Great points. About the food, I looked that up- the people who came up with this have no common sense. They took statistics from the last decade or two of reported illness caused by food, ranking food items based on percentages. However, the reason leafy greens are at the top? People don't wash it properly, and get sick! It's not that anything on that list is inherently harmful- it's just not idiot proof!

Lee just so ya know, the 24 beer limit does make sense in Australia, cricket games last somewhere bewteen 6 and 8 hours. at least twice the length of a baseball game. If you spend a whole day at a stadium watching a game, you can consume a large number of drinks over that timeframe.

ok maybe you are a lightweight but when I finished high school, my friend and I would go to 24 parties, where everyone brings and rinks their own 24 case of beer. if one has a solid enough drinking habit, 24 in 8 hours isn't really all that much. thats 3 an hour, and its pretty easy to drink 3 beer an hour.

I'm unsure how the Cap and Trade tax would affect me overall other than increasing my energy costs. But speaking about energy though. I've worked in Coal Fired Power plants through the years and I work in Nuclear power plants more. And frankly If they shut down every Coal Plant (dirt burners) I couldn't be happier. The whole Coal process from ground to disposal of the left-over waste is the most polluting source of energy we use here in the U.S. Plus the lack or Enforced Regulation is abysmal.

Right now inflation is the only chance you people have to pay your debts.
VAT tax is essentially a good thing, if it substitutes the normal taxes and isn't just added ontop of them.
Let me explain: it's easy to enforce and does not require large aparatus. It also does not involve breaking your privacy rights (no tax declarations).
The state has an incentive to promote bussiness.
