  • love the music; i heard it over on DisneyFans whats it called?

  • creepy...

  • PLEASE WATCH MY VIDEOS

  • that song is awsome

  • in 2000 when we went to d.l. i was so dissapointed that swiss family tree house was now tarzans..ruined it, imo.

  • I'm a military history buff and I get a big laugh at how the WWII German Army license plate on the truck with the "WH" (Wehrmacht Heer) prefix sticks out like a sore thumb. At least to me it does.

The mining town at the Big Thunder Mountain ride is not the original mining town from the old Mine Train ride. I saw the current one under construction when the Big Thunder ride was built.

  • @victorbrunswick You are incorrect, sir. The original mining town from Nature's Wonderland was slightly moved and the buildings were pushed closer together. The mining town is called Rainbow Ridge and was kept as an homage to the old attraction. Look closely at pics from the old ride and compare them to the town in Big Thunder Mountain... it is the same town.

  • Dude they did not forget them, those are Easter eggs. They left theme there on purpose

  • I knew most of this but other parts I didn't because some weren't in my research

  • i went to disneyland and rode on the marc twain i didnt find the mine train!:( but i found the boats and the gullywhumper ;D and ALOT of old remains of the mine train!!

  • @zwinkymichaeljackson Yeah, they just recently removed the old mine train that sat abandoned on the tracks with the little varmints popping up... bummer, huh?

  • @misterlaff do you know when? and thanks for telling me

  • is this in anahiem?

  • the country bear jamboree is in disney world in florida now :3

  • @vcarlton1000m yes, but there were two attractions originally. The Disney World one opened in 1971 with the park.

  • @erikals2 thanks i didnt know that :3

  • @vcarlton1000m you're welcome - and one more thing, when Winnie the Pooh evicted the country bears it was at Disneyland - the show wasn't that popular on the West Coast, on the East Coast there was a lot more enthusiasm for the show. They still have it to this day (albeit with replaced animatronics and computer control (the original animatronics from '71 I heard were run off synchronised tape decks.

  • @erikals2 Wrong. It was popular on the West Coast. The reason not as many seats where filled is because there were two theatres. With two threatres they get divided in half and that means half an audience compared to one theatre. Do you see what I mean?

  • @PhineasTheGhost Oh right, so on the East Coast they had one theatre and on the West they had two. Thanks for the info - thought it was a popularity drop that closed the Disneyland CBJ. It's great to have people like you to correct others if they make an honest mistake.

  • @erikals2 The real reason for it's closure was Winnie the Pooh's success at WDW. They decided to try something new here but just screwed up Critter Country.

One other secret about Winnie the Pooh is the balloon scene uses the same stuff as Teddi Bara's swing.

  • @PhineasTheGhost at WDW they also had to close Mr Toad's Wild Ride - I heard in that attraction the painted metal Satan in the heated room near the end of the ride people used to spit on him as they went past, every day after the ride closed the cast members would have to go through to 'Hell' and clean him.

I've never heard about Teddi Bara's swing mechanism being reused for Winnie the Pooh, thanks for the heads up.

  • 2:06 last time I went to Disneyland I saw those heads. It was cool!

  • I've recently been to that big tree in Anaheim. The houses in the background have been demolished and the tree has its own little park now. =3

  • Im at disneyland now! Gonna go look for that stuff

  • @EpicTaco9901 if u go on the winnie the pooh ride look for the country bear jamberies i saw them on top during the ride & if u go on the haunted mansion look real closely at the ghost bride and u can see the maniquen part lol :D

  • is like an archaelogical discovery old stuff that still exists

  • I remember Tom Sawyer's Fort... with the guns that made shooting noises and then some dumb ass decided to to run and forgot to pull his finger out and cut it off. They closed the upper part, but u still were able to go through it. now it's not in use at all :(((( really!? but you still have Big thunder and 2 people have died from it. hmmmm... disney really?

  • EERIE..... ITS KINDA CREEPY THINKING WHAT MIGHT LIVE IN THE FORRESTS of DISNEYLAND....

  • i dont get it inside sapsh moutain america sings

  • @lugiafilmer many of the old animatronics from America Sings were used in Splash Mountain (eg some of the geese, frogs, alligators, etc).

  • whats the song

  • its sooo weird how a lot of the old rides at Disneyland still run in Disney World

  • I found the lost track of Mine Adevnture! Its Large!

Also i found the old characters in Winnie the Pooh! Their large! Many people can think, that Winnie like to kill animals.

Also there are lot of old sights about TS Island... And about old attraction before Astro Blasters, Swiss Family Tree House, Parking Sight in IJ Adventures, Carousel of Progress and Submarine adventure... I like old version a lot.

  • I really wonder what Disneyland will look like years from now... hopefully the beautiful old school charm will still remain.

  • 0:30 it has a mercedes symbol... jeep? nah

  • Very nice video!

  • I've been going to King's Island near Cinny, OH. since it was new. I've seen a lot of changes there in the last 40 years and I see so many things that are reused from old attractions and remants of past rides all around the park. Just have to know what to look for....well, and be old enough to know what to look for....LOL!

  • if disneyland would have kept everything from the original 1955 park and never changed anything, the park would now be outdated, hokey and boring. I think they are doing a good job keeping some of the old and still updating. imagine in 2000 years if history is lost and people dig up this park. i wonder what kind of society they would think this was?

  • i havent been on the newer finding nemo sub ride. i wonder if they still have some of the old stuff from the old submarine ride in there? it's cool they kept the three heads up in the old country bear jamboree. when i first saw them i was about 3 or 4 and they scared me really bad, because i knew they were supposed to be dead and they were rolling their eyes around and talking. now im old and i dont like change. i wish disneyland was how i remembered it as a kid, but (continued)

  • I loved Fort Widerness when I was a kid. And super bummed the mine-train ride is closed. Too much change. Some new idiots at Disney deciding they need to mix things up so they can justify their jobs. A-Holes.

  • @prettynpinkgurlz People just became offended due to its "racism". Tom Sawyer was history >_> whatever. People suck.

  • omg ive been looking for the eeyire sign for 3 years and never found it this is great. thanks

  • I don't get the "Pssst... look up then back" bit. :\

  • @prettynpinkgurlz there's really a video of it? because the only one I saw was just some fancy editing to get the feel of how it looked

  • Yes Disney has been recycling for years...why throw i away when it's still good?

  • Actually, his name is Eeyore, not Eyeore

  • what's the song called?

  • Im sorry to say it but the secert about the train is incorrect

  • Thus video is 4:20 long. hahahahaha 420 ;)

  • whats fort wilderness

  • For the Winnie the pooh ride if you look behind you after the heffalump scene where pooh is stuck in the hunny pot in the wall quickly look behind you. As for the Splash mountain, during production of the splash mountain ride the ride had gone past the budget so to complete it they took down the America sings and used the chatcyers as some of the animals. Also 6 geese were scraped and the 2 robots in the old star tours that were silly are the robotic skeletons of the 2 geese from America Sings.

  • @wildpoolcat The two geese in the Star Tours queue? G2-9T I think one of them is...

  • So wait....Disneyland doesn't have Country Bears, The Swiss Family Robinson Tree House, or a People Mover?! Sorry if this seams like a stupid question, I'm a Disney World person myself and have never been to the original. We have all three, though for the past few years they haven't played the Country Bears Christmas show during the holidays.

  • When I went to Disney world in 09 I got to experience some great nostalgia with the country bears. It was nice to see that again after all those years.

  • I don't know if this is true or not but apparently America Sings closed down because someone (Deborah Stone) got crushed between the rotating walls.

  • @aMAXproduction thats true.... BUT it stayed open a couple more months.

  • @aMAXproduction It's true, she did get killed, but that was eight days after it opened, in 1974. It closed in 1988.

  • @aMAXproduction That's not the reason "America Sings" closed down. The reason is just that the attraction wasn't pulling in guests anymore. However, breakaway walls were installed onto 'the "America Sings" (now Innoventions) building because of here death.

  • Comment removed

  • I like the idea that in a place you'd think was immune to the passage of time, history nonetheless presents itself, showing that there was indeed a past in this supposedly timeless place.

  • They REALLY need to do something with Fort Wilderness..........

  • 2:41 It's gone now... I heard it went into preservation.

  • Did you know that the chest in the first pirates of the carbean is in the ride in the cave of treser at the end

  • Tony Baxter of Walt Disney Imagineering (who oversaw the Indiana Jones Adventure) said in a presentation that the jeep in front of the show building was from the first movie. (I believe he mentioned that the jeep needed weatherproofing.) I still have a recording of this presentation somewhere.

  • Thanks for sharing this.

    George Vreeland Hill

  • 1:07 that kid is so fucking lucky to be wearing a john lennon "new york city" t-shirt, i am now in a jealous rage

  • Might I add some more old Nature's Wonderland remnants? Well in the pond on the Big Thunder trail, the beat country fish occasional work. If you are near the Big Thunder BBQ you are literally standing on the living desert. It had collapsed and was built over. The teetering rocks are still there; the mechanisms inside are probably still there too. The marmots that originally peeked at passengers from over a cave now are in the crashed car shown in the video. The train is under where Cascade Fall

  • 9 people lost their childhood..sad. :(

  • :( I liked the tree house better when it was the Swiss family one, that was one of my favorite films when I was a kid. Sometimes I wish they would just expand the park and build stuff instead of close down stuff to convert it to other things (the pooh ride)

  • These video's are great. I believe, however, that the steam pump train engines in the queue for Big Thunder Mountain Railroad were from "The Great Locomotive Chase". Though I expect they might have been used in "Hot Lead and Cold Feet" as well. There is a plaque under the engine that explains it.

  • Swiss Family treehouse, country bear jamboree, peoplemover, carousel of progress... these rides Disneyland ditched are still at Disney World. however, Disney World lost Mr. Toad to Winnie The Pooh.

  • Ok first of all le tme say this, i LOVE these videos. i first watched them about 2 years ago when i first found my interest in dsiney history and secrets. i instantly fell in love with these videos. Ive ben waiting soooo long for another so im excited to see that.

also, what is the music in this one?

thank you and i cant wait for more videos :D

  • I want to go back now and find all of this stuff and actually see it for real.

  • I miss the good old DISNEYLAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i see a hidden mickey

  • did the mine train ride take place on the island? also do you know anything cool about the submarine voyage? i would love to know!

  • I remember when they had the Mule ride next to the Mine Train. Also, the sound track to the original Bear Country Jamboree is still in my head. That soundtrack was hilarious and I I believe it was changed due to political correctness.

Here's a song called "Mama Don't Whoop Poor Buford."

    Mama don't whoop poor Buford.....

Mama don't pound on his head.........

    Mama don't whoop poor Buford.....

I think you should shoot him instead....

    Great stuff.

  • @glentubin It was actually 'little Buford' as I heard it, but it may have been 'poor Buford' I'm not quite sure.

  • @erikals2 "Mama don't whoop little Buford... mama don't pound on his head. Mama don't whoop little Buford... I think you should shoot him instead!"

  • the winnie the pooh ride was not the old country bear jamborie, that was over by thunder mountain. disney moves things around the old country bears jamborie items were just moved like the eyeore parking sign

lol and mcdonald's isnt there anymore because they forgot to renew their contract

    should really update this sorry

  • @sarbearsayshi No, the Winnie the Pooh ride is exactly where Country Bears were. The entry to Country Bears is where the beehive cars enter the ride. Country Bears was never in Frontierland, although, even as a kid, I thought that's where it should have been.

  • I think how some of the things they changed in Disney Land they kept in Disney World (& vise versa) is kinda strange. I'm just sayin.

  • I don't know if you want to make a note, but the train has been removed after the Rivers refurb. Though the tracks are still there.

  • Nice production !

    Thanks for posting this !

  • Now the Mcdonalds is gone, and Tom Sawyer is Pirate Island! Gosh no Tom Sawyer or Swiss Family Treehouse. I guess people don't like to read anymore.

  • @Mgdisney15 No more treehouse?! Nooooo!

  • @Mgdisney15

Sadly, I've never read either... But I've heard nothing but good about both of them. :) And that reminds me... Disney World just got rid of the Swiss Family Tree House. I got to go in it when I was 9, but its not been there since. :(

  • @CosplayCore

HEY WAIT! YOU GUYS GOT TARZAN'S TREE HOUSE IN DISNEY LAND?!!! AND WHAT DID DISNEY WORLD GET FOR GETTING RID OF THE SWISS FAMILY TREE HOUSE?! NOTHING!!!! D=< AGAIN, I am MAAAAAAD at Disney World!!! THE FUN DIDN'T ARRIVE!!!!! D=< I would have LOVED for them to get Tarzan's Tree House instead to make-up for the lost "Tarzan Rocks!" show! D=<

  • @CosplayCore Disney world got rid of Swiss Family Tree House?? SOOOO glad I took my entire family through it last year. That was always one of my favorite attractions.

  • @pfisher101 The Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse has been gone from Disneyland since 1999, but still remains in Walt Disney World in Florida, Disneyland Paris, and in Disneyland Tokyo.

  • fjkjkjkjk

  • I really miss my childhood now, watching this has brought back many wonderful memories that I can remember. And I feel kinda bad for the old Mine Train, abandoned like that and no one cares about it......sad:(

  • why did they close fort wilderness and tom sawyers island i remember my family took this test subject thing to improve sawyers island and a little bit of the pirates island. they had little digital games for the island. and i herd there redoing fort wilderness and it will reopen 2013 as a pirates fort

  • cool vid ,dont delete this vid plz

  • This video rocks! I love the footage of both old and new Disneyland stuff!!!!

  • Have not been there in 30 years. Going there would be like the Neil Diamond song "Brooklyn Roads" a song about how places have changed.

  • They still have the heads?!?! wow, and what ever did happen to Fort Wilderness, its still there but not open

  • @FalcovsWolfvsFox termites.

  • @Benstudio13 seriously, wow, how strange

  • HAHAHA, as soon as the video said "See Tarzan's Treehouse?" I thought, OH MY GOD TARZAN STOLE THEIR HOUSE.

I remember going there when I was little.

I'm only eighteen and I feel old.

  • I miss the Country Bears...

  • 2:44 OH MY PORK! IT"S THE TRAIN THAT KILLED MARCELLO TORRES! lol

  • @masterofpistols are you serious or are you just joking around?

  • this is awesome

  • If you want to go way back, look at Mr Toads wild ride. I can remember the canoes and the train that took you through the tunnel full of dinosaurs. Happiest place? Not.

  • Yeah Thunder Mountain actually used to go faster. until they had those deaths on it they took those trains out and did all that stuff. now it goes slower and brakes alot more.

  • @SuperTerribad thundermountain actually used to be a whole different ride. its why you see the broken train around 3:00 and the boarded tunnel.

  • @AspenAxL oh yes, it use to be Nature's Wonderland. :]

  • @Alec1NG well its not called the happiest place for no reason.

  • @fabioproductions it may be called the happiest place on earth but disney land has seen some not so happy and quite dark times in its past.

For example, The pirates of the carribean on grand opening used real human remains.

the Riverboat that is the duplicate of the tradership from 1700s, a man was smashed in the face from a loose board that killed him on inpact. and in front of his grandchildren. Space Mountain sent a woman through again after she rode once and experianced a brain tumor.

  • @fabioproductions the pipe used to build the nemo ride burst and sunk tomorrow land. a man was attacked from a rival gang in the park, a graduate climbed on the monorail and was sliced in half from an on passing train..disney has seen dark days so its not really happy.

  • @AspenAxL thanks for the little brief history I would have never known about that. can people still go to these parks?

  • @Alec1NG the reason why it was boarded up was because that used to be the original train ride to Big Thunder railroad. The new orleans square area is built ontop of one of the original worlds that opened in 1950s. that cave used to take guest to the original rainbow peak. Also disney did install motion detectors so they do know when guests are sneaking off dark rides to do naughty things..

  • @Alec1NG seriously?

  • @Alec1NG lol seriously?

  • @Alec1NG how do you know they have sex in the cave?

  • @Alec1NG serious? that's funny!

  • @Alec1NG

Where did you hear that from?

  • @Alec1NG Really?

  • @Alec1NG giggity.

  • @Alec1NG no it used to be a train track you hoe jk

  • @Alec1NG it would be difficult having to fit inside a cramped train...

  • The Indy truck was in the movie, the golf ball on the side post was for him to see where to whip

  • America sings was attraction in the building where innovations is presently (the rotating one). Instead of wasting all of the animatronics almost all of then were used in the new ride splash moutain where they are still are today

  • The old train ride was called nature wonderland and took over after they took out the burro and wagon tours. I believe they changed it because they wanted a more adventurous attraction for the guests. Not sure though, I would of loved to go on it.

  • its so cool to see this! next time i go im gonna llok out for the heads. i heard that some people are trying to turn tom sawyers island into like Lost or something like that, but i dont know if its true.

  • no i doubt that is true. but they did turn it into a pirate themed version of tom sawer island called pirate's lair

  • tom sawyers island is gone it is now pirates lair

  • @jimmyjam9014 WHAT!!!??? They got rid of Tom Sawyers island? WHEN? it was so awesome

  • @FirestarScourge117 Tom Saywers Island has been missing from disneyland since I last went there in 2007. I recall the construction and the crew using those boats to constantly go to and from the island.

  • Love the vid. Thanks for posting! Do you know the artist and title of the background song used in this video? I would really like to purchase it. Thanks again...

  • I remember Country Bear Jamboree being in the old saloon. I don't actually recall the Pooh ride aread even being open before Splash Mountain came in. Are you sure about that one?

  • i know i thought that one was kinda weird too

  • It's a bit creepy to see the heads inside of the Winnie the Pooh ride. They're there in the shadows, smiling. Finally saw them a few weeks ago. So cool.

  • i think the old train ride had an accedent i think thats why they never used it again

  • i saw those americea sings things in splash mountion i said are those part of the ride and my mom said they looked old so she told me it was an old ride

  • i told my parents about the heads in Pooh, we plan on going next year :D

  • the truck in front of Indy is not in the front anymore:(

  • They moved it?

  • I think they are using it in the next Indy movie or something. I have no clue why it isn't there.

  • They took out Big Thunder Mountain? I assume it's because of the accident a few years back? Kinda stupid if you ask me. At least one kid has died on the Rock n Roller coaster and a couple have died on Mission Space yet they are still running.

  • It didn't close. Before I think there was a kiddie train ride that wasn't a roller coaster. But you're right; they shouldn't take out those rides. I mean really, you could get killed by just walking across the street. No reason to take out rides.

  • what are you talking about kid?

  • the truck WAS used in the original Indy movie.

  • I go to Walt Disney World a lot but watch disneyland vids and THANK YOU! Thats amazing pieces of memories! You rock! Both Disneys rock!

  • so what do you prefer more, disneyland or disneyworld?

  • there is no mickey trust me i know it is black and i am a mickey freak i once saw 28

  • the cave at 316 is a hidden mickey!!!!!!!!!!!=D im so smart :P

  • i saw that too!

  • there used to be a old mine train ride? man that sucks that they took it away

  • this was really great brings back some good memories.

  • im lost a little so what is with the eyeore sign? did the indy ride use to be a parking lot?

  • yep

  • 2:31 i see the artifact was created because they cannot demolish the ride then they just close it up, cut off the power connections and abandon it...

  • That is soooooo cool!

  • :O ive never been there but i love these they are very col for people like me who haven't been there thank you!!

  • awesome vid, but the song is a little annoying.

  • actually, they are clips for the most part

  • ho did you get these clips

  • great video, favorited =)

  • did you know in Indy, that after the video room with the closed off artifact room, it says on the side: Deliver to Club Obi-Owan

  • Country Bear Jamboree is supposed to return to Disneyland Resort. But it won't be in Disneyland, it will be in California Adventure. By the Grizzly River Run area. Expected to be released next year.

  • they dont have mcdonalds any more. and there was a picture of a walls water that made a m for mcdonalds on the way to slpash moutian. they got rid of it to

  • they don't have mickey D's no more!?!?!?!?

    oh boo

  • So I watched all 3 and looked around for part IV....

    Thank you for posting these.

  • this is a useful video. thanks. :)

  • This compilation is so wonderful! Thank you, chrisepting!

I absolutely must find the background music you used for this piece... Any clues?

  • the mcdonalds wagon is gone now, and they turned tom sawyer's island into "pirate island"
