  • Why'd you leave out all information on how to "Reduce & Relieve" it?

  • Hey I have cluster headaches, nothing of what she said was inaccurate, cut her a break, the more knowledge there is about it for people to see the better

  • can i ask anyone, if i have pain behind my eyes but it does'nt last long, lik one day, and i smoke two cigarette only for fun, does it means i have cluster headaches?

  • Try Oxygen!!! I work for a company that deliveries oxygen to cluster headache patiens every treatment is maximum 15 min of inhaling oxygen ( liters per minute is recomended by your doctor but up to 15 liter per minute is very common)

  • I've been on verapamil 180mg twice a day it seems to work great before the verapamil took a hold I was taking imetrix inhaler it seemed to help a lot for the pain.Really no pain pill will touch the pain.

  • And???? Is that all you can say??? We need treatment and NOW, forget the fact its mostly men and smokers who get this vile and torrid PAIN. My Neuro specialist has taken a keen interest in my condition I will keep all sufferers informed of what he plans, enough is enough

  • You should never have been allowed to produce this clip as you obviously know nothing whatsoever about such a serious condition.

I am a Chronic, and have suffered this pain for nearly five years, every day and every night. There is nothing on Earth like it. The nickname for this disease is 'suicide headaches'. I know people who have taken their own life, and have come close myself several times.

It effects all members of the family and everyday life.

You've insulted us all with this clip.

  • In my 20th year of having CH and I consider myself fairly intelligent when it comes to many issue of the head and neck as I am trained as a dentist. Having read almost every available piece of literature published on the topic of CH and attempted almost every treatment modality I can honestly say that this video is an embarrassment. The entirety of diagnostic symptoms is far from covered as if she just read a Readers Digest article and decided to report it on YouTube. Awful.

  • @azmab. It is typical of the bad science behind the fallacy of global warming. This sounds like a publication from the United Nations, complete with the fear mongering shock and horror that smoking is responsible!

How much funding did this whacko receive for producing this nonsense?

  • imagine you had this for 2 months everytime it knock at your head...would you open it?.you can keep your 7 figures back acct number.ill keep my head closed....

  • yes indeed i called it mother of all the headheaches attacked me 4 to 6x /dy almost at the same time everyday duration 2 months its my 4th attacked since 1987.1998.2006.2009 at the moment im in 2nd week of pain and agony.not until 2006 my new DR found out its was a CH.help me with prednisone.60 mg a day for one wk it is a program for diff dosage per wk until 5mg a/dy.right now i carry MAXALT RPD if i can feel its coming i will put one in my tounge bingo...less pain CH is not a joke.

  • CH how painful? if you had hang over its 100times worst than that.not only that imagine 4 to 6x/dy 30 mins to almost 2 hrs per attacked.some times extra attacked during sleep.imagine someone poking your eyes with hot metal rod digging the top and side of your skull with the same rod griping your cheek bones with vise gripe you feel everything popping out your cheek bones eyes top of your head side of your head and sometimes radiates to the roots of your tooth.imagine how painful it is.

  • INTENSE HORRIBLE PAIN should be the FIRST thing on any list of "syptoms".

All the others are just medical jargon.

It is impossible to even comprehend the pain involved with CH unless one has experienced it.

I mean, it is JUST ...like a bunch of sharp metal clamps have taken hold of the most sensetive nerve endings in your face/head/eye. Someone has stuck a rusty screwdriver into your orbital cavity and riped at the nerves.

Seconds seem like hours. Minutes like days.Sum Medevil torture device

  • Juste to tell you that we have created a FACEBOOK group... Cluster Headache European Sufferers group. Join us!

  • I have my own remedies, as we all do, but another thing I think is very important is that you do not let these things control you. Easier said than done, I know, but DO NOT let them become your defining charactoristic. If you have them, you have been cursed with incredible pain that most will never understand, and how could they? But it's only pain, don't let these things destroy your life or take it from you. Don't give in, don't give up, and hopefully you will find an answer. Good luck.

  • One thing I have learned in my 30 years experiance is that you HAVE to retain your composure no matter what. Only because the more upset YOU get, the worse THEY get. They thrive on that shit. I'm older now, and my reactions at this point are much different than when I was 20. As far as pain meds, whatever your opinions are regarding them, your gonna have to use them. So get used to it, your gonna be at this a long time. If you know the pain I don't have to tell you.

  • Honey baby, I been dealing with this shit for 30 fucking years, like way too many of my brothers and sisters. I'm glad your not my doctor, your way to callous, oversimplifying, and just my opinion, but you don't seem like you've ever actually treated a sufferer. If your here to get info don't buy her, go to the sites mentioned by the other posters, find a GOOD neurologist, and find what works for YOU. Were all slightly different, it's not a 1 size fits all deal. Continued.....

  • After having a KIP 10 today for over an hour I began to question the existence of God. I'm a 28 year old man and I ran around in painful agony, naked, screaming for death holding my cocked foward head. At the end I cried. To all those who do not have this, be thankful. I would not wish this on anyone.

  • u know nothing aboutb this pain ....please ....its worse than u vcan imagine ....every cluster headache patient should be ghiven 10 million dollars , so that that can at least enjoy their pain free time ...see u in heaven

  • 1st of all you should have done some research about this type of pain much of which has to do with the equinox the change of the seasons ,it occurs in men mainly in their 40ies my third year as a sufferer and it seems as if blowing yer head off would be the most appropriate action

..verapamil lithium ,narcotics and pure oxygen and a hot 30 -45 min shower helps reducing this pain and i have had as many as 5-25 of them in a 8 hr period for 4-6months

  • I was diaginosed with CH about 5 months ago, and nothing in this video is what I have. Except for the fact that I am a male. The Pain is so bad sometimes I wish i was dead to stop it. After they hit, I will not sleep for a day thinking it will strike again.

  • No disrespect, but, this doctor obviously knows close to nothing about cluster headache. First of all, at the TOP of your list should be "Unimaginable Pain".

During an attack, a sufferer is in severe trauma. Help him with that first and foremost, then do your little evaluation. Also, you have your attack duration times WAY off. Doing more harm than good here. I too have spent years in absolute agony all due to doctors ignorance when it comes to knowledge of CH. Inexcusable in this day and age.

  • Get a life lady - you have Noooo idea at all about the extent pain, or the devestation the pain leaves ya soul in.

  • There is a new post from the Spaniard on clusterheadaches(dot)com. He claims relief by raising the arms above the head and pumping the fists. Check it out!

  • As a cluster headache sufferer for almost 30 years, I am SO glad this person is NOT my doctor. She needs to learn more about the condition, before she starts spouting of misleading "facts". This is one of the things that frustrates and infuriates most of us sufferers, the fact that many "learned" doctors don't even know or understand them. This leads to a LOT of misdiagnoses, and INCORRECT treatment! Remember, phd after a name sometimes stands for "Piled Higher, and Deeper"
