This is a heartbreaking clip, because if there was any character on ER that really grew and matured...It was Carter's. A real good friend of mine died of kidney disease, a few years ago. So, looking at this clip as the camera zoomed in brought tears.

It's a hemodialysis machine and I really hope they don't kill him because so much good could be done in telling people about live donation!! People with kidney disease who are on dialysis live full healthy lives a lot of the time, and when they're transplanted it's even better!!

LOL no, not a doctor, but I was on hemo for 9 months before switching to Peritoneal dialysis. I do work in the medical field, so I have the terminology...ohhhh but a little knowledge is dangerous ;)

ER Episode 19 according to wiki...

On episode 19 - Neela (Parminder Nagra) and Sam (Linda Cardellini) are shocked when they arrive back to the airport with transplant organs only to find that their plane has left them. Dr. Carter (guest star Noah Wyle) gets a surprise visit from an old friend (guest star Eriq La Salle) while waiting for his kidney transplant. Dr. Banfield bonds with an abandoned baby boy that is left at the ER.

cool... the only "bad" thing is that is the epi 19 not the epi 17, the sooner the better lol, and also the worse cause gets close to the end.

So Carter has a kidney problem... good to know, at least is a clue... anyway, I still pray and beg: PLEASE DON'T KILL HIM!!!!
