy people are still claiming they found his tomb.
On Clement of Rome the wikipedia (which you quote) says:
"He asserted the authority of the presbyters as rulers of the church, on the grounds that the Apostles had appointed them."
There's evidently a Church with a Pope on the first century (which was my point).
pegifu 2 years ago
RCC Catechism 1172:
"Holy Church honors the Blessed Mary, Mother of God, with a special love. She is inseparably linked with the saving work of her Son."
She was the instrument through whom God brought his son to earth, but this does NOT imply she is necessary for salvation.
The Church is indeed necessary because Jesus has a special presence in the Church he founded. He also gave the keys of heaven to Peter and he gave the disciples the power to remove or retain sins.
pegifu 2 years ago
I've taken this journey with Catholics before, and I was also raised a Catholic. The Catholic doctrine is one of bondage. briefly I will say that the church is NOT necessary for salvation unless you believe Jesus' work on the cross wasn't sufficient. Catholics DO consider Mary "co-mediatrix" of salvation. You're comment was that Clement wrote letters, but there is only ONE writing that is considered genuine. The "M" DOES stand for Mary, b/c the Catholic church gves Mary equal status to Jesus.
jensen220 2 years ago
I've taken this journey before too ... I was once a protestant and I am very aware of what other Christians *think* Catholics believe.
Without the Catholic Church there would be no protestants or Christians as such. It is also clear that there are huge variations in doctrine among non-Catholics, so Catholicism is a necessary point of reference.
- Bondage to God is good.
- The one letter attributed to Clement says enough to support my point.
- Catholics don't confuse Mary with God.

"oh.. yea everyone can do what ever they like to....-->if they go to church afterwards and repent.. then its all forgiven"
The idea is that when you accept Jesus as your savior, that you won't WANT to do whatever you like, but that you will walk in God's will. The Bible says God is not mocked. He isn't fooled by a deceptive heart.

CORRECTING MY SPELLING!
And yours.
jensen220 2 years ago
1.theres proof in the bible he didnt die on cross.
2.how much sense would it make, that God would offer one of His messengers for the sins of WHOLE mankind????? oh.. yea everyone can do what ever they like to....-->if they go to church afterwards and repent.. then its all forgiven.. honestly only God can forgive sins.. and He judges by your deeds.dont you think that makes mor sense?oh .. no yea a priest should also be able to forgive the sins people have in their hearrts..--NO!
Pua8 2 years ago
1. No there isn't.
Jesus' work on the cross allows us to go straight to god and ask forgiveness.
jensen220 2 years ago
go .. my friend search the book of barnabas.
barnabas? a disciple of Jesus pbuh.. whose book has been kept hidden for centuries;)
and Jesus pbuh did NOT die on cross.!
look what day was it he was on the cross?good friday? and the day after that ,which day comes after friday ?->saturday.. and saturday is the jew's sunday, prayer day.
so people were not allowed to hang longer than sun set ,so in the night of saturday..got that?so he must have been taken off!! didnt he appear in front of his

disciples with wounds all around his body?didnt he ask for some food? didnt he eat some bread and fish? can a ghost do that?

ask him for honest guidance
have a nice day salamalaikum;)

First the Scripture:
John 19:31-35 (PART 1)

Do HONEST research, not conspiracy theory research.

also read John 1:1-28 and let me see if you can say that it is not a full testimony that Jesus is God himself. we are all God's sons and daughters but Jesus was different he is God's son and he is God for he is the word of God that is what u'll read in these verses i gave u!!!!!!
qiwiyi 2 years ago
i'm sorry but that doesnt make any kind of sense .. you say : God = Father+Son+Holy Ghost???? what?? didnt the bible say holy ghost was a creation of God? and Jesus (peace be upon him) never EVER claimed once in the bible( there's NO quotation from HIMSELF in the bible ,only from John ,Peter etc) that he said I'm God worship me,or I'm the son of God so worship me.you say he's God himself and then you say he's the son of God? sooo .. ahhh .. God made himself? God made himself his own son!

back to the Father Son thing
So Paul said whoever does not believe in the trinity is no christian ..right? oh thats good cause Jesus pbuh did not believe that and in fact he was a JEW.the word Jesus is from greek (means the Ointed ) his real Hebrew name is Isso,Issa ,or Yeheshua means the Ointing One
so who is the one who said that he's God and his own Son ?and that the holy ghost is even a Part of himself ?this does not even make sense, cause the holy Ghost cant be a part of Jesus(john14:16-17)
Pua8 2 years ago
Pua8:
Of course it doesn't make sense, you're trying to grasp it with your FINITE mind. Check this:
GEN 1:26
26 And God said, Let US make man in OUR image, after OUR likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
Isn't it just possible He was referring to God the Father/Son/Holy Spirit?
jensen220 2 years ago
NO my friend.. it doesnt make sense and you tell me that i cannot grasp it.. grasp what?
you SHOULD read the book of barnabas..?barna-who? yea right the church kept his book hidden when paul came.. Paul said God is three in 1.. a HUMAN said it.. so you tell me that i cannot grasp it? of course NOT! because there is no sense to it.. and by the way ,check out Jesus(pbuh) birthday..
when is it? ..where do you got that from?

-->In the begining was the word? ... and the word was God?
you say God has a beginning? that's blasphemic my friend.. God has no beginning nor an end(Quran) ...yea it's right HE is the first and HE is the last.. but you cannot refer time to God Allmighty.. because he created time and space....

When Jesus comes again, he will judge the world, and not the Father who will judge the world. John 5:22 The Father judges no one, but has entrusted all judgment to the Son that all may honour the Son just as they honour the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father, who sent him.

"What God Says About His Oneness"
Matt 22:42-46
saying, "What do you think about the Christ? Whose son is he?" They said to him, "The son of David."
He said to them, "How is it then that David, in the Spirit, calls him Lord, saying,
"'The Lord said to my Lord, Sit at my right hand, until I put your enemies under your feet'? (Psalm 110:1)
If then David calls him Lord, how is he his son?" ...

And no one was able to answer him a word, nor from that day did anyone dare to ask him any more questions.
Psalm 110 means:
'The Father said to my Son, Sit at my right hand, until I put your enemies under your feet'?
Heb 1:13 But of which of the angels has he said at any time, Take your seat at my right hand till I put all those who are against you under your feet? ...

Acts 2:34-36
For David HAS NOT GONE UP INTO HEAVEN, but says, himself, The Lord said to my Lord, Be seated at my right hand, Till I put all those who are against you under your feet.
For this reason, let all Israel be certain that this Jesus, whom you put to death on the cross, GOD HAS MADE LORD AND CHRIST.
Isaiah 7:14 Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. Behold, THE VIRGIN SHALL CONCEIVE AND BEAR A SON, and shall call his name Immanuel (which means, GOD WITH US). ...

Isa 9:6 For to us a child is born, to us a Son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

"the new is that you have verses such these below to prove god is only"
You Muslims know nothing about the Bible, so why do you talk about it?
John 1:1-3, 14 says Jesus had always existed with the Father. Both Jesus and the Father are God. Jesus was the One who created everything.
In Genesis 1, the Hebrew word for "God" is "Eloheem". The word is plural, as in more than one. ...

Gen 1:26 Then God said, "Let US make man in OUR image, after OUR likeness.
God was not talking to Himself.
Mat 19:5 And God said, 'For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and UNITE with his wife, and THE TWO WILL BECOME ONE.'
One as in unity.
John 17:11 Holy Father, keep them in your name which you have given to me, so THAT THEY MAY BE ONE even AS WE ARE ONE.
Jesus prayed that the apostles be ONE (as in unity) just as Jesus and the Father are one (in unity).

ISA 44:8 Fear ye not, neither be afraid: have not I told thee from that time, and have declared it? ye are even my witnesses. Is there a God beside me? yea, there is no God; I know not any.
