Because Wyatt was supposed to be a special birth, and was twice blessed.

Wyatt had blonde hair because his father was blonde-ish, thus he inherited that trait from his father. Chris had brown hair because his mom had brown hair, hence Chris having brown hair.

Later on in the series they mention that the baby had orbed out of her before she could finish giving birth. At least, if my memory serves me correctly. It's been a while since I've seen that particular episode...It was such a sweet moment! One of the best I think. :)
