Are item drops and missions different or something on different playthroughs? Cause I've been watching these videos of yours and first of all I have never seen the gun before in the water at 9:24 . Also, I don't ever remember getting that Transaction mission and I'm several hours into the game so far. If someone could clear this up for me I'd appreciate it. I just bought the game yesterday btw with almost no knowledge of it so ya that's my excuse :P

@MsXtreme1234 They should be more than enough to run the game nice. Keep in mind that if you come across those "lag spikes" (moments where the screen freezes for half of a second) it's not because of your settings. That's just the way xRay Engines work; they simply have too many details to render at a certain moment (especially when you are in an area with a lot of grass). I think that if you run the game on an SSD, that lagg might disappear but that's just a thought, I'm not sure if it works.

@AnGrYGrEeKGuY As time passes (especially when you sleep), you start to get hungry and a little "food symbol" appears on the side of the screen so you have to eat or else you will loose energy and get tired more often. The symbol will turn from green to yellow to red indicating how hungry you are. You won't lose health if you don't eat but you will feel tired more often which you don't want to happen if (for example) you get chased by a dangerous mutant.

Come on, this game is soooo difficult. The Ak u have has terrible recoil and if u encounter more than 3 enemies at once, death is guaranteed. I mean, i dont even have time to press F1 or F2, i die at once. I dont understand how you make it so easy xD

@konlad1990 The reason why I use the AK is because you can find bullets for it almost anywhere in the game. And the weapon is not that bad. Actually, after you make some upgrades to it, its recoil will be reduced and its accuracy will increase a lot. In order to control the AK when it's not upgraded you must try and fire as fewer bullets at a time as possible. Maybe one or two bullets / second are enough to keep the weapon under control.

@Riimi66 Actually... just the first 17 parts I recorded them in low settings. From part 17 to the end I recorded in high settings because I bought a new processor and a new motherboard. Also from part 17 the frame rate is better. I used fraps for the whole walkthrough.

I can't comprehend why you didn't use the SPSA-14 shotgun, seeming as any common bandit carries a large loadout of shotgun shells so they're easy to come by, and it has such a tight range that it has basically the same effective range as something like the AKM-74/2 or the AKM-74/2u. Personal preference, I guess. Some people just don't like shotguns.

@godistheonlykinga most definitely! it's world isn't nearly as large as the first 2 stalker-games' worlds, the main mission isn't very long and it's more about exploring the maps instead of pure combat but it's got a ton of sidequests and imho it's an excellent game.

@radeczo my PC is OLD! Pentium 4 @ 2.3 GHz, 2 GB RAM, AGP video card, ATI Radeon XP 1950 Pro with 512 MB video memory. I played all the STALKERs on 1025 X768, high quality, with static lighting. In SoC the big building in the Garbage stuttered. CS stuttered where a whole lot of NPCs were battling and again inside the building at the Garbage. CoP except for the short lags while running has been relatively free of issues playing in the settings above.

if anybody hasn't played Shadow of Chernobyl with the Stalker 2009 mod you really owe it to yourself. to do so. this one seems to redeem Clear Sky which while it was fun, the incessant respawning of enemies made parts of it tedious to the point of being boring. with any of the STALKER games i think they go better if you run an unpacker so you can edit the data files. i don't mod too much- just increase the carry weight limit and increase the accuracy of the guns.

I... I love this game. A whole weird world.

In my first minute, after meeting the first 2 stalkers, I run into 2 boars.

I shot, the gun had terrible recoil, could not hit anything, and I died horribly (master difficulty).

At that moment I knew this would be the game to consume me for the next few months.

Still doing Skhadovsk missions, learning a bit about anomaly hunting.

@timorekusa If you like this and have not played Shadow of Chernobyl you should! I think it has to be in the top 3 of games I have played. I have played it through 5 times already. It hs a real strange atmosphere to it, both beautiful while desolate and haunting with real dangers. I came to love the Zone and Shadow of Chernobyl has been on my computer for a couple years now.
