The combat in this game looks terrible. "Oh sorry guys I swung my sword two times now I have to wait 5 years before I can do it again." That's not how battles work. The enemies he fights from 6:15 and on are perfect examples. No one would really sit there and wait for you to hit them.

Other than that the game looks alright.

@Samus5164 Yeah I have no idea. It looks bad, that's what I can see. Seems like they tried to cross between a turn-based system and a real-time fighter system... I hate when games are so unrealistic. It's one of the reasons I somewhat dislike turn-based action games...no big monster or boss or whatever is just going to stand there and let you hit them. Same goes for the players...why would someone stand there and just let the enemy hit them? It just makes no sense to me.

@MrKyel17 Honestly, it ought to be realistic, like Demon's Souls' combat system is. Multiple enemies aren't just gonna stand back while you take one of them at a time (ex. Assassin's Creed) and they're not gonna take turns letting you hit them. They're gonna defend, swing, and aim to kill you.

@MrKillswitch1698 Real =/= Realistic. Monsters aren't real, but can be made very realistic. Look at Demon's Souls, for example, since it was brought up already. Very realistic game. If you get hit a few times with a sword...you die. It's not like in Assassin's Creed (which I still love) where you can take like ten direct hits from a sword before dying. The AI is also aggressive...it's not like here in this game where the monster is sitting there WAITING for the player to hit them.

@Kindlesmith70 Look at the "boss" battle with the giant troll thing...it attacked THREE times. It starts by running directly past them, and stopping...letting them get free hits. He mostly just stood there and pounded his chest and roared. That was pathetic.

Other examples...look at the whatever he's fighting at 6:40, it did NOTHING to retaliate or defend itself. Same thing a few seconds later: he attacks the bowman...and the bowman just turns around and ignores the player.

@MrKyel17 yeah, this clip is an example of how the international version plays not the actual remastered game you get with WKC2. The giants/trolls tend to strike out a fair amount of times first before buffing themselves and continuing attacks. Most small monsters you can easily engage from side or rear without them initiating battles. things like the huge dogs, wasps and human enemies attack almost immediately you get near them. Remastered was improved to remove previous stupid ai and such.

Man i couldn't stand this game its a huge step down from the other insane games lvl5 made. My favorites are Dark Cloud 2 and Rogue Galaxy.

When I bought this I was hugely disappointed.

Battle system, skills, and weapon combinations are messed up.
