You know what??? You're right!!!!!!!!! There are no curves or squiggles. It's Chinese. Please forgive my ignorance, Sorry, I didn't look properly, Chinese Characters have no squiggles, just lines - straight, horizontal and diagonal. Can you speak Hokkien as well as Mandarin????

In fact what you said the characters just in lines, horizontal and diagonal are Korean but not Chinese and Japanese.

Chinese and Japanese have the same or similar strokes and calligraphy but Korean is totally different.

I can speak fairly Hokkien but fluent Mandarin.

I thought that the Japanese do use Chinese characters but with their own squiggles and curves, where as Chinese doesn't have circles, and exaggerted massive curves. I know what you mean, I know the Japanese use some Chinese characters. And I know Korea Hangul, which was made by King Seajong. God bless.
