  • this is similar speed to how he rides in gps now ;-)

  • I don't like this sound!

  • @IXIAdelXI Thankyou for the nicer response than below, I have learnt about the power band since this comment at college on my motorcycle engineering course :) thankyou

  • @ChriswarrenBadlad I'm intrested in bikes, I was enjoying the idea of becoming a motorcycle mechanic, but I'm not sure how I'd go about it?

Can you be JUST a motorcycle mechanic? (not have to work on cars etc)

    Please reply =]

  • @Spraaaaay Yeah absolutely you can be just a motorcycle mechanic, just look for courses in any colleges near you or go and speak with your local bike mechanics they will help you out, good luck.

  • @JazzFiveO Okay thanks man, appreciate the feedback!

  • @pischow that was uncalled-for, it's not a stupid comment atall, your comment was however, why would a high cc 4-stroke sound higher revving than a 125? Very immature comment

  • Hi, I'm a new rider, YZF R125 2010... Is it just me or is the camera bike in way too higher revs on this parade lap, I just sat through it waiting for him to change up :P ???

  • Comment removed

  • @ChriswarrenBadlad maybe this bikes got a little more power than 11kw and 15 hp like IN YOUR AMAZING YZF R125 2010. you don´t have to say it that you are a new rider. When everybody knows it already When you say a stupid comment like that.

  • @ChriswarrenBadlad to keep the revs in the powerband for better response from the throttle, and it lets him wheelie easier.

  • @ChriswarrenBadlad its just you

  • Rossi is ace, MCN is the worst motorcycling publication in the world. Hypocrites !!!!!

  • Wow, sounds like 2-Cylinders...now if it is then somebody lied about the 2009 R1.

  • @Davetts92... was thinking the exact same thing!

  • Why doesn't somebody tell Rossi's publicist / marketing team to remove the damn fender off his streetbikes.

  • fuck I miss summer right now

  • I`d fuck rossi and im a man

  • Love to ride with Rossi

  • its funny watching the people blur past aroung 4:00

  • is he riding the m1 yamaha? or some r1?

  • the 2009 r1 stock

  • Thank you

I watched the video again and I realised that, but was too late I have already posted my stupid question -:)

    Safe riding, mate

  • cool

  • i don't see any racing there - more waving around and showing off wheelies...

  • Its a parade lap....he isn't supposed to be racing.

  • i see :P - boring...

  • I Love Rossi, but i´ve seen much better IoM - Racers

  • hes not racing here

  • everybody ere knows rossi is a living legend....................and wish him the best

but i dont think he'd have the balls to race the tt ever...ya need BIG BALLS

  • Buncha squids, i say! :-0

  • how awesome it would be to boot around with rossi...

  • I love it at, 2:05 - cool vid

  • maybe this is just me, but the new R1 sounds like a V8 that revs to 14000 rpm.

  • hahaha the 09 so definitely does! lol!

  • I think anyone that rides a lot knows thats an I4.. Its certainly no twin..

  • p.s. google images "rossi riding at tt" first pic, R1 R1 R1

  • that is an r1

  • That is no R1..

  • I don't think the camera bike is a R1. if so it doesn't capture the sound of it worth a crap.

that sounds more like a ducati or a F4 agusta.

  • Thats definitely an R1.

  • I don't know man, it sounds like it has a dry clutch like a ducati does to me.

  • the new 09 r1 has an uneven firing order, so thats why it doesnt have the high pitch exhaust sound of other inline 4 bikes, you can tell it isnt a ducati because it doesnt sound bassy and the really low pitch droning sound.

  • haha are you joking ? oO

an R1 take more than 13.000 rpm dude

its not a shitty italian ride like this !

  • you dont know how a ducati sounds

  • it is infact the new yamaha r1 so get ur facts right before u write anything like that

  • I'd like to see Rossi and other stars from MotoGP and world SuperBike do a race there at the isle of man, do it for charity that way it gives them a reason to do it vs backing out and looking bad. One day I will make it to the Isle of man to watch it with my own eyes.

  • i was at the cronk and watched them it was great

  • I was in the grandstand at the beginning. They still managed a 94mph average

  • Is it me or is the camera bike having a hard time keeping up with the two in front? Rossi wasn't even trying...just cruising....nice!

  • its probely becasue rossi knows this road like the back of his hand

  • Yeah, that's it, got absolutely nothing to do with the fact he's a multiple time world champion. :P

  • Bit hypocritical for MCN to be involved in this lap considering the slating it gave the TT in 2005. I haven't bought a copy since and never will. They should've let another TT hero ride with them instead. That said, you just know Rossi was enjoying himself, good on him.

  • thank god the fucks at MCN didnt dub over the engine sounds this time

  • I will admit that it's annoying but sometimes the audio sounds like some old geezer farting into a microphone and it's better with music.

  • lol bet the spectators had a shock when Rossi flew past

  • Well maybe not traction control (thought so at first at 2:55), just teeter-totting the throttle.... anyhow, great riding and great video!

  • What are you riding? ZX10R? 1098? Unfortunately for me, i'm not familiar with the sounds of either. It seems to have traction control.. and it's seems like Rossi blends his braking into corners and accelerating out of them together. I'd just love to race =)

And suddenly, at 1:30, the gruesome twosome seem to disappear... Marc, is this an indication that you are a mere mortal? Well, it's a parade lap, and obviously you're able to throw a bike around, so i'll give credit where credit's due!

  • He's driving another R1.

  • Gotcha. I realized it wasn't tc after watching it a second time...just heard the br-br-brrr in the corner. It sure does make some lovely noise.

  • Whoa!! I was thinking this was just another highlight video or whatever until I clicked on it. Thank god I did, because this is awesome. Thank you MCN!!!!!

  • Bellissimo!

  • The road side spectators look like ghostly semi transparent figures that have been superimposed on each other. Very spooky effect.

  • at 2:14 you can really tell!

  • Amazing vid.

  • Rossi is a cool guy

  • Such a dangerous race. Amazing to watch but it scares the hell out of me for the riders. One mistake and you're not going home.

  • Isle Of MEN.

Unforgiving, yet, beautiful. RIP to all those that have passed.

    Best race, EVER.

  • boring video

(obs: for someone that OWNS a 09 R1, this video is boring)

    still sounds great

  • i hate the new sound of the R1.... dont sound like no sportbike!

  • it's a breath of fresh air from the world of sreaming 4s! it splits the monotony from all the other bikes lap by lap.

  • then get a harley. sportbikes SCREAM and i LIKE

  • What? Really? Not a MotoGP fan then? "Dont sound like no sportbike." I think that quote answers my question.

  • no dont realy like motogp. i like supersport and superbike. at least when you watch it, your watching bikes you can afford. and SCREAMERS

  • change gear once in a while

  • dame!!rossi!!

  • The new R1 just sounds fantastic, great vid. must have tobe mental to race there though!

  • Sweet

  • he is the doctor! awesome

  • Rissi is just naturally fast

  • awesome...

  • Nice vid, some canny wheelies there like Potter. You should upload the full lengh video. By the way what camera are you using, i'm looking at getting one myself

  • We borrowed a camera from the TV guys at the Island, so not sure what kit it was I'm afraid. Thanks for the kind comments chief.

  • Rossi was asked if he'd like the track introduced to MotoGP, his repley was along the lines of 'no effing way!'

  • dont blame him lol

  • I totally agree with that sentiment. You crash at 150mph on the Isle of Man and you're probably going to die. MotoGP courses have a ton of runoff, sand traps, and are generally designed with the possibility of crashing in mind. Ever see a friend lowside into a guard rail at 80mph? It isn't pretty.

  • I'd love to see him take a real timed lap.

  • you wouldnt see him.

  • lol lucky git!! ;o)

  • Valentino FTW

  • Been waiting for this, Thanks!!
