HTML editors have many many build in features, I use to only use notepad but HTML editors are much easier on your eyes

Hey note pad is good dont get me wrong but if you want something that highlights the code sayng that it accepted the code then go wth NVu but personaly id choose TextPad just google it and down load and plus u can also use it for Java Scrpt C++ HTM HTML XHTML XML an alot more but before u get to typing save your file as a html first to make TextPad Highlight it. Its kinda Like a CODE CHECKER but its a kool Program for all your programmng needs if u have any trouble just zip me a message
