That's not correct, EchBin. They are all Tex-Mex (overwound) pickups. The middle one is a Strat-type pickup, also a Tex-Mex. It comes with a set of Tex-Mex pickups.
I think the neck pickup is about as sweet as any I've ever heard. I love playing it. I'm also a fan of the middle pup tone. I know that's practically heretical in the tele world! :D The neck just has a really great feel as does the body in general. Excellent build.
Thanks frets. Yeah I like the middle and neck best too, but I expected the bridge to be more country. Might start with changing the bridge pup. I love the sound of the one on your Jerry Reed? Tele (the first one in your comparison video). Cheers.

I have a blonde Nashville Tele. You can't hardly get a bad sound out of it. However, I can. Nice, tone!

I don't believe it does but I'd have to look at it when I get home. I seriously doubt it though.

I've decided I really don't like the sound of this thing much, pickup-wise. Why do you love yours so much, frets?

That is a terrific bridge pup for sure. Tradition commissioned their own pickups and did a hell of a job with the Jerry Reid Models!
frets99 3 years ago
It sounds as much like a strat as a Tele, I reckon. I think the hotter pickups lose something of the twang.
I own the exact same one, colour and all.
Thanks for all your vids mate!
