Robin has the potential to be very deadly, even before the timeskip. During the Davy Back arc, Luffy's crew would have easily won if Robin just clutched all of Foxy's crew so they couldn't cheat. She may have also beaten Zoro's zombie or even Moria if she just promptly clutched them rather than waiting for them to fight back. Her main asset is the element of surprise associated with her ability, but if Oda had her fight the way she ideally should, then her battles would be very short.

Robin was very legit back then. Now, she can't even stop Zoro's zombie. Even after the time skip, it takes her and her clone to clutch a fishman. If Robin developed super human strength, she would be unstoppable against most swordsmen and Zoan users.
