I had the thrill of experiencing Miss Collier's "Tosca" in New Orleans when Sarah Caldwell's Boston Opera Company toured our city in the mid to late 1960s. Simply the best Tosca of those that I have seen. Her accidental death stunned the opera world.
I grew up in the street where she lived and knew her children well, especially her daughter. Lovely to find this clip.

Can you not read the first line of the introduction???
Although Australian Marie Coller was a principal soprano for CG and worked extensivly for ENO.
