how to do it:

hold the nunchuck stick forward.

when the number 2 appears on the screen, hold down z.

once 'go' appears, press a.

It took me over 40 attempts but finally made it! Even then cosmic mario was ahead of my about 50% of the way. The turbo start really helped though. It's jumping those boxes that really annoys me. Mario just bounces around.

How do you get Mario to not lag when he jumps up on top of a block? Every time I do it he gets stuck on the sloped edges just long enough for Cosmic Mario to catch up. They should have compensated for this by putting clip boxes around the corners because there is no justification in the universe for spending three seconds on a foot-wide slope.

I also think the effect of him bumping into you and knocking your timing off is just plain bad design. If he can bump, you should be able to bump back.

If you hold forward when the countdown begions, hold z when it reaches 2, and A when it says "GO", you'll get this HUGE boost. It's hard to get though, and you usually end up squatting.

TIP: for cosmic comets if you do 1 of them long jumps right at the start you turn yellow and can run faster for about 5 secs

While you're running you have to press and hold Z and almost immediately hit the jump button after you press Z.
